There’s always some evil, disgruntled man lurking on the sidelines of a bright, successful woman’s life, waiting to destroy her. Enough! Women let your voices be heard.
Domestic violence has no place in society.
Don't you know it, don't talented women know it.
True....whats even worse is some women are unaware of the mental illness of men who wait to harm woman ,theyd wait for years.
Women all over the world pay dearly from domesric violence.let us all raise our voices against this.
Unambitious career vv0men need to stop dating m a l e s, and focus on their lives. Most m a 1 e s will NEVER be happy for your success and destroy it for you.

Let us love our selves first, run from violent relationship 😢
@@emmadora7848she already did though. He was a weak coward who wouldn’t let it go, followed her to each country she went to, more than likely possibly trying to rob her in one way or another, tbh.
She was murdered , she didn’t die

It's about control. The most dangerous time for a domestic abuse victim is when they have the means or ability to leave their abusers. I read once that what men are afraid of they either try to control or kill. Unfortunately the mindset of too many men is seeing their wives, partners or girlfriends as possessions. Not as individual human beings with a right to live their own lives with dignity, safety and security.
My deepest sympathies go out to all who loved Rebecca Cheptegei. I pray her death will not be in vain but that a change in behaviors and attitudes will come of this great tragedy and loss of a beautiful soul from this world we call home. Our forever home being in Heaven of course. Harming, killing, intimidating and abusiving God's children is not the path to take to get there.
It's the opposite.
Calling this monster a man is an insult to manhood. There are also male victims of domestic violence. Jodi Arias killed her boyfriend and claimed it was self-defense, Lori Vallow Daybell had her brother kill her partner and claimed it was self-defense. Dahlia Depolito ordered a murder for hire on her ex. Predators don't have a gender.
As a kenyan this is so sad' thats a very evil man and should rot in jail the rest of his life!
What a horrible thing to do ! Imagine the pain she must have felt ! Imagine how her two daughters must feel now losing her so suddenly ! I hope justice gets served Her ex husband must be an evil so and so !
It just shows people don't think twice to killing for land. Unfortunately that's how some people think in the West Indies as well. So terrible
Not only losing her so suddenly. It is reported that one daughter even had to watch this scenario!😱☹😈
@@trillajenn 😱 oh no that's dreadful

So sad and barbaric. Condolences to her parents and all who loved her.
We need justice and it should be served. These crimes are intentional towards these athletes in Kenya. It’s unacceptable.
My prayers from America 🇺🇸 RIP dear sister ❤
This is heartbreaking😢
It's a cultural issue, im sure in uganda as it is in kenya. As long as women are not supported by the law, these criminal acts against women will continue to happen..
What do u mean women are not supported by the law . Are u a lawyer of any kind . Domestic violence in Uganda is punishable by 10 -20. years . And since she died he aye is looking at 30 years to life . Please educate yourself . The problem here is many women suffer in silence . They are told to stay with there men even if the relationship is toxic . If she had left him maybe this would not have happened . But again very few women report there husbands and fathers to the children to the police for domestic abuse
Your own comment contradicts what you're trying to say and shows your ignorance. It's one thing to have the law in existence and another thing to actually enforce it. No one is denying that the law exists. However, those who whave the power to enforce it (typically policeMEN), often take bribes, enable the abusers rather than the victims making the complaints, and are abusers themselves. You mentioned that the women don't often report their partners. Why do you think this is? A huge part of it is for the reasons I just gave. Another reason is because of the power dynamic, where women earn less money than men, are seen as inferior, and highly depend on their male partners. In this case, Ms. Rebecca's family reported this man multiple times and he was still roaming free. This was the case despite her popularity and financial status. Just imagine how difficulty it must be for other women who don't have these resources. For you to simply say that the laws exist and women choose to not report their abusers, truly you are ignorant.
@@katanaevelyn6813please be well-informed; she already WAS out of the relationship. He just chose to spend his time ever-so-wisely by following her around, even across country borders. And she and her family reported him to authorities, but no one stopped and questioned him as far as we know.

