This was the first pro match I watched in person. I was sitting a few seats away from the booth, so I could hear Grady and Scott. If you watch at the very end, I walk by the camera. Thanks Mike for posting this match. Great memory for me!
I was watching this match and you can also see me at the end of the video lol We must've been sitting almost next to each other.! Anyways I loved hearing Grady again it has been a minute. I think he was the best and most interesting commentator to listen to. Definitely my favorite as I grew up listening to him and Incardona. I absolutely adored their banter and roasts of each others games. In a weird way they were bigger stars to me than the players. I wonder what Grady would've thought of the level of play in tn todays pool world.
Yes, I agree, it's just the jump shot that Efren can't master, I don't know if it's because his arm hurts or what, what I know is that Efren once said that the jump shot takes away the characteristic of playing billiards.
@boendahbandofficial8628 : Well in his prime he had no shoulder issue and he still didn't jump. I think his full cue jumping ability was fine, but any jump comes with too much chance. He was more confident in his knowledge of the angles from the years he devoted to playing only three bank carom.
@@rogerscottcathey I agree, he doesn't need a jumping technique... because he already knows all the angles of the table points. are there any lines in his eyes? hahaha like a game cheat in 8 ball pool😂

First time I’ve heard Scott Smith do commentary. Not bad really. Keeps it real. I have a pic of him in my game room. RIP.
Grady Mathews whistling sounding like somebody playing indoor basketball 😂
An awesome match, thanks accustats.
The professor thought our world was too PC in 1999 😂…better days
The legendary Scott Smith!? Wow I’ve never heard him commentate. 😊

Second time I've seen Efren jump a ball

Same here. The other time, he did a jump draw on the 1 against Johnny Archer in a game of 10 ball and came out perfectly on the 2. Lol.
20:46 Reyes has three cues - two for playing and breaking. What's the third for?
My only us open trip was in 99...Came down with Alex....could write a book about that trip.
