Agreed, that is the only drawback
The one plus side to come from the UK is restrictive rules on electrically powered vehicles is the fact that every vehicle comes with pedal assist, although it is slightly less powerful
Yeah adding pedal assist would have been great to see on this bike

I’m looking to buy a z1 second hand. I’m coming from riding an s1 with pedal assist. How does your thumb do constantly using it for throttle. Any soreness?
For the most part I ride my bikes on full throttle, no soreness at all
can you still pedal ride like a normal bike?

Brian - have you had any of that hub motor issue causing a loud sound? I just watched Dillions video on "Lenz's Law". And he talked a bit about this weird theory.
Elle Star never had the issue. I have put about 400 miles on the bike and everything is running smoothly
I like the body and how it looks I just wish it was a little faster at least 25 to 30 miles per hour for the price and the miles per charge seems pretty short for the price to
Yeah they have bikes that go faster and further but they are more expensive for sure

Elle Star basically just regular ordering but it takes a long time to deliver, about 2 months

Yeah definitely! Either bike will do for just getting around campus no problem
Love the video, man. Bit of a personal one, but how tall are you? I’m looking to get one of these as just a cruise-around, fun thing, not going any great distances but I’m unsure whether it will suit me well at 6 ft 3?
No worries man, yeah I’m 5’7. This one might be a bit short for you but they make taller bikes that may work

If the bikes battery die can u pedal and go anywhere as a normal bike?
Yeah you can pedal it like a normal bike but it is heavy so it’s harder to pedal
Do you have a link to the basket you have mounted? I been trying to figure out way to carry cargo on my z1. :)
I actually do not have a link for the basket, it was just something that I found in the garage. But, you can checkout my separate accessories video if you wanted to see how I mounted it to give you ideas.

Dude thats the best bike. I added a torq sensor tsdz2 mid drive with 52v both have 1000 peak so when both are active i can climb a 45 at a angle. Enjoy i love My z1.

Hahaha yeah 100%, just keep in mind it weighs over 70 pound so it would be a workout

Yeah it’s a pretty heavy bike so you’d get tired easily
How far do u think the bike can go like miles wise?
I’d say you can get 15 miles safely on throttle only. Maybe an extra 2 if you’re trying to kill the battery

Thanks for the video! I didn’t know the Z1 didn’t have pedal assist! I really wanted to get the S2 but I’m only 4’10” and I think the recommend height requirement for the S2 is 5’1” 😭
So I was stuck between Z1 or S1 since those can accommodate my height 😂
I mean it’s just a recommended height and if you’re using throttle most of the time you shouldn’t be too uncomfortable since you won’t be pedaling as much. But you can always go to the HQ and do a test ride of there bikes since it looks like you live in SoCal. You can just schedule an appointment online

No it does not. You can find light options on Amazon though

You can do it but I think on the Z1 it's too small for two adults
Can two people ride on these?
I have seen two teens and an adult and teen/kid on them plenty of times but since it is the smallest bike Super73 makes two adults might be pushing it. But the other bikes they make I have put two adults on them no problem.

Can you make modifications to it so it’s more suited on trails? And are parts easy to find in case something breaks down
You can get better tires and front suspension fork for it. Don’t know how easy parts are to come by

Eh, it looks great but saving an extra $400 and buying a juiced scrambler would get you way more range, 750w, and 28mph.
