    Thank you for teaching others your style of budgeting. My husband was on board with me to take budgeting seriously he had some worries. But after doing it for a few months he is seeing the benefits. We budget paycheck to paycheck because my husband's income is irregular and mine is salary.

    What do you do if your son needs new shoes or has a spirit week at school and you need supplies or clothes and or you have a birthday party and need a gift? Do you use just your atm card? How do you keep track of those random expenses that may come up?

    Just found your channel and I love your videos! I'm wondering if you could do a video explaining your expense tracking using the cash envelope system. Do you write down what you deposit in your sinking funds? If so, how do you track when you spend those funds out of the envelopes...do you track again?? Can't thank you enough for the detailed videos, they've helped me start my budget journey!!!!

    Do you have a regular savings that you take out before your sinking funds that you take out before you pay bills? You know what people call paying yourself. You do savings last most people do savings first.

  • @Christina2889

    Is there a sinking funds tracker? I bought the most reagent budget by paychex book and printed myself and I don’t see one. But to track each bit you set aside towards the total goal or whatever? Or is that a separate download?

    Love this system! Starting to try to implement it. What do you suggest for large, once a year payments? Like land taxes, home insurance, things like that? Add it as a savings plan in the bank, or as a sinking fund?

    What did you do with the money that was leftover from last periods pay check that you were able to save? Did you put that in your savings for your new home?

  • @sarahhelenpark

    Do you factor your fixed costs for mortgage/rent, 401k, health insurance, etc. somewhere else?

  • @ncatstate

    My Hulu account is $ .99 cent per month. Is your Hulu account a premium account? I see that it is $14 per month. Do you get movies that are still in theaters?

    • @christinarivera5198
      @christinarivera5198 5 лет назад +1

      I think .99 cents was only a special so most people who have the account pay more and if you have multiple viewers you pay about $14.99.

    I’m having trouble and getting confused with the monthly bill tracker bc I have leftover money in my account. I almost feel like I need to put all that in a separate account to just work with my paycheck money but I’m afraid I’ll go over and overdraft.

    • @kati501
      @kati501 5 лет назад

      Hi, so this is where the buffer she talks about comes into play. I have one, and it just sits there to make sure I never overdraft, even though most of my bills are due at the beginning of the month. The buffer (you can use $500 or $1,000 or whatever else works for you) becomes your new "0".
      So let's say you keep $1,000 as your buffer. On the last day of the month, you should plan to get your account down to $1,000 instead of $0. Everything over $1,000 is part of your income.

    I am thinking about implementing this but wonder about how it looks with Debt? Shouldn't we budget the debt payments before doing envelopes and savings?

    question. if i haven't spent the money on the envelope from my first paycheck, what do i do to it? is it ok if i dont touch it from that envelope

    • @stephaniejane306
      @stephaniejane306 5 лет назад

      Yes if you have leftover money in your cash envelopes then just leave it there if you know you will eventually spend it. If you aren't touching it for like 3 months and it's a big amount then consider moving it to savings or debt.
