Actually refreshing to find a boating/fishing channel where the hosts don't have to resort cheesy bikini shots to gain "Likes". Keep up the great videos.
Totally agree, these women have knowledge and talent so they don’t need to resort to cheap click bait thirst traps. I recommended my friend let his 8year old daughter watch these two, she loves boating and already takes turns at the wheel if his 50’ sea ray. Keep up the great work ladies!
Great information. You two should compare this trip to doing 5 days in the Keys. Trailering the boat down from say north/central Fl, food, gas, gear, room, boat slip. Also what are the major differences from Bahamas vs The Keys when it comes to water quality, fishing, diving? 🤙
Rent a house on South Bimini and have your boat right at the backdoor. No slip charges. Way cheaper and nicer house. The neighborhood is called Port Royal .
My 1st trip to Bimini was in 1999. All I needed was my birth certificate. I had just turned 21. I fished the Florida Sportsman Magazine tournament. Stayed at the Big Game Club. 6 days 5 nights aboard a 36 Luhrs. I paid total of $300 for the whole trip. I can place that trip in the top 3 good times of my life.
Wow what a shitty comment. Maybe he watches the channel because he finds knowledge and learns from these 2 young ladies. They are well mannered and very appropriate ladies. I highly doubt he’s watching because he is creepy.
@@patrickkimbrell8873 These are women. I'm a South Florida Native. I fish weekly. I watch lots of fishing channels. Wtf is your problem?? You look 50. Why are you watching these videos. Watch your mouth.
Yeah, prices have definitely got pretty insane....that is largely due to the skyrocketing real estate market in the Bahamas and gas prices having tripled since then. I grew up in the 90's in Miami and I vividly remember my Dad and his friends would make weekend runs out to Bimini every so often. By no means were any of them affluent; split up between a couple friends in those days was very reasonable. Making the run out to Bimini was actually easier and cheaper in those days than the hassle of a trip trailering the boat down to the keys.
Sticker shock yes! However I think/hope many will agree with me that this past year has taught us to take advantage of the time you have on this big beautiful world. I appreciate the transparency as well; you're running a business through this channel other social platforms and your merch sales. Live it up ladies you've earned it!!!
Now I remember why I ditched the 52' Azimut long ago and went with the 13 meter trimaran. :) Fuel is less. Mooring is cheaper than a slip. Stay aboard on both, so no golf cart or lodging needed. Watermaker takes care of the water issue as well. My guess is that living aboard my trimaran for a week would be about $4k less ($500 per person per day), but I'm pretty sure I've rarely averaged $500/day on any particular stay sailing. The Azimut had two 750 hp diesels, so she was always going to be a pig on fuel.
Thanks for the comprehensive recap of the costs associated with your trip. Your videos there were fun to watch and were very informative. You ladies work very hard and I, for one, believe that life is meant to be lived, not watched. I appreciate the both of you and am addicted to your well-done videos. Btw, I love my new rod...can't wait for better weather to try it out! Thanks again.
Kudos for providing all expenses. Not everyone is so willing to be this open with costs. You had a good time, so it's money well spent. It's the cost of adventure! Life, at least for me, would be boring without adventure. Please note adventure comes in many forms. Get in the game, live life!
I absolutely love watching Emily and Amanda’s channel. I’m currently studying for my OUPV and they keep me motivated when I get overwhelmed. Thank you ladies!! Best channel on the RUclips’s!!
The positive of shopping local although expensive is you’re supporting the local economy. Same with tipping. The Bahamian economy has been trashed with the pandemic…. No conch fritters? How can you go to Bimini without eating conch fritters? Impossible…. Looks like a great trip. Thanks for the info.
THE HARRASSMENT FOR TIPS IS DISGUSTING. IM A HUGE TIPPER BUT OH MY GOD. THE MINUTE YOU STEP FOOT ON THE ISLAND THEY ALL COME OUT FROM UNDER ROCKS FOR TIPS. AND WHATS WORST IS THEY DEMAND IT!!!
