How to Sew a Coin Purse or Flat Zipper Pouch

Thank you for watching! This coin purse tutorial can teach you how to create not just a coin purse, but a zipper pouch as well. The flat zipper pouch can be used for pencils, makeup, toiletries and more!
**UPDATED TO ADD - I KNOW the foot is not a "walking foot." It is a presser foot. As I mention in many future videos, and in many replies below, I teach 9-14 year old students how to sew. I tend to repeat for them and break things down! When they were beginners, I told them the foot had to "WALK" across the fabric with their help, the way their feet walks across the ground. It kind of stuck with me.... This video was originally only available to my students/individuals with a link - long before I thought I would have a public channel and this many viewers- but I made the video public. So there..... that's the story! If you watch future videos, you see......... : )

Measurements and Materials for coin purse:
5in x 5in. Alter them as you wish.
2 Outer Fabrics
2 Inner Fabrics
2 Pellon 809 Interface Pieces
1 Zipper
Measurements and Materials for Flat Zipper Pouch (made the exact same way):
Alter as you like;
2 outer fabrics cut to 5.5" h X 8" W
2 inner fabrics cut to 5.5"h X 8" W
2 Pellon 809 Interface pieces 5.5 " X 8"W
1 zipper - 6"
