- Excellent Roots Reggae band MERGER performing live version of Biko on UK TV's Revolver in 1978. Great dancing from the (mainly punk) Revolver studio audience.
Merger - simple but powerfull message. I went from punk to reggae . Merger was my first reggae album - thanks for posting!
awesome new 1rst hearing of this band!give thank s!!
The first time that i heard this song was around 1982 and now 25 years later i see the video. In that time in Belgium the governement paved the way to allow and legalize private radio stations.. THANK YOU for sharing this video.
Very nice ! Thank you.
2 WORDS: 2 MUCH.
excellent
great clip. thx
EXCELLENT
Thanks for this live, I'll upload the 12" version soon, got it for a very cheap price but had to wait a very long time before finding a copy :)
got this on a 45 / killer
Saw then at Surrey Uni in Guildford around this time. I must have the black and white photos somewhere...
murdeeeeerer!
Bloody hell! Where did you manage to get this from? I have one of their albums from 1977 but I didn't know anything about the group. Thanks to youtube I am finding out more and more about this much underrated band. It's nice to be reminded that people once played live instruments. I wonder where they are now? Thanks
@kalcidis thanks for your answer!! i found it as a 45 rpm, i have to flip it if i want the second part.i would prefer a 12" with the complete song on a-side and the version (i guess it is a killer) on b side.
the lps i know from this band are some of the best militant roots reggae i never heard....check them!their titles are armaggedon time and exiles in babylon...but the song biko doesnt appear on them is it coming from a third unknown album or was it just a 45's??
It would be good to see the original 12 inch come out on CD or mp3 anyone have one?
2 WORD: TOO MUCH
