I love the console itself. It has been such an improvement over the PS4 and I even prefer to play here over my 4070/5600X PC as it gives me less headaches over performance issues. My only gripe with this gen so far is how little next gen feels in terms of first party games, and how dire the future seems with the GaaS focus and now new single player announcements since the 2021 showcase.

I still remember seeing my dad get one and being so excited, then the next day, My little brother got one and it was just so amazing to me, I unboxed it with him and he was very excited and I was just in shock, I couldn't stop talking about it on the ride home to my wife, 2 days later she had woke me up on my day off where I usually sleep in and had placed the ps5, controller skins, and controller dock on the bed and I was SO HAPPY. It's been an amazing experience and I'm excited for it to only get better!
I love my PS5. Returnal is easily my favourite PS5 game so far. I love how they utilised the Duel Sense controller and the fast paced gameplay. Such a Masterpiece ❤️
I was lucky enough to be able to get one from Amazon a few weeks after it launched (picked it up the beginning of December), but life got in the way and I didn't really have the time for gaming in general like I used to have. Things have settled down recently and I've also changed my setup around - picked up a nice 4K gaming monitor and moved the console from our finished basement to my home office, which is where I spend the majority of my time - and this combination has allowed me to start having a lot more time to spend with the Playstation. Really enjoying my time with it, and I'm looking forward to tackling my huge backlog of games that have built up! Oh, and I watched to the end - PS5!
I’ve had my ps5 from the very beginning of it’s launch, and I’ve never had a bit of problems out of it, and it’s still playing like the first day I got it at launch, and I would trade it for nothing, best investment I made. I just bought the camouflage covers for it.
Yesterday, I finally picked up my Ps5 Disc version from Costco. I now have all 3 of the "next gen" consoles, a scarlet/violet Switch OLED, an Xbox Series X, and finally, a PS5. im blessed, and thankful for this video
Improvements NEEDED! 1. Gamelists/Folders - Remove the '100' limit per gamelist, allow us to manually sort games, remove the 'PlayStation Hits' banner, move to Home Screen, and reintroduce the ability to scroll through the collection using the L2 and R2 buttons like PS4 2. Local controller support needs to Increase from 4 to 8 players. PS3 had 7. And the big one 3. Backwards Compatibility. I want to play my digital PS3 library on PS5.
I have the launch edition and no issues at all. It is well ventilated and has a dedicated small fan next to it. Plus, it also has a fan cooling system plugged at the back via USB. But still, I clean the inside once a year.
Everyone has this fallacy for some reason until they actually experience the difference for themselves 👌 just take you're Playstation to you're mates house who has a standard flat-screen after playing call of duty for a week 😂 now I just need more titles that run at 120 fps as there's only 10 of them literally.
I was playing mine originally on a 77" LG CX, and it was definitely an experience. That set is in our entertainment center in our finished basement though, and for convenience I recently picked up a 32 Samsung Odyssey Neo G 4K gaming monitor and moved the console to my home office, and this thing is incredible as well. Because it is pushing the same number of pixels within a smaller chassis, it's actually sharper than the LG was, and although I do long for the OLED on occasion, the screen on this isn't far behind. I don't really find myself missing the LG all that much (although I do miss the Dolby Atmos speaker setup in the basement!).
Im loving my ps5, but one small QOL update that id love is that currently we are only able to pin 5 games to the home screen with the "keep in home" toggle, i hope one day they let us pin atleast 10 games
Got my PS5💙 Oct. 3rd this year as a bundle with FC24. On my days off I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it along side Spider-Man Miles Morales and Call of Duty. Great console.
I’ve only had mine for 4 months and I still can’t believe I own one now as I had to wait and save up. Being a father of two and still a big kid myself when it comes to PlayStation because I grew up with it since day one of the ps1. The games I’ve played so far been great and you do genuinely feel every weapon and touch of grass in the palm of your hands on the duelsense.
I recently got my ps5 about 2 months ago and it’s been amazing having it. I want to invest in a new SSD and skin covers but it’s still crazy that it’s been 3 years and the price is still a little over $500.
I'm surprised myself that my ps5 survived that long, covered in dust alongside my PC😂 but I think it's good it proves that this machine is much better than PS4 in built quality
Would love one. Been a Sony kid since the original PlayStation. Unfortunately being disabled and life issues haven’t been able to keep any old consoles or get a new one. Things are stable now but almost the whole check goes to bills and food but slowly saving. Have $100 so far towards it, probably be saved up by the time a PlayStation 5 Pro or PlayStation 6 is announced 😅
The PS5 is one of my favorite video game consoles of all time, been gaming on console since the N64, yet the PS5 feels like the absolute perfect console, the dualsense, games, fun factor all are incredible , Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2 and Horizon Forbidden West are my favorite games 👏👏👏😊