That’s why Africa we are behind
Horrible just Horrible, poor kids and family
Justice for the dead athletes from the lynch called boyfriends and husbands
The boyfriend probably felt he was inferior to his girl now that she is an olympian
Literally…it’s toxic level of jealousy, control and envy that is the root cause of a lot of these tragedies. It runs deep within many African countries and even within families. This is why there’s corruption, black magic and unaliving people. It’s often the people you know. So sad.
🙏🙏🙏 tragic.
This is really unacceptable and heart breaking
Behind most successful men are strong, confident, supportive, loving women, but behind some successful women are jealous, insecure, hateful, and evil men/spouses! May she rest in peace. 😢 For her killer - one day he will stand before God. I pray 🙏🏽 he repents!
so true yet so depressing when you put it like that.
Horrific!!!!
Where is UN WOMEN AND THE OHCHR??? 😠😡😤😣
So sorry about this my Ugandan folks. Your government should protect your representatives apart from citizen. This was one of your TREASURE - Rebecca Cheptegie Ex Olympian runner. Love you guys from NIGERIA 🇳🇬.
My sister is a senior nurse at a private school here in Kampala, she was head-hunted by a Canadian hospital to move to Canada with her family, and they were to move their furniture as well. Her husband said no, she was not going anywhere and that she was taking over as' the man' in the house. He forbid her from proceeding with the move to Canada as it was making him ' less of a man'. True story here. I no longer speak to my in-law because of this incident. A lot of traditional African men are so insecure, they hide behind their male-dominated culture to remain mediocre. Their wealth is in the number of wives and children they have - even when the children do not go to school or if they go to bed hungry. I have 'moved on' from the African traditional stuff as it was holding me back.
The big problem "man"".
Humble, kind, and trying to enjoy the life God gave them. Yet, the evil person in her life, was overcome by jealousy and insecurities. Smh.... horrific. Justice needs to be served.
😢So sad!
Gone but not forgotten. I cannot believe it I was so happy for her when she won her race in the Paris Olympique game. RIP no more pain you left your foot prints in the sand on this planet.
My condolences to your family.❤😢😊 Peace!

That's an awkward assumption...it's about domestic violence, financial and social control
This is HORRIFIC!!
The loser had planned well before, you don't suddenly get petrol and lighters just after an argument. He had been outshined. Rest Cheptegei, Rest in Peace.

It’s definitely jealousy. They can’t stand to see them shine.
I want to see him jailed. Has he been arrested??
He is dead too
My prayers & condolences for the kids & family who had to watch their own mother & daughter burn on fire! God bless our men of integrity to make a bolder stand for women suffering from domestic violence allegations regardless if they believe it or not to do their proper investigations and monitoring to get whole truth & to not assume all women are just crazy or whores!

Backward side of Africa
Oooh please I have watched so many crimes in Europe and America based on gender and domestic violence half of the crimes in Europe n America where men kill there spouses for life insurance I don’t see the difference . Please educate yourself
My condolences to the family
Even in South Africa 🇿🇦 we had similar cases of female professional athletes being perished by their jilted significant others and ex's. This case of gender based violence is a global pandemic and it's just purely sickening.
Imagine what she wouldn't gone through all through the marriage
Oh God. Oba why did she choose to marry kenyans??? Yet we ugandans men are many. Rip. I am in deep pain.
Never put your property in the name of your partner. If you realize he has jealous, aggressive or possessive qualities, then take your hand out of Lion's mouth slowly, buy property in gated community/with security and move away
Never have a man in your life.
Just sounds like victim blaming. She could have done everything “right” and still ended up unsolved by this monster. Why not give advice to the men for how to control their jealousy and insecurity instead?
@Starting_anew
@Starting_anew
Jealousy and insecurity cannot be controlled, only suppressed. It will come out eventually. You're very smart but comprehension is key. I didn't mention gender because this tip can be used by anyone male/female.
I do apologize, I was not victim blaming. I thought I was helping anyone who would come across my post.

Never have a man in your life? How could you live life to the fullest without us? lol🤦🏾♂️😁
What a horrific thought -to think that jealousy and insecurity cannot be controlled. So your feeling are allowed to have dominion over your life? And they say women are the emotional ones lol? I feel sorry for how you were raised. Certainly most humans go through life without wanting to burn someone to death. You can curtail destructive thinking. Learn to love yourself and you can appreciate others and their contributions without feeling insecure about yourself, my God.
