I'm using wp and rank math. I basically was looking for answers to questions like should all taxonomies be included, categories etc is it better to exclude pages from site map or mark them as no index. You are confident in front of the camera and this video is the top result but please provide more value in the video
Thanks for your comment, Praveen! Google's recommendation is to have a single sitemap for mobile and desktop versions of a page. However, if you feel that doesn't work for you, you can use the rel="alternate" tag to point to different versions of a URL. Google's documentation mentions this method here: developers.google.com/search/mobile-sites/mobile-seo/separate-urls#annotation-in-sitemaps Since Googlebot doesn't look at the sitemap each time it crawls your website, you should ping Google when you make changes to your sitemap. So yes, if you update your website regularly, you should let Google know about it. Read the last section of this document to learn more: support.google.com/webmasters/answer/183668?hl=en
@@Onelythank you for the valuable reply. Instant of sitemap submission. We will do the url inspection to request Google to crawl the page. May the difference for both. And for dynamic sitemap also we need to submit everytime?
I was trying to find out how to create a sitemap....you talk for 8 minutes...and then go to GSC.."and submit your sitemap" HOW DO YOU CREATE A SITEMAP?
No explanation on how to write a sitemap, how to create it. Not always all pages can be crawled by ScreamingFrog and other tools, therefore it is necessary to write a sitemap manually.
the best content about this topic in youtube ..
At 0:29, we obviously meant .xml, not .txt 😅