WoW!! The GF and I spent two months this summer fishing the Crooked Island/Acklins Island area. We didn't spend anywhere near that. We home base off our 40' sailboat and fish our Old Town kayaks. We are flats fishermen for the most part. We fish all up and down the Caribbean. We are in Aruba right now and heading for the Yucatan next week.
Hey gurls, Got a few comments concerning on your pricing. I think to be fair to Bimini, the pricing should’ve been separate since consolidating it makes it seem as though it’s more expensive than it really is to visit BIMINI. Close to 90% of the total cost was incurred before you left Florida. Although, I would admit compared to the Florida groceries are fairly expensive. 1. Your COVID test would’ve been free at Walgreens, both PCR and Atigen. 2. The fuel bill would’ve been the same whether it was 1 person or 10 person as the distance is the same. Calculations could be made for the difference body weight would’ve added, but the difference fuel cost would’ve been negligible. 3. There are a number of grocery stores on Bimini. Though the prices wouldn’t have been much different between them the variety would vary. Plus there are the equivalent to farmers markets of folks selling fresh fruit and vegetables. 4. Next time, inquire about caterers that can cook you real Bahamian dishes. At least one evening dinner. The prices aren’t expensive and you’ll get the real Bahamian experience. 5. I was insulted (not 😂) that you brought over frozen pizza… Are you kidding me? Bimini has some great pizza makers that I’m sure you’d be impressed. All in all I’m glad that you and your sister enjoyed your trip. Hope you visit again soon and next time ask around with the locals. Try the Bimini pastries and other food varieties that Bimini has to offer. Oh and PS: It would’ve been cheaper to catch the fast ferry over and chartering one of the locals to take you on all those adventure places you been. I approximate you could’ve cut at least 80% of the total you spent.
LOOKS LIKE YOUR INSULTED THAT THE "GURLS" DIDNT RELY ON ANY LOCALS FOR ANYTHING. iVE BEEN TO BIMINI PLENTY OF TIMES ALSO NASSAU. THE HARRASSMENT FOR TIPS FOR ANYTHING THEY DO IMAGINE IF YOU USED ANY OF THEIR SERVICES. THIS PRICE I BELIEVE WOULDVE BEEN DOUBLED. IM A HUGE TIPPER AND I TAKE PRIDE IN IT. BUT ITS A SHAME THAT THE MOMENT YOU STEP FOOT ON THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND, THE LOCALS CHARGE AT YOU FOR CASH. THE GIRLS DID TYHE RIGHT THING. PERFECT PLANNING. THEY DID EVERYTHING ON THEIR OWN AND HAD AN AWESOME TIME. GALE FORCE TWINS ROCKS!!
You could just come to the keys and fish from the bridges for alot less and have an excellent time... For a week and a half, I spent $250 in gas to get here ( from PGH, pa), $650 for beer, food, bait and smokes... $185 gas while here- but just filled up today which will last 4 days... Includes fishing lic renewal- $55 out of state and lobster permit.. doesn't include lodging... Because that can vary soooo much, it's up to you on how you stay.... this is for one person... I may reply an update after a month here..
Thanks for breaking it down. I am sure alot of followers that might take their boat across will plan better with this info. Life is not cheap and boating...but its so worth it!

Great information. Thanks so much for sharing. A lot of big you tubers don't share costs but it was very much appreciated. Ive really enjoyed watching your videos since finding your channel about a month ago. Keep it up!
Honestly the shocker was the price of the slip! I know I get a good deal where I keep my boat but even compared to the expensive places on other bodies of water near me, what you paid for 5 days is 1/2 of a year in a prime location here.

A center console is great for fishing but not for living on. There are some nice 39' boats that accommodate both quite comfortably. The slip did come with water and electricity for 250/night.
I crossed from Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini back in 1968 in a 19’ Aquasport. Move up to a 23’ Formula And would go over to Bimini and back in the same day. I didn’t want to have to buy gas over there cause it was 50 cents a gallon. Times have really changed!
