I’m running the same setup as you, and I also put on a XS Big Dot sights for faster acquisition. For me, this setup is perfect. As someone who’s on the shorter side, has a thin build, and works in a professional environment, no other gun setup worked for me. A mouse gun was just silly, and every 9mm I tried either stuck out too far or was too heavy. Sure, if I’m walking around in the winter with a sweatshirt, that’s fine, but 80% of the year I’ll either be in fitted clothing or shorts, so this is the best option for me…. Plus, this is a fun gun to shoot. I have pretty good grip strength and most of the 9mm that are this small are just a beating to shoot. I save the 9mm for a longer barrel for home defense.
My G42 has been upgraded with a Hogue slip-on grip for a better handhold and magazine extensions to cure the "Hanging Pinky" syndrome. A DeSantis Nemesis holster keeps it safe in the pocket. No laser or lights, stock magazines, and box-stock sights, as this will be a UCAP (Up Close And Personal) tool. It operates better than I can with it.
I 💙 my G42’s! Normally I don’t carry the G42 for ccw use, as I prefer the G43 9mm better. However, when I do need ULTRA concealment with comfort, like at the beaches in Hawaii, I’ll carry (legally ccw) my G42. With A tank-top, board shorts and flip-flops, the G42 is perfect! I’ll even carry the G42 when golfing because of its unique size and how it fits in my pockets. Sure there’s smaller .380’s out there, but I don’t trust a single one of them. Glock reliability is second to none. Also, the G42 is more accurate than the LCP-2 I once owned.

I shot both the ruger lcp max 380 and the 42. The 42 was a much better pistol then the lcp max. Ive also heard the glock 48 is coming soon which is double stack 380.

It seems that the 42 is the best pocket carry. Not a pocket rocket but best pocket by far.👍🏼
