35:32 Okay, but if Azrael shows up he needs to be religiously believe he is Batman. Like Waller opens the cage and tells her team “and this guy thinks he’s Batman”
R.I.P Milton gone but never, actually he was forgotten
I hope he gets his own book!
Who was Milton?
@@Caercutta30I'm pretty sure that's Idris Elba's character
@@Caercutta30 he was in the movie since the beginning!!!!!
I like that Starro is kinda sympathetic in that he's an abuse victim lashing out. Also, dear god do I want Killer Frost, Black Manta, & especially Joe Mangianello as Deathstroke in the next one
I mean he's still tryna take over and conquer tho
@@brandon1942 Yeah he's still a villain, but it's implied Thinker tortured the conquering mindset into him (Thinker did name him conqueror after all). At the end of his life, Starro said he was happy floating in space away from people. Starro is kinda meant to be similar to the Squad, an abuse victim who is lashing out at others, only unlike of the Squad, his lashing out is incredibly more destructive.
Also, he doesn't seem to be interested in anything other than Corto Moltese, originally ignoring the Squad and saying he wanted the city (NOT the world). The Thinker was trying to use him in an attempt to control the country's populace, and Starro is doing just that, kinda like how Harley was originally a good person but was tortured by the Joker into thinking just like him
@@overlord6993 Yeah but no one is using them. Plus I just want the two actors who played Manta & Slade back at some point
Granted the astronauts did just grab him and take him on board so even if he is born to conquer, he lashed out for defense
@@anthonyhudak9363 Yeah, he even admitted he would have preferred to have stayed in space and be alone
Kinda crazy to think characters like Ratcatcher and King Shark are gonna be well known characters after this comes out.
Loved this movie. Laughed so many times. One of the hardest being when Weasel drowned because nobody thought to make sure he could swim. I was howling.
Goddamn everyone is howling in this comment section 😂
I can't believe I live in a world where I like Polka Dot Man more then I like Superman. Or Batman.
In the DCEU yes, in comics, hell no😂
In the DCEU at least.
Tiffany mentions the gore and him saying "it's not GotG", and I didn't even think of how dead on she was with the casting of Michael Rooker (who will always be Mr. Svenning).
Nice.
I felt the movie was very original, and that James Gunn handled the project superbly
It was a nice touch that John cena’s shirt was so small when they went to the bar
alternate title of the video : Barbara Gordon and Ben Urich Reviews The Suicide Squad
Movie was a lot of fun
part of me wishes that Harley shows up in the Peacemaker show to off him for what he did to Rick even though I know it's beyond extremely unlikely. Though I can see them maybe bringing back Ratcatcher 2.
The Ventriloquist, Mad Hatter, Condiment King for the next Suicide Squad movie.
And if Lobo would be the villian, let it be POPE Lobo!
Milton is the Real MVP of the movie
WHO IS MILTON! I just watched the movie, and I see everyone shouting out to Milton. It wasn't the rat or any of the squad members or the bad guys.
@@Caercutta30 the bus driver name was Milton , he went in there with squad in Jotunheim . He even has scene with squad walking with squad
@@ryanmadej6694 You remember it wrong i think. Milton stayed in the bus and then later you see him again after the Starro battle but it was Bloodsport.
I'm like Tiffany. I don't watch trailers. If I know I'm going to watch it, what's the point? I didn't know Starro was going to be in here and it was amazing to see him in it. Going in as blind as possible is a great way to see a movie but I know it's hard for some people when they have to talk about it for a living.
I love how Gunn made King Shark into DC’s Groot. After watching this movie, I have SUCH a need to love and protect him…even though he’d probably rip me in half and eat me without a second thought 😅
As always Sal with some great takes but "Brad Bird needs to make a Superman movie" is as good as any other
Easily the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. I fucking howled at everything Peacemaker said.
Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave
Just finished watching the movie. What perfect timing!
As far as John Cena in Bumblebee goes, in the original cut of the movie shown in test screenings he was a very serious, cut-throat character. Then in the reshoots they made him a more comedic character instead. So in the final version of the movie there's bits of both versions of his character in there that inherently do not work together which makes the character come across weirdly.
I’m confused how some think this is not like GotG….it has so many similarities to Guardians.
You can almost look at the characters and say, “Ok, that’s Groot, that’s Rocket, oh there’s Quill”
The 70’s music that plays throughout…
It’s an R rated GotG…that’s the best way to explain the movie to a friend asking about it.
K
It’s less of “this is GOTG” and more of “It’s a superhero team”. Like, I can look at Avengers and find the rocket, the groot, the star lord etc. It’s more that they fulfill tropes that superhero teams often have.
