JYPE's vocal trainer has said that Sungjin’s singing skill has always been so good since trainee days, to the extent that she didn’t have much to do when she taught him.
The way they say hi hello on the chorus is so beautiful and airy, that I always feel like I'm floating for a couple of seconds, like my heart becomes really light all of a sudden. And the chills are there, of course. Every single time.

Sungjin drive a car like he as a leader in this group Actually back then when they were trainee YoungK/Wonpil/Sungjin join Dance group with Got7 to debut like a boygroup. Then Sungjin and Wonpil switch to Acroustic band but at first YoungK didn’t decide to join them but finally he decide to join in the band as a electric guitar But Jae come with this possition so Young K move to bassist position like in MV Young K reject to join their car but finally he want to join and throw guitar to Jae. Hope you can understand what I mean. I’m not good in english that much LOL
I wanted to attend a DAY6 concert sooo bad but back then their concert date were sooo close to GOT7's (which was what I was saving up for). I was a high schooler I couldn't afford two concerts 😭. I wish they'd come back here again.
i recommend you listen to their cover songs (especially Jaehyungparkian aka Jae and Brian), they are stunning. you will recognize how their voice married to each other so well, two different voice types but blend into each other's perfectly

Because no one tell you what happened to day6 that year... I'll spill you some info HAHA. So... at everyday6 era, they literally don't stop performing on radios, like nearly everyday they sing and cover songs for radio. Aside from that they have that mandatory of making 2 songs a month, including mv making, monthly concert and promotion, while YoungK and several others are pursuing their degree too at that year. Sometimes their voice are overused and that's why wonpil and jae can't get the right pitch.. to the point that myday are worried for a whole year because they overwork their vocal cord. I do believe that 2017 is really hard for day6 because Sungjin cried at their last concert in december when they sing I Like You.

They were really super tired during this whole EveryDay6 era too. They had schedules everyday. I dunno how Sungjin does it tbh but I think he always tries to get proper sleep. Lmao, jae also had asc and brian went to school. And they still had to work on new songs for the next months' release. Like woah these dudes. Anyways, now that I rewatched the MV with you, i know that they were picked up in order of whose line went first but it was also sort of like the reverse of when they joined Sungjin in the band. Also, Brian's hesitance may have been because he really initially wanted to debut in a dance group. Just my take tho. Omg. After the bside, it's the School Trilogy. So excited. Aaaaaahhhhh. I hope you could watch all three in one sitting.
I had another myday explain the Youngk part! I love how representative it was of how they assembled. And I love youngk even more for choosing to be a rockstar instead of an idol!! He's so amazing with music and lyric writing!!
Right now DAY6 didn’t have an official main vocalist but back then when they debuted, the member always said Sungjin is the main vocalist of the group. The reason why they choose Sungjin is bcs Sungjin never out of tune, his voice always ready to sing (or recording) even at the time when people struggling with (eg really early in the morning). And actually to get a voice that always ready to sing is not easy. Sungjin have been known as someone who really taking a good care of his throat. Sungjin is my most favorite voice In DAY6. I just don’t know how to describe but his emotion he throws while singing is just another level. Like, I can easily listen to any part of the song but when Sungjin come in, I feel so much emotion. Sungjin’s voice caught my most attention when I first listen to their teaser before debut and Young K is the one that caught me visually. Nevertheless, all of our boy voice is 💯💯💯 each of them emit different emotional and different beautiful sounds and they blend together despite of the differences.
Gotta say I'm looking forward to your reaction to the b-side 'Be Lazy', something different yet again from DAY6. Sadly not much in the way of high quality live versions for some reason.
