    I live in🇨🇦Canada and the🇮🇹Italians lied.
It's long been known that the Vikings were the first Europeans to make the long journey to the Americas, arriving in what is now🇨🇦Canada sometime around the end of the first millennium.
But a new article in the journal Nature is the first to pinpoint a precise date: 1021, exactly 1,000 years ago-beating the arrival of🇮🇹Christopher Columbus by nearly 500 years.
The research comes from the only confirmed Norse archeological site in the Americas outside of Greenland, a settlement on the northernmost tip of Newfoundland called L'Anse aux Meadows.

Ragnars father was said to be Sigurd Ring who ruled both Sweden and Denmark. As a very young boy Ragnar was sent to Norway as Sigurd had many enemies, Ragnar grew up among allies in Norway until he came of age.
Ragnar was given the "House of Munsö" in Sweden to rule as King, later on he passed it over to his son Björn Järnsida ( ironside) who died at an age of 80+ and is burried at Munsö Island in the archeplago of Stockholm Sweden.

Dane or Norse (Danish or Norwegian), is arguably. But then again, the borders of Denmark, Sweden and Norway was very much in turmoil back then, and people travelled back and forth like it was all ''one big country''. Fun fact, not all ''Danes'' were actually Danish, and not all ''Norse'' were actually Norwegian, the terms ''Danes'' and ''Norse'' was litterally used by the English interchangingly to describe ''The vikings'', no matter which country they actually came from.

I would only believe this is the final resting place of Viking King, Ragnar IS this place was dug up by professional Archeologist, that confirmed that there are any human remains there, and IF there is nothing, then just a memorial stone, IF there are human remains there, then a dendro cardin dating would date the remains and give you the date of remains, with POSSIBE link to Ragnar. At this point, no one knows exactly where he died or is buried.

Ragnarr lodthbrok died in a snake pit in England and his remains were never found there is no tomb stone maybe sagas or jelling stones talking about him but nothing specifically marking his his death. Also there are many people who think that ragnarr was a fictional character because of the show but he was a real person and but most of the people besides the five sons of ragnarr Harold fine hair and ragnarr himself were fake people specifically for the show.

No he didn't that was a myth and happened 11 years after he disappeared in history. Ragnar Disappeared in 854-856 and there was no more mention of him anywhere after those years...
What were the Danes doing at that very moment in time?? They were attacking King Rhodri the Great one of the kings of Wales. King Rhodri defeated the Danes (which he why he became "The Great). So that is where Ragnar most likely died. It's not logical to think a man like Ragnar would of wondered off on his own never to be seen again to grow old and die or reappear 11 years later to die Aela, he was a Danish Viking! the most feared and strongest Vikings of all.
So using logic Ragnar is either buried in Wales or he is dead at the bottom of the Irish sea because he would of fled back to Dublin, Ireland injured.

Born in Sweden by a Danish/Swedish king, As very young sent to Norway for protection as Sigurd Ring ( Ragnars father) had many enemies.
He came back as a grown up man and later on got the Munsö house in Sweden to rule as a King.
