This is pretty much how dogs became domesticated. The friendlier wolves gained the attention of humans, who fed them scraps from their meals. A few generations go on, and boom, dogs

    • @Dice-Z

I doubt it's just a "few" generations, but yeah. People freak out when some try to tame wild animals, but we wouldn't even have pets if it weren't for them.

We gave them food, they alerted us to danger. Basically. Nice (submissive) dogs (wolves) were kept around, while the bad dogs weren't.
Yeah, dogs are just domesticated wolves which were bred for extremely specific reasons, thus shaping them immensely from their natural form.

Arctic wolves are incredibly affectionate. We rescued one found with her mother passed away in a ditch. Gracy was the only puppy who survived. 14 years later and she's still going strong. They will always however; have that wild instinct. She doesn't tolerate the presence of other animals for long, but shes as loyal as they come.

That 16 year old was tortured by the US in Guantanamo Bay, that is why they payed him money. These guys are curious. Not friendly. Curious. People seem to be equating it to a dog running up to ya because he wants your attention and a belly rub. They don’t want that. They just want to investigate. Animals like this who get too cozy with humans die. Please do not ever let a wild animal be happy he’s near you. If you’re unsure why, google why do we kill friendly bears. Then see just how many we’ve killed because people wanted to give them some food and snap a selfie.

That is not true. Wolves and the domestic dog share a common ancestor that no longer exists but the domestic dog was not derived from the modern wolf.

Someone's been feeding them and earned their trust. Also, I read that if a wolf sniffs you there just like how a dog sniffs your butt, it means friendliness.

Christie Frostfur technically, they are checking you're gender for... well uhm, natural reason. And other reasons too. Now, if wolves lived with people and were more intelligent, there would be no gender confusion or any of that stuff XD.

Christie Frostfur actually u should never feed a wolf. They're gonna keep coming back until when u don't have any more food, which will lead them to be hostile and stuff

They probably aren't going to bite, they are just curious, you might even get lucky and pet one, there is no sign of aggression here, of course you can't just assume they won't get defensive about anything, but their showing signs of friendliness and curiousity this is all a good sign.

    • @brittanyritenour4695

Smacking a wolf with a stick though will make them aggressive and learn people to be aggression to people.

In Russia (my country) they are bit bigger(i mean on look), but they aren`t polite at all (except when ppl show them that they're the "BOSS" at very long time), sometimes they're comeing even into towns or cities to get "easy food" but usually ppl disableing them...