@@comicpopreturns That movie was garbage
I was thinking the same thing when his helmet broke. Was real surprised he didn't get stuck
I think half the advertised cast dying right away kind of threw me and I was in a bit of a weird state the rest of the movie. I didn't really know who anybody was, but I would have liked to see more of their skill sets throughout more of the movie. I expected most of them to die, but just not so quickly. I may need to rewatch it after it's more easily accessible for me now that I kind of know what to expect. There's plenty of fun characters, moments, scenes, and visuals that I liked, but storywise, I'm not sure I was as into it. I'm not a huge fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, but I love Vol 2., so I either just need to give this one another shot, or maybe the next movie will be more resonant with me should James Gunn make another Suicide Squad movie, I don't know.
Glad you guys liked it. I loved it and it’s definitely my favorite DC movie since The Dark Knight
I enjoyed it. Bizarro would be great if he was close to the 60s version. And a cubed Bizzaro world.
Justice for Milton, gone but not forgotten
Idris Elba has never been a nobody. That didn’t happen and you cannot convince me otherwise.
I'm surprised Waller didn't court marshal the women who knocked her out. You don't do that shit. Imagine if that was Odel. Actually it would be cool to see Odel vs Waller or them teaming up.
Watch the after credits scene
Movie of the year for me !!! ❤️❤️❤️ rat catcher 2, weasel and king shark were my favorites lol
Can u review Batman the brave & the bold on comic pop returns?
I actually liked Harley in this. I think her writing has been shit until now
Suicide Squad to Hell and back. June Moon getting Waller to send a squad to get the soul of one Rick Flag (only because Waller can't get task force x to work without him in the field). You can even bring back boomerang and other dead squad members as cameos, antagonists, or even make a deal.
Wouldn't his something be weird something normal. I want his R-rated Superman or Batman.
John cenas arms took up to much of the screen tbh
For all of it's flaws I can pretty much watch the first SS over and over. I just thought it was fun. This one was technically better and was hilarious but I have no desire to watch it again. And this was definitely a sequel. The line between Boomer and Harley about her getting caught again implies the events of the first one happened.
I don;t want the sequel to have a villain. I really don't like how Hollywood trying to make them into heroes somewhat. They could do like they do the animated movies and Justice League Unlimited and just have them pull-off a heist or assassination. This movie almost did it by having them destroy evidence, but then Starro broke out
Great movie Gunns work was amazing , Fucking starro man 🤯‼️
That was not Starro. It was Patrick Starro 🤢
I hope I'm not the only one who thinks having Snowflame in the next movie would be hysterical.
The scene of King Shark ripping a man in half is what I want in a Hulk Solo film. To bad Disney messed that up and screwed Gunn over. Now I'm not even sure if Marvel will ever be able to make a film rated let alone as good as this new Suicide Squad.
Elba fucking killed it as BloodSport.
Those kids must die. They saw her screw up so many times and then betrayed her!
i love this movie so much
Peacemaker vs Rick flag gave me watchmen vibes
Ewww no. How dare you say that about Watchmen. Watchmen is a great comic book series. James Gunn's The Suicide Squad was garbage
I both liked and disliked this movie. I was taken aback by the gore, it reminded me of the most extreme of DC comics where Superboy Prime flies through, I forget who. Or maybe it was Black Adam. Anyway, it took me out of the movie to the point I was asking myself, “What is the message the filmmaker wants me to take?” Then I would think about the gore in Fulci and suddenly several scenes have gone buy.
And then the Thinker, I liked Peter Capaldi’s performance but I kept thinking he was leading the anti-heroes into a trap that was never sprung.
I watched this before seeing it with my daughter, whose mother loves slasher flicks. I love zombie movies but can't do Saw (torture porn). It was "worse" gore wise than I expected but I didn't feel like it was excessive. You made me realize that with DC having Superman break someone's neck, this felt more earned as it's the name of the game. People ARE gonna die. It's not kid friendly, and I appreciate that.
It’s rated R
I don't think I could deal with Brad Bird making a movie about Superman being an objectivist.
What do you mean?
@@lexofpower2822 Bird has some leanings that way, but he keeps it out of his films pretty well. You can kinda see it in the first Incredibles, but it's not a huge deal. I think he'd do good with Superman, mainly based on the sincerity he puts into stories like The Iron Giant.
@@Hoffmanniac You can definitely see it in Tomorrowland as well.
@@jamesgreen6877 Of Tomorrowland? The heroes of the story are trying to setup a Randian utopia. The villain screws everything up by trying to involve the rest of society.
Unless you mean Superman. Then, yea.
I would kill for a suicide squad vs lobo movie.
Dude, I would love to see Gunn do a Challengers Of The Unknown movie. Or Secret Six, but it would probably end up being the same thing as The Suicide Squad.
And I would love to see Weasel come back. Just have it that any movie James Gunn does for DC there’s a scene where Weasel shows up for no reason.
James Gunn doesn't miss.
Thank you for removing the piano 💚
Finally, I find a cultured man who knows this is a re-upload.
Man this movie was ass! Getting over hyped 🤷🏽♂️ - Pap Brady
