I pay 699 for my Netflix and it has a couple ads not much at all. The only thing is you can’t download it onto an iPad or anything but I’d rather pay seven then almost 20 bucks.
Whoaaa when the fan shut off it was like space freed up in my brain. I didn't even realize how loud it was until it stopped! Love this manual method of budgeting. Very tactile!
I can’t wait to start working on my retirement. I’ve got to finish my credit cards, that’s the goal of 2024, to be debt free… then I’ve got to do some house repairs. After that it’s time for SAVING!!!! 💜
Hey! New Subbie🎉. Great video. I just started my RUclips channel to help hold me accountable and stay organized with our budget. I am loving this community soooo much! ❤ Looking to following along in your budgeting journey. 😊
Hi Lisa. Regina here. Re Netflix… there’s also a SD (standard definition) vs the HD. It’s alot cheaper and again…never noticed a difference. See if that’s an option for you.
They are currently sold out of the physical book. I think they go on sale in October and sell out pretty quickly. Here is the link to the printable version. shop.thebudgetmom.com/collections/workbook/products/budget-by-paycheck-pdf-digital-download-oil-slick-or-summer-blossom
I don't know if it's better for your finances but could you front-load your Roth IRA so that if it's in the market longer and then continue your house savings and maybe the Christmas sinking fund? I haven't done the research so I'm not sure which is the best way.
For 2024, the Roth IRA contribution limits are going up $500. That means you'll be able to stash away up to $7,000 in a Roth IRA in 2024, up from $6,500 in 2023. If you are 50 or older, your maximum contribution limit is capped at $8,000.
Even if you don’t share with us, I hope you are seeing your retirement grow. Great job.
It’s looking good!
Hi Lisa! I loved that you said you were excited to be turning 50! I hope to feel the same when I turn 50. I enjoyed your video!

Remind me again - do you also get a retirement through your employer? Do they match anything?
Yes. 3% match

I’m not sure either. I would think the longer the money is in the account the better.
Just wondering I see you mentioned gas for your car, I didn't see car insurance listed in your expenses was that forgotten?
It’s in her sinking funds
It’s a sinking fund that I just couldn’t fund today. I’m going to use the money that my daughter gives me monthly to fund my sinking funds.
Did You Tube go up? We pay $22.99 for Premium
I switched to the HD 4K plan, which is a complete waste of money, and I will be switching it back right now
Daisy is okay playing with her toy. Just give her a hug😊 kiss for me.
Love hearing the squeaky toy!!
Wow 😮your rent is so cheap. I need to move 🤣🤣
Btw… you get the Roth increase even though you are not 59 yet? Good for you since you’re not 50 until the very end of the year 🎉
