  • In this video I complete the crossing from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini, Bahamas. First I stop by the wreck of the Sapona, clear customs, get docked, and explore the island for the evening! The next morning I return home but first have to dodge storms, heavier seas, and show you how to clear US customs on the way back in.

I’m amazed at your knowledge in dealing with the different governments and the technology to converse with them. Cool trip. Wish you had had more time to explore the wrecked ship.

Thanks you! Yes me too, I had all my snorkel gear ready to go until I saw the waterspout in the distance with thunder and lightning. I got out of there pretty quick!

Congratulations, Chris. Another successful long-distance run to an interesting destination, no doubt after some thoughtful, thorough planning. I'm impressed by that low fuel burn and large remaining fuel quantity. How many gallons does your GW carry?

Thank you Jack! Yes, I was extremely pleased with the fuel burn. I think part of it is the motor now being broken in and doing this trip a little slower. Tank holds 82 gallons so plenty of reserve for a trip like this
