The nuke would have to be dropped in a chamber of the volcano, but before that it would have to withstand all of the pressure inside of the volcano. To make the nuke actually explode inside of the chamber would probably be hard.

The Tsar bomb was so powerful it shattered windows almost 600 miles away, and even though it was detonated 13,000 feet above the surface it still caused a 5.25 seismic event, at 50 times more powerful than the bomb you mention here, are you seriously telling me that wouldn't have at least a worrying chance of setting off Yellowstone?
they couldnt deliver it over the target. and ground penetrating bombs go no more than 30 feet deep. the magma chamber's top is 12 miles deep

I think the parallels you drew between hawaii and Yellowstone is a false equivalence. The Hawaiian is a shield volcano with low pressure, while Yellowstone has a massive magma chamber and an eruption would create a massive explosive force. A sizeable explosion in the caldera may be enough to trigger an eruption, the magma chamber is under a lot of pressure already, it would be like shooting a propane tank.

I lived in Yellowstone the summer of 2015, it was pretty awesome. We didn’t have any earthquakes we could feel, but one day a cadet from the airbase in Cheyenne decided to do a low flyby on the Canyon of Yellowstone where I worked. That was probably the most I felt the ground shake, the bigger risk was the animals or falling into a geyser
Fascinating insight. I lived near Mount Etna - which was what got me interested in volcanos in the first place.

I think Face Reveals are pointless in general since they usually never improve the content.
Vanoss did a Face reveal but he never actually uses his face in any of his videos, and his content is still great. Delirious hasn't done a face reveal and I still love him.
I've never actually seen one instance where it improves content so I just don't care about them. The mystery also probably helps more.

One ground penetrating nuke could leave a crater 300 feet deep and simulate a magnitude 7 earthquake. If a second ground penetrating nuke hit the same spot a few minutes later now you have a hole 600 feet deep and another mag 7 earthquake. This could weaken the ground above the chamber where the magma is 3 miles below the surface (the melt is actually 1 mile down now and is 35% melt) and that could just allow Yellowstone to blow.

Answer: The volcano will blow badly leaving chunks and ashes to fly to the sky, also the area will be radioactive so will the chuncks flying in the air. The core of the Earth will push the magma to that area of Yellowstone and it will remain that way, nukes don't solve the problem for that, they're used for wars, not for volcanoes, the video thumbnail very stupid.

tsar bomba isnt in active use mainly because its fucking stupid to have something so overpowered.
Drop it into a geyser like Old Faithful = nature's tunnel to the magma chamber (or at least closer to it). And make it a 100MT Tsar Bomba = 7-mile diameter fireball, plenty enough to reach the magma chamber with a geyser tunnel head start. I'd love to see that fireworks show.