Going to Seward Alaska next summer. Three twelve hour days of fishing and two days for tours will run about 7 thousand. These days just the cost for a weeks adventure.
Great job and nice details on breaking down the trip cost! Also really good job on the “ do’s and don’ts “, and what you would do different. Well done!
the price is kinda of high, considering you can to Mexico on an all inclusive resort including 3 days of fishing for 2 people for $3,400 not including the airfare
Add 2 days to that (70 percent more) plus air fair. Plus taking your own boat is a different experience, $2,200 of that trip was fuel and If you had a boat you could sleep in you save $1575.
Ive spent at $3000 on simple weekend trips to Bimini. Ive decided I can do a lot more for a lot less and havent been back. People also underestimate the crossing. Its usually pretty safe, but things can go bad. So its pricey and has some risk. Overall for me its not worth the squeeze.
I used to go all the time and truthfully if you want an out island experience with more availability and less cost go to the Dry Tortugas. And the fishing/diving is equal to or better!
For this price I Fly from Germany to Mex. Rivera Maya and stay there in a 5 star hotel All inclusive with personal trainer and any zip and zap playing golf and have a 2 days Full day Big Game tripp and so mutch more ... hope you guys have had fun but I never ever would spend this sum for just 5 days!!! But I liked your vids.
Congrats on a successful trip. Like they say there are no uhauls following the casket. Glad you had fun and thanks for sharing! U was wondering if you did anything special regarding boat security in the slip? I’d be leery of waking up and going down to dock to see my 39 gone.
You will never look back and miss that $10k, but you will forever remember this epic trip you took with your favorite sister (🤣😂🤣). Great channel BTW😊👍
Excellent video! For those on a budget and with a boat that has a sleeping area, can you just rent a slip and sleep on your boat? Or, even anchor it someplace. I have heard there are some boat camping grounds over there. Thanks again! You gals are awesome!!!
Ladies good cost break down. Should consider next time to stay at south Bimini there are great homes on water with dock included ~ $200/night. My son and I … 2 nights all included $1,400 bucks. Contender 25’.
$5/gallon for gas is the norm here in California. The astronomical, outrageous cost of 5 days in Bimini confirmed to me that I would never ever do it. You could stay at the Four Seasons in Maui for less.
Rent or charter? Solo renting would probably be near impossible without a huge checkbook and deposit because of the insurance conundrum... especially if you're inexperienced.
I guesstimated $10K for a trip like that. Looks like y'all had a blast so money well spent! As my mother used to say " you're not taking it with you anyway!" 😂
That's a lot of money for a five day trip. We were in the Bahamas for several months on our boat 2015 through 2016 and didn't spend nearly that much. A boat with living quarters can really cut down on the costs, although I imagine fuel costs are about to be insane in the Bahamas.
How many hours was the lobster guide with them? A $1000.00 guide only on your own boat seems outrageous. If the lobster guide is that expensive, I’d hate to see what the lawyer fees are.
I don't think they said they paid a grand for the guide... just that they paid him in cash, and their total cash outlay for the trip was about $1K. Almost $500 of that was for the golf cart, and some of the other was for tips and sundries.
I went there june 2019 pulled my 22ft bayboat from myrtle beach spent 3 days at big game definitely not cheap I'm naturally cheap af but didn't bring as much as you did so pretty much had to eat at every restaurant in the area fuel was around 6 a gallon at the time were concerning another trip this summer and will bring more stuff and will definitely be watching that weather trip there was good the return trip 4 to 5 foot seas not good in a 22ft boat but great information for the first time travelers
Love your Chanel and videos. I have one dumb question for you. Since you do a lot of fishing have you ever thought about buying an ice machine? This can save you money buying ice all the time. I have been to the Bahamas a few times but if I ever do a boat trip I would load up the boat with everything Ibwoukd need. The prices and taxes there are ridiculous and expected because they live off tourism. And yes their coffee is bad.
Yes such a good question and something we've thought about multiple times. We usually refreeze our ice when we are doing day trips and keep it in our bait deep freezer. One day I'm sure we'll get one!
