I appreciate your honest criticism of different brands, watches, watch RUclipsrs. Also I like your watch reviews and your collection reviews. And to be honest, I don't care about the picture quality and technical things like that
Speaking of Invicta, I saw this guy with what looked like a wall clock strapped to his wrist at the petrol pump opposite me & when I asked him what was he wearing, he said Invicta something or other. I’ve heard of Invicta watches, but I didn’t know they make what is possibly the biggest watch on planet earth. It wasnt just huge in diameter, but it was mega thick. I’m no stranger to big watches. I have a Breitling Super Avenger at 48mm x 17mm which but that’s only because I have quite large wrists. I still can’t quite get over how massive that Invicta was. I think if he lost the filler cap for his petrol tank he could’ve used his watch in its place.
I love the Breiling Navitimer. I have one and I just love it. The aviation slide rule bezel comes in handy. I like to use it for calculating average speed. Plus it has a tachymeter scale and proper 3 subdial chronograph layout like the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Unlike the Moonwatch it has a date window at the 4:30 position which also comes in handy. I like the contrasting colors of the subdials and outer scale of the slide rule bezel. It's a busy dial but that's because it can do so much if you know how to use it which adds to the enjoyment of the watch.
I agree. However, we are in a world of hundreds of chronographs, with much history behind them. And so it is, that I feel, the perfect chrono is the Heuer Autavia. An example is the Jack Heuer Anniversary remake. Simply timeless. What say you?
Agree with the speedy choice. For me I also want to collect for timelessness. So far I only have time only watches. E.g. Rolex 39mm black dial OP and GS 37mm manual wind silver dial. I'm seriously considering a moonwatch. I'm also not super excited about NASA association but more on the unbroken lineage of design since 60s which contributes to the timelessness design. Not many current production watches do that (not talking about reissues). It is also one of the very few watches that have more complications without looking complicated. It is not hard to design time only watch to be simple and elegant but for chrono, only moonwatch and iwc Portuguese fit the bill without spending patek money. I also start to think that any collection should be timeless but not boring. Even as a keeper, OP 39 can be a bit boring sometimes to be honest. Moonwatch can be that timeless but not boring watch.
Yeah, I see what you mean about the boring issue. Too much, "what I like is..." Maybe get Jenni Elle on as a guest. She has to know intuitively that, what she personally likes in men's watches is tangential.
The only thing I'd change is that you should upload your videos at least in 1080p, maybe even 4k, wich is pretty much the standard for most bigger channels now. I'd also love to see more close ups of the watches you are talking about, showing us more of their details, the finishing and such.
@@JustBlueFish Oh, I didn't knew that. Still nice work tho. Only thing I'm missing are those crazy close ups shots a few other big watch channels have, to judge the finishing a little bit better. But you offer the most in depth details otherwise
@@JustBlueFish That would be amazing, your content could greatly benefit from that. Btw, what do you think is the best finished watch around 500-1000$?
Man you have absolutely nailed the ultimate watch collection! I already have two of them, so if I buy the Hamilton I will finally be at peace...or not?
I own a GMT master ll 116710LN and a aTudor BB Black so l have no interest in the the Submariner. However l love the Speedy more and more and started looking at The khaki field as well.
Hi Derek, what do you think of the BB GMT (Pepsi)? I need a watch for travel and decided this is my grail. One year wait though, waiting time not getting any shorter. Is it worth it, in your opinion?
@@derekshearer9049 Thank you for the positive reinforcement! Nothing stokes motivation more than being told that you cannot have something. Wait I will! Cheers!
OK dude let's get you sorted. You are not boring, and you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. How someone looks or appears on video is irrelevant, example if we were to turn you upside down on screen you would aquire an instant head of hair. Did you find that funny? , and no neither do I. Your channel speaks for itself with 30 000 subscribers. People watch your great channel for other points of view, and to help form there own opinion. Keep up the good work Sir 👍 Tam.
You can also try talking with more energy, Im just saying this since seems you want to improve the channel, to be honest I always watch your videos at least with 1.25 speed or 1.5 speed, you talk so slow and low energy Also no disrespect, appreciate the content
I like the approach. SO many channels artificially amp up the energy and it comes off as fake. Don't change Fish. People can easily speed you up if they want.
@@celworthy Whether you like it or don't, it doesn't matter. The point is this guy's channel has failed to grow like other watch channels probably due to the lack of energy he has. Teddy Baldassarre has been making videos for 2 years and has grown to 180k subs. This channel has been around for 3 years and has 1/6th the sub counts. In my opinion his channel hasn't grown because this guy has has no energy.

For what it’s worth, I’ve never found your videos boring. You are thorough and thoughtful. Congrats on the equipment upgrade. It looks great.
Thanks buddy!
The Explorer 1 is my favorite dial. I Always enjoy your vids! Keep up the good work.
Thanks I appreciate that.
I totally agree. It's simple but timeless.Easy to read and the design suits all accations
I was just thinking about the Explorer. Simple, excellent legibility, classic design.
Stephen S2R yes. As close to perfect as you can get.
David Richter yes! I’d love to add a 1016 someday. Classic!

Gotta at the Sinn 556 to your picks. I LOVE "boring" dials!
This is getting a real premium YT channel. Great job, Guy. 🙏🏻
Great. I like that you almost never interrupt each other, unlike some other (high pitch "rolex") streams. subbing to watch talk live
Awesome thanks for subbing.
Congratulations for the 30K Guy, keep up the good work 👍
Thanks!

Seiko’s Marine Master dial always does it for me..

Good choice Guy. To me the most perfect dial is on the Explorer.

About the speedmaster, i would go for the original, the 1954 Rodania geometer.
Never seen that one.

All of my videos, except live-streams are 1080p. Live-streams are in 720 because of a limitation of the platform.

Notice how all three have a black face. I'm also drawn to watches with a black face. They go with anything, both dress and straps.
Ya I prefer black dials they’re the most versatile option.
Buy a rolly to impress others, buy a Seiko to impress yourself. God I h8 that phukn line. :D

Explorer 1
Ya the Explorer, especially the 36mm, has a great dial.
I believe that the Speedmaster is aesthetically the most perfect watch in the world.

A “metric sh*t ton” of money is quite a bit. Hopefully you still have enough for groceries.
I can still eat, but I won’t be getting a new watch this year, I could have bought a Rolex with how much I spent on new equipment for the channel.
