What amazes me is that people actually called this fake news. There has been children on the news that have died from dry drowning, which is exactly what that is. I’m glad you don’t listen to that nonsense and continue to educate us all! ❤
My rescue almost died today from gulping water, then vomiting. He's very sick and abused from the previous owner. Can't even breath from his nose. MBD, anorexia, possible Coccidia, dehydration, some claws ripped out, never fed veggies. Enclosure wasn't cleaned for years.

This literally happened to my sons beardie 2 days ago .and my son definitely picked him up while he was drinking because he thought he was drinling too much. about 5 minutes after his bath my son came running saying his beardie had fallen over in the tank and wasnt breathing . He was bloated and his beard was jet black. He was probably completely dead for over 5 minutes. Scared me to death . I literally did dragon cpr for 2 hours followed by heat therapy and now he's alive. Still acting pretty weird and lethargic. Big lesson learned . I hope the little guy makes it. We have grown to love him so much. Any tips to get him feeling better ?- update about a month later. Little guy is still alive and getting huge.

i had seen your short on this a few weeks ago and i have given her a few prior but right after watching that vid her next bath she started to drink a lot of water and i knew to leave her alone so you probably saved her life cuz i may have moved her or something so ty for that

As allways you provide the most important info and without your videos the 3 seniors that got left behind at me when their owner found a place to live (finally😂) would be dead by now.
But instead the 2 that are left got a decent retirehome to enjoy their last years ( they are supposed to be about 10) . They had been pretty badly neglected in their youth and when they were left at me they lived 3 beardies in a terrarium that was the size for max 1 🤦😥
So even though I was pretty scared of lizards ( no problem with snakes🤷♂️for some reason) they just stole my heart and now owns me to do what they want with 🤦
But again thank you!! Because without youre videos they wouldnt had stand a chance to survive with the knowledge i had before.

I had a neighbor who bred his bearded dragons. He only had a single breeding pair so no inbreeding happened. Almost every room of his house was lined wall to wall and floor to ceiling with the scaly creatures. Every batch of babies got their own tank and were later divided by gender. I think males would eventually get their own tank when they started getting older. I don’t remember the details since this was over half my lifetime ago

My little 7 month bearded dragon hates baths and whenever he’s in it he just goes crazy trying to get out. But my 15 month old bearded dragon loves baths and whenever he’s it it he swims around in circles and dunks his head under the water and he scratches the back part of his head with his back feet for some reason, not really sure why. Also I give him a bath in our bathroom sink. But he’s nice and calm while the little just goes crazy all the time wherever he is. And my older dragon just came out of brumation so he’s been a little crazy but I think he’s going back in it so it’s a little sad for me but it’s ok I still love them! Also if you want I’ll tell you there names on your next video. Cya next vid!

Thank you for sharing this important information. This can also happen in humans, particularly young children or frail elderly. They can develop aspiration pneumonia. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Thank you for making this video. I wish this information was more prevalent about 7 years ago before I got my dragon. I would get so worried about how long she had her face in the water and would pick her up while drinking, which I know now NOT to do. She's okay, just woke up from her brumation, and now I let her drink to her heart's content with supervision.

My bearded dragon died last night 😭 I was force feeding her via syringe for the 4th time in months because she wasn't well, I checked her fecal for parasites but nothing, she at first was swallowing like usual and then she stopped I put her down because she was stressed, she ran off and then went limp a small seizure on the floor I picked her up and her whole body was limp, eyes shut she looked dead I panicked I tilted her forward like a teapot because I noticed she was foaming the food from her mouth, some of the liquid came out but alot I know was still in because she couldn't breathe, i tried cpr and small chest compressions with my finger it helped her alot but she was struggling to expell the food 😔
Her beard was black an she tried so hard to displace it but couldn't.
I tried everything to help her it was heart breaking, this is exactly the same thing your describing in the video, I wish I took her to the vet as soon as I noticed things going down hill but I can't take that back now, please make a video how important it is not to force feed syringe your dragon I see so many video saying its okay without the severe warnings,I'm absolutely devastated.
im so sorry for this. It can be safe to do but has to always be done correctly and isnt taught everywhere sadly

Quick question do you need to use anything to clean the water like what you have to do for their water bowl or no because I watched someone and they said you needed to conditioner their water for their water bowl so do we need to do that for the bath 2
I have an adult beardy that over hydrates during every bath and throws up. What should I do to make sure she is properly hydrated ? I’ve even tried using an eye dropper very slowly, don’t idk her up and she still will throw up . Ideas?

What is the absolute longest lifespan of a bearded dragon in captivity? I'm really interested in getting one as I'm quite a lonely person and I would love to have a bearded dragon.
I'm not good with pet deaths... when my cat died I became really depressed and I swore that I wouldn't get another animal because it broke my heart...but I'm starting to contemplate giving love to a pet and I would like to have one with a long lifespan... something I can give love and care to for the long term.
I wanted to reassure that this isn't something that is consider on a whim...and of course I would have everything ready before I ever adopted one. Food, enclosure and most importantly the proper knowledge to allow my dragon to thrive.
Get a tortoise. It will outlast you.

Can you say any more about damaging the nose valves? One of our beardies finally shed his nose holes after a hard summer, but it didn't come out all the way when we were assisting taking it out. I'm a bit worried because it had a lot of gunk in it (long story, reptisoil bad). Is there any way to flush out nose holes or determine if their valve is damaged? Thank you!!

so basically when my beardie drinks from water, wait a minute or two until they breathe a couple of times then let them come up my arm/carefully pick them up correct?
I have a bearded dragon and I was giving it a bath and then it put its whole body and head underwater and stopped moving so i rushed over to get him out then ge wasn’t breathing or opening his eyes for about 4 minutes someone tell me what happend
One of my beardies came out of brumation and has eaten a couple meals but has not pooped. It’s been 4-5 days. I’ve given her baths and put her on a warm surface. Hasn’t helped. When I feel under, near her vent there is a very hard something. Not sure if that is a bone or impacted feces.
Bring her to a vet if you’re not comfortable. Using a qtip with a tiny bit of vaseline, very very gently try to feel for the impactment and see if it’s at the opening or further up, requiring vet care. Usually a warm bath will loosen it up. A tiny little bit of Betadine solution in the water helps to prevent infections, too.

I fed my dragon, after she woke up from brumation. I know I suppose to wait two days, but she look so hungry. She ate giant dubia and normal dubia. Then tried to go back to bed! I am trying to keep her awake. Do I need to wait for next poo, before she can bromate again?
Every dragon does it differently. Mine wakes up for a couple of days, eats a tiny bit, poops maybe and goes back to sleep and repeats this every few weeks. I think it's mainly dangerous if they are the type that sleeps for months or extended times before waking and the food rots. Just depends on how they are. If they want to sleep I wouldn't interfere personally if this is how they brumate IMO. Maybe try a bath and get a poo out first.

Lesson learned never give a bearded dragon a bubble bath or else they will die immediately.