Stayed to the end. PS5 I’m happy with mine. A year and a half in, don’t play as much as I’d like but slowly getting there. From my NES I got in about ‘87, to my PlayStation I got about a decade later, I thought that was a massive shift. PS2 was my first and last console I bought, until the 5. From 2 to 5, now THAT’S a massive shift! Love it. The graphics and feedback in the controller are awesome. PSVR is next and that looks mind blowing as well.
I've had my PS5 💙since December 10th of last year, and I really enjoy the games I've played on it. I'm excited to see what the PS5 will offer in the future.

Forget folders and other niceties for the time being... most of us gamers would STILL like simple 60fps update patches for their PS4 games.. Examples are Bloodborne, Detroit, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Fallout 4, Just Cause 3 & 4, most of the Lego games, Mad Max (great game btw!), Mafia trilogy, many Need for Speed titles, Styx, The Last Guardian, many Yakuza titles, Sleeping Dogs, the 3 Dishonoured games, L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption II, even Driveclub FFS.. (I'm sure i'm forgetting a few more..) 3 things pi$$ me off: -1) is that on XBOX many of these have had simple patches and updates, 2) some hackers have made patches that work on jailbroken PS4's and PS5's that fix some of these and 3)that Sony seemingly don't give a 💩 The fact that hackers make simple patches just shows how easy this is to do - Sony should make the developers patch them or make simple patches themselves. I love the PS5, I really do but this is mainly why I rate it a 9/10 rather than a full 10... and it's such an easy win / fix!! I'm so used to decent 60fps frame rates that 30 feels awful now.. I mean Driveclub still visually looks fantastic, I've seen videos on YT of the hackers patched version and it looks brilliant!
The only reason I originally wanted a ps5 was because Spider-Man 2 was ps5 only and since then I’ve ended up buying over 150 games since getting it last year 😂

Ordered my ps5 today and im really happy. I feel nostalgic because of my first ps4 that was helping me for about 7 years now, i wish that I could keep it. If i cant, then i would love to spend my final moments with it. I dont know or care if its weird to miss ur items 😅 but i dont mind. Ive owned mine since Dec 2021 but I often finding it collecting dust compared to my Xbox. Main reason are the game prices. Xbox has way more discounted digital titles making it more desireable. Hopefully apart from Insomniac games, there will be more reasons for me to enjoy this console. At the moment it just feels like a PS4.5 but It has potential.

Silly question but the psvr2 do u even need to turn on the tv if you’re just playing solo without anyone else in the room that want to watch? Because I think it would be great if I just bring the ps5 console + vr2 into a big dedicated empty room without a tv for vr2 gaming lol since my tv gaming area is too small for vr2 and don’t want to spend unnecessary money on another tv if solo vr2 gaming doesn’t need tv.
No webbrowser!? Daym. I took that for granted. Had I knew when chose between Sony or Xbox the choice would have been easier. I would have been pretty disappointed if I had went with PS5 and noticed it after since I used the browser on my PS4 a lot already. Yeah. I use my Series X for everything. Gaming, surfing the web, Netflix, RUclips etc. It's finally a really good media hub all in all device. I rarely us anything else now. 🙂
Web browser is the one thing i want. I used to steam movies on my TV from the ps4 browser. I imagine they're not enabling it because the want to avoid acts to gamepass

I have 2 1440p monitors. So when I bought my ps5 in 2020 it was a pain in the ass to really use my ps5 over my gaming laptop. Back then somehow Sony decided to not support 1440p and 120hz. Now a days I love my ps5. Playing 1440p (4K supersampled for games that don't have 1440p natively supported) on 120hz (higher refresh rate only for some games..)
Got mine last week and HOLY COW going from One S and PS4 Slim to this is mental. Graphics are just next level vs the PS4, its just quick and snappy and looks fantastic. Imported all my PS4 games over and its brilliant.
I got mine also just recently and as well coming from PS4 Slim [but mainly i use PC] . Some games [rdr 2 for example] don't have performance mode and bricked my savefile for some odd reason, i'll keep the ps4 slim and keep it running just for "ps4 games", but IF some of my games has "Performance upgrade" for PS5, i'm gonna install it on ps5.
It took me 2 years of time to get it. Even in india this is the first time i saw craze for gaming consol. Selling stocks in 30 sec. Or a minut. It's a great experience specially ps4 games that have been beefedup on ps5 version.

