It seems like every other day they open a new bank around here. I couldn’t imagine them closing most branches and leaving us with only ATMs. My branch is always full of people too. It would definitely be a hassle and that’s sad. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that so it makes total sense to go prop.

Out of curiosity, do you have a second checking account that you use to auto draft your bills? I love the way you pay your bills!!
No we have 1 checking account. I keep a generous buffer of cash in the attached savings account(both this checking and savings are from the same local bank) plus my starter emergency fund of $1,000. Everything else is in online High Yield Savings Accounts.
