Instead of going for Active Mutual funds and paying for Fund Managers, we should go for Passive Mutual Funds where we do not have to pay for the fund managers. A simple way for beginners is to invest in an Index Fund. Then we learn how to pick stocks and other passive mutual funds for building a better portfolio.