Another option is to use a cheap 4 TB external drive and have some games stored on that and transfer over when needed

3 things pi$$ me off: -1) is that on XBOX many of these have had simple patches and updates, 2) some hackers have made patches that work on jailbroken PS4's and PS5's that fix some of these and 3)that Sony seemingly don't give a 💩 The fact that hackers make simple patches just shows how easy this is to do - Sony should make the developers patch them or make simple patches themselves. I love the PS5, I really do but this is mainly why I rate it a 9/10 rather than a full 10... and it's such an easy win / fix!!
I'm so used to decent 60fps frame rates that 30 feels awful now.. I mean Driveclub still visually looks fantastic, I've seen videos on YT of the hackers patched version and it looks brilliant!
The only reason I originally wanted a ps5 was because Spider-Man 2 was ps5 only and since then I’ve ended up buying over 150 games since getting it last year 😂

Just got ps5 in September and the vr loving them, me and Mrs play GT7 nearly everyday.

Ordered my ps5 today and im really happy. I feel nostalgic because of my first ps4 that was helping me for about 7 years now, i wish that I could keep it. If i cant, then i would love to spend my final moments with it. I dont know or care if its weird to miss ur items 😅 but i dont mind. If you plan on getting one sometime later and u have an old console. Then i recommend u appreciate how much it was you for. Thats just me tho! If you’re seeing this I hope u have a good day

Ive owned mine since Dec 2021 but I often finding it collecting dust compared to my Xbox. Main reason are the game prices. Xbox has way more discounted digital titles making it more desireable. Hopefully apart from Insomniac games, there will be more reasons for me to enjoy this console. At the moment it just feels like a PS4.5 but It has potential.

Silly question but the psvr2 do u even need to turn on the tv if you’re just playing solo without anyone else in the room that want to watch? Because I think it would be great if I just bring the ps5 console + vr2 into a big dedicated empty room without a tv for vr2 gaming lol since my tv gaming area is too small for vr2 and don’t want to spend unnecessary money on another tv if solo vr2 gaming doesn’t need tv.
Literally one of my favourite consoles ever. Being able to play PS4 games at a higher framerate is fantastic and the PS5 library is building as well.
No webbrowser!? Daym. I took that for granted. Had I knew when chose between Sony or Xbox the choice would have been easier. I would have been pretty disappointed if I had went with PS5 and noticed it after since I used the browser on my PS4 a lot already.
Yeah. I use my Series X for everything. Gaming, surfing the web, Netflix, RUclips etc. It's finally a really good media hub all in all device. I rarely us anything else now. 🙂

I have 2 1440p monitors. So when I bought my ps5 in 2020 it was a pain in the ass to really use my ps5 over my gaming laptop. Back then somehow Sony decided to not support 1440p and 120hz. Now a days I love my ps5. Playing 1440p (4K supersampled for games that don't have 1440p natively supported) on 120hz (higher refresh rate only for some games..)
Got mine last week and HOLY COW going from One S and PS4 Slim to this is mental. Graphics are just next level vs the PS4, its just quick and snappy and looks fantastic. Imported all my PS4 games over and its brilliant.
I got mine also just recently and as well coming from PS4 Slim [but mainly i use PC] . Some games [rdr 2 for example] don't have performance mode and bricked my savefile for some odd reason, i'll keep the ps4 slim and keep it running just for "ps4 games", but IF some of my games has "Performance upgrade" for PS5, i'm gonna install it on ps5.
I'm excited I've waited a long time to get a PS5. I'm just about ready to get one. I would hold out for pro but I don't want to wait until next year
It took me 2 years of time to get it. Even in india this is the first time i saw craze for gaming consol. Selling stocks in 30 sec. Or a minut. It's a great experience specially ps4 games that have been beefedup on ps5 version.
with project q they should do something like what they have done with psvr 2 and have usb c to ps5 so there isnt any lag as its wired
