    Even though I know it's not correct I would still like to imagine Ragnar much like the Vikings Ragnar,he is about what I think a true Viking king would have been like.Very nice short story

    I agree rangnar wasn't Norwegian as I far as I know he was if dane and Swedish origin but I agree human romanticism can blow the truth into that wich it is not it makes sense as it was mainly Danes thatr settled in northumbria and the northeast of England where I live in the northeast darlington it was Earl styr son of ulfhus that ordinary settled here where now St cuthbert Church stands as many churches do on pre pagan sites but its tge same with myth and legends you have to see through the human romanticism like George and the dragon dragons did and still exist tgey are komodo dragons and early British king visited a Japanese emperor who's Palace was guarded by komodo and was given a breeding pair to bring back but they escaped and ran wild in England and tge tales got bigger and bigger as they're never seen komodo before giving tales of wings and all kinds of fabrication then poets ad their kennings till it gets blown right out of reality the illusions of the mind

    Sigurd Ring Randversson was a Swedish king that became King of Denmark as a result of the battle of Bråvalla Sweden, when he fought his fathers halfbrother Harald ' Blåtand '( Bluetooth ) Gormsson , who was King of Denmark. Therefore Ragnars 'Lodbrok' Sigurdsson also became King of Denmark. After Ragnar his son , Björn 'Ironside' ( 'Järnsida' in Swedish ) Ragnarsson became ruler of Sweden and his son , Erik Björnsson

    • @HPcartmuc200
      @HPcartmuc200 11 месяцев назад

      1. There is no evidence Sigurd Ring existed. He was most likely just a legend.
      2. That battle is 100% myth. The whole reason for that battle was that Haraldr wanted to die in battle so he could go to valhalla.
      3. Haraldr Wartooth... Haraldr Bluetooth is about 200 years later.
      4. Ragnar (Reginherus in frankish sources) was never an actual king, but a "sea-king" and was likely banished from Denmark by king Horik after the siege of paris.
      5. Bjorn wasnt king of Sweden. He might have been a Jarl in the Uppsala region, but we dont really know for certain. And like all the other sons of Ragnar, most likely wasnt actually a son of Ragnar.

    dragons are probably real. dinosaur is a recent term in history. dragons depicted all over the world came in different forms and sizes. some land based, some water based, some flying. dragons described in history are what today we now know as different animals of the time. dinosaurs today we think of things only as from certain eras of history. but that is a generalization of only certain animals in history. for example rhinos have been depicted in history at different times and by different people as dragons but today we do not call them dinosaurs.

    History has moved Ragnars history back about 100years. Maybe because a christian society around 1000 AD didnt wanted non christian heroes. Paris was among other names called Lutetia. Lothbrok could be a paraphrasing of the man who broke Lutetia? To get under the radar of the censorship of that time. Most likely everyone knew the real story at that time, as members of many prominent families ,according to some sources, were involved in the battle/siege of Lutetia

    Well let's see here... Seeing as he was a Dane, I'll believe what they have to say about him and whatever the Swedes have. Seeing as the saga of Ragnar states that he WAS thrown into a pit if snakes, I'll believe that too
    I don't give a shit about what some sad most likely Christian archeologists have to say about him when they can't use common sense
