This reminds me of a homeless guy who I encountered living in the ground right next to a cemetery right before the covid pandemic. I tried to talk with him but all he would do is smoke his drug, look at me and at times and eventually covered himself up in the ground with other leaves and tree limbs to make it look like nobody was there. I drove by the cemetery a week later when I noticed a team of cops with a dog checking out the exact area where this guy had been. I figured at the time that they had either had him leave or relocated him but a few months later when I visited my loved one's remains there, noticed his face and name on a niche nearby. Even more odd was that after looking this guy up online, learned that his folks and older brother were all buried there. I'm not sure if this guy took to abusing substance before or after his immediate family had passed but he definitely longed to be near them. Sad.

Back in the nineties I would walk on the walking trail at the neighborhood park, but I had an alternative walk I would some times take when the weather was nice and the park was packed. It was along a country road, and one day coming to the end of my walk there is a cop along side the road who stops me and says do you walk around here everyday and I said no I walk here maybe once or twice a day. He said okay have you ever seen this guy here and points over the bank where I see two feet sticking up. Later find out it was a guy that worked at my bank and had helped me before, really nice guy. Apparently he was jogging the night before and they think when he started to have chest pain(a heart attack) he had stepped off the road and then died there.
I see things and hear stories like the young man bleeding his heart and soul out to that cop and it just reminds me about how lucky I am because I have the best woman in the entire world!
