There is a spiritual truth..'What you see, is what you are...the crow sees the dead and dying things in the garden, while the butterfly sees the flowers.' Keep highlighting the positive and this will bless all of us. You have been brought here, to the land of new zeal. While many worldly folks are fleeing to Aus, the spiritual one are finding their peace here. Go well.
Originally from Stoke-on-Trent but came here as a kid. I do have a fixation with weather and wind but so far have spent 25 years out of 51 living on boats. Wind gives me free power and I haven’t had a power bill for over 18 years. Also was self sufficient during the cyclone here in HB. Am on call for marine rescue also so need to keep a handle on the weather and as a pilot also have more than a passing interest, just thought it was normal. I do note on some USA videos, that it can be so still which seems odd to me but I am in a different situation. As a dual tradie, when people find out, they can be super quick for a favour for them. Stopped being open for that as it feels I got taken advantage of that but still do my rescue volunteer work to put into society.
Thank you so very much for sharing with us, this is so interesting! I can see why you would love the wind! Have a great week and thank you again for being with us and for taking the time to say hi! 💨😊⛵️⛵️

So true about nature, travelling to 5 countries recently noticed that moving from one country in the city to another country in nature my whole body relaxed dramatically. It focuses for me how lucky I am to live in NZ. In NZ, even if one lives in the city, it is not that far to have access to nature.
Hi Liz, I have been rereading your book recently and the laughs out loud were still there in the second reading. You are a nui kaikorero korero (a great story teller) you make me harikoa (joyous) when I listen to your words in all of your momo toi (art forms). I hope you are filling yourself with the strength of your maunga and whanau . Take care my friend. Happy Matariki. Arohanui Tracy
Oh, Tracy...that means the world to me. Thank you! You are such a kind, warm and generous person. The words you write always bring me such comfort and after I have read them I feel as though I have had a big hug. I wanted you to know that ❤️ Liz xx
You know you’re a converted kiwi when you share from the heart and every message you put out to the world provides the warmth and generosity of you. We share one breath!! Thank you Liz.
Speaking of weather, I'm spending this year in the Lake District, here there's only two types of weather, raining or pissing it down! Just wind sounds like a blessing.
Yep it's only watties. The nz one Brian. Although it's not the same as it once was and it's changed again recently as it's become very thin and watery. We usually call fries chips and crisps chippies. I like others just handle the cold as it's only a few hours and you're off to bed where it's warm and the winter cold really only lasts a couple of months. Layer up handle it and carry on. Take care Liz. Arohanui
I have lived in Australia for 45 years after growing up in NZ. After about 30 years I gradually stopped buying Watties Baked Beans (because they were getting harder to find), and now buy Heinz, but I am still partial to Watties. You mind find that in the UK the temperature people heat their rooms to has gone down a little, as every degree hotter costs money.
I think it is a NZ thing to be weather obsessed wherever we are in NZ because of the wind😂 Tend not to think about it as guess use to it. Overseas visitors often remind me how windy NZ is.
hi guys love watching your vids ,so funny to watch you having a laugh on diff matters anyhow... if the wind that you have there now blowing in the beautiful background of you is a problem then you would be glad you weren't down here in southland for the summer all we got for most of the time was strong wing and rain , looks like you also have a spa pool down in the field as well , i just love the view you have there its so beautiful .....envious , your so right Brian we do love the outdoor connection thing ,im in a flat so i dont have a backyard but i wish i had a view like you guys have because sitting outside in the sun or at nigh is great , its that feel alive vibe you get when yor in the bush or out at a beach/river or in nature itself feeling
What a beautiful comment, thank you, our friend. It is so very, very true, being outside in nature is priceless. The absolute best. We love that we are able to bring a little of the outside to you. Thank you again, Liz and Brian xx
Putting that one on the list for next time ;) Haven't found anything i didn't like from kiwi quisine ... Didn't try some of the fishy stuff yet though :D Cheers.
Heinz own Watties which was founded in Hawkes Bay by James Wattie. Technically ketchup is Indonesian soy sauce, chips are Belgium fries and deep fried battered fish is from Portugal.
Considering I remember summers when the high rarely got above 20, I always thought of 16 degrees being t-shirt and shorts weather. Not so much now, as winter has been really warm compared to other years, but still. I appreciate the difference from England, having lived in London for 8 years, living in well insulated houses there. Living in an uninsulated house in NZ, you really notice the difference. And I still prefer heinz ketchup, but I started finding myself recently liking Watties tomato sauce as much as henz ketchup. Don't know why we tended to get heinz when I was growing up other than maybe because my parents are english and still liked the heinz. I must be getting soft in my old age for liking watties tomato sauce. I still call them just chips, and rely on context to tell if the are like english crisps or chips from a fish and chip shop. And NZ fish and chips are still better than London fish and chips. I missed the feeling of outdoors in NZ when in England, and looked forward to it whenever I visited. Now I'm back, I love the feeling espeically the native bird call, which I never used to hear in Whanganui, when I grew up here. The native plantings people have done changed that. I admit I was surprised when a tradie on the side of the road said a friendly Kia ora/hello to me, a complate stranger, that I rarely encountered in London. I still love listening to you guys, especially videos like this.
And we still love having you with us, James! I am so happy that your move back home has been smooth and we hope that you will continue to join us here on the podcast! Sending you much love my friend, Liz and Brian 🥰

@@ItsaDrama Well, my first thought is that you are mixing with older folks who are showing their age, or perhaps you stumbled across a bus outing of persons from a certain type of facility that caters for old people or those doing rehab?