I was shocked to hear y’all had to pay for COVID tests! The Families First Coronavirus Response Act ensures that COVID-19 testing is free to anyone in the U.S., including the uninsured. I love watching your videos!! It’s the only fishing videos I will actually watch with my husband 😂
A pity you didn't have that Regulator you ladies fell in love with earlier in the year. You could have saved the Air-bnb cost and the slip fees. Would have cost a bit more on the entry and cruising fees as well as fuel but it probably would have come out a bit cheaper.
Actually refreshing to find a boating/fishing channel where the hosts don't have to resort cheesy bikini shots to gain "Likes". Keep up the great videos.

$5/gallon for gas is the norm here in California. The astronomical, outrageous cost of 5 days in Bimini confirmed to me that I would never ever do it. You could stay at the Four Seasons in Maui for less.
In some places here in Socal it's over $7 a gallon when filling up at the docks 😢
It’s only because they’re on one of the outer islands💀that’s why it was so much. If you come to the main island it’s much less for everything
@@NoNo-ny4uf The $7 mentioned is on the mainland. At the islands (Catalina, etc) it's much more.
10k for how many days? Think I missed the length of the stay, but know they have been there a while.
They literally said it was for a 5 day trip, multiple times throughout the entire video. *facepalm*
Thanks for the breakdown of cost.
how much would it cost to rent that boat?
Rent or charter? Solo renting would probably be near impossible without a huge checkbook and deposit because of the insurance conundrum... especially if you're inexperienced.
This is such a valuable and informative video. thankyou for sharing.
I guesstimated $10K for a trip like that. Looks like y'all had a blast so money well spent! As my mother used to say " you're not taking it with you anyway!" 😂
You guys are my new addiction
Where did you eat steak? Hilton?
Great video. thanks for the info. very helpful
Can save a lot by finding an Airbnb that includes a slip! Also splitting between people.
Thank you for the realistic breakdown. Keep up the good work !
All great info. But good lord definitely wanna take friends to split up the cost. Thank you for posting the video.
Love how varied your content is. Its all so unique and highly watchable. Love the channel!!!! Keep it real!
Man I love you guys i miss being younger and you ladies are so smart
Can you make a video on the process of returning to FL from the Bahamas?
That’s a great video suggestion! Thank you
About how much did you tip? I feel like I always over or under tip hotel workers/maintenance people
I have traveled all over the Caribbean and the Bahamas have been the most expensive.
Loved your trip to Bimini.
Love these girls. Valuable info for sure
Awesome video, what about the 32' rental cost?
Awesome trip to Bahamas:$10,200.56. Not having to make the payment on the boat you took over:Priceless!🤣
Ladies did bring your boat or rented one?Iam going in jun or jul but might bring it with me.Very Informative thanks for the info.
Wow, that is a scary number! 🤯 awesome video. Thx
Amazingly helpful!!!
Great breakdown ladies. More expensive than I thought. What about the boat rental? How much did that also set you back?
I don't think they had to pay for the boat. I don't even think you can rent a boat to leave the country, but I could be wrong.
What has you thinking they rented a boat?
A pity you didn't have that Regulator you ladies fell in love with earlier in the year. You could have saved the Air-bnb cost and the slip fees. Would have cost a bit more on the entry and cruising fees as well as fuel but it probably would have come out a bit cheaper.
Que bella kona🐶, saludos desde maturin Venezuela ❗
When I go to Bimini on my sailboat I never stay at the marina I anchor but yes the Bahamas is very expensive
Well!! There went my shoe budget!!! I guess taking my Carpe Diem 40' Hatteras will be pretty penny!!
Goodbye shoes!!!🤣
Great video. Good information. One question. Did you use USD? Or did you have to get Bahamian currency??
Was it worth it? Somewhere someone is saving in Illinois to come fish in FL. You guys have it together.
Wow, 10k, you could go to Europe for that for 2 weeks. Cool adventure though :)
