I put a button hole in the center of mine and I carry my doggie waste bags on my dogs leash this way. I pull them out through the button hole. You made it so easy to make. I am a beginner!
Had some scraps 5 x 8 from another sewing project. Used them to make these bags. Just had to cut the interfacing. Made 20 bags this evening start to finish. Great little project, thank you so much for the video. So fast and so so easy, highly recommend this pattern.
Thank you! Love your videos they’re easy to watch and listen too. I’m attempting to put a small coin purse on a tooth shaped pillow for the nephew when he starts losing teeth. 🦷
Your videos have been instrumental in helping me learn how to sew. I am very grateful for these simple and very straightforward tutorials. I've made some pretty cool stuff thanks to you!
@@shldmdn86 Remember. It's just a machine. You won't break it (unless you throw it out the window!). At worst, you'll break a needle and then all you need to do is replace it. The key is to start. It doesn't matter what you make. Just start. You can make this purse without the zip, if that worries you. Use velcro and then it's just sewing straight lines. Have a go. You can do it!
I am all over this one since my 4 yr old g-son likes to collect and carry around tiny trinkets in a plastic party drinking cup. I may use novelty fabric or vinyl or both. And I'll be sure to attach one of the smallest carabiner clips I can find so he can attach it to his pants' belt loop. Thanks for sharing and for teaching me how to be creative, Vanessa.
I made this four years ago when the video came out and it’s lasted so well! It’s great for keeping your id, a credit card, business cards, and a little cash when you run errands or go out for a run or hike. But I bought some dog themed fabric recently and will be making a new one this weekend so I can remember my pup who passed every time I take my keys out.
Such an easy and effective way to accomplish this useful item. Great to hold a bus pass or library card as well as coins or an emergency cash note or two. You could make it more practice by mod podging the fabric, prior to sewing to make it sturdier and waterproof. A piece a soft, decorative 1/2" elastic attached on the opposite side to the zip would allow for it to be carried around the wrist.
I know a lot of people that use these to hold their keys so that the keys dont damage things in thier bag. The bright colors are a great way to make it easy to spot in your bag!
Thanks sew much! I haven’t sewn in five years, but you and others have been a blessing to me. I have made a lot of these but lined them with fusible fleece and fabric. Someone is using them to keep folded masks.
I've made a ton of these but I watch your video the same, because I like so much how you work and how you teach. Thank you for your tutorials and have a Merry, merry Christmas.
You’re amazing it’s 4:45 am in the morning I just stumbled on this and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I still have to make the one with the five inch squares I ordered and received the gadget but I got hooked on something else. I think I’ve made all twelve things for the girls I use to nanny for they have everything so these little treats they love. I love watching and creating!
Vanessa, been enjoying your tutorials for years and I always find cute and practical projects on your channel. This is such a QUICK and handy little gift to make - thanks for sharing so many great projects!
I've made similar pouches but i add a second fabric for a lining. And I've used grosgrain ribbon to hold a keyring. I think it's awesome that you teach kids to sew!
Got my sewing machine in November, I am afraid to jump in to sewing. I am usually more of a handson learner, but in my town there are no local classes. Your turtorials have taken my fear away. Thank you.
Now how cute is that?!!! The only thing I’m going to do different is add anther scrap of fabric ‘pretty side’ out to be used as a lining instead of the plain interfacing. This would be great for leaving change in the glove box. Thanks for sharing your quick and easy projects and ideas.
Thank Vanessa! I’ve been trying to learn how to put a zipper in and this was the easiest to follow. I’m going practice some more. But this was so simple
Thank you, this video is so easy to follow! I'm going to use patchwork sheet to iron a piece of lining fabric and the outer piece together, and might use some bias on the raw edges. I'm really excited, this was really inspiring. ❤️
great project for fat quarters and a easy project to make for the ladies in my church, and I also love making purses, any left over fabric would be nice to make a chain purse to match the bags, thank u and be blessed
Awesome tutorial Vanessa. I love how simple this comes together. Great job!!! Hope to find time to make a few of these for stocking stuffers! Love this coin purse!!
Love this little coin purse. Wish I had kept these 12days totally free so I could churn out lots of these little fun projects! Thank you once again Vanessa 💕
I just made this cute little pouch. It came out very very cute thank you so much! I did add a lining to that I fused together and it came out even cuter. Thanks Vanessa!
