The ZG is the UK/EU model of the Z1 which is 100% road legal as it has pedal assist (PAS) instead of a throttle. But how fun can a bike be that's electric?

UPDATE - I've fixed the creaking noise, it was the chain hitting against the chain guard when pedaling (I've removed the guard and it's eliminated the noise completely).
I received the s2 on Monday this week, is that a south east village I recognise.
I'm hitting 33 mph on pedal assist.

My ZX arrived a week ago and I love it! Being a motorcycle rider usually it was nice to have the wide tyres!
thanks for the kind of review that we don't get on the main channels anymore now that they are given bikes to review their own collection has grown to the point where they have a bike for every occasion but the rest of us want to know what is the best value all rounder that ticks as many boxes as can be expected for the money. cool bike and great review 👍🏻

This video wasn't even in my interests but I watched it because I was intrigued to see how you've done it as it is something completely different than your usual videos. Gotta say Chris, it was awesome. Kept me interested right until the end. Really love your way of doing videos. Keep it up mate.
To anyone wanting one of these but is worried about the recommended height cut off as I was don't worry too much about it. I'm 6ft and have not found it to be an issue at all! I'd say its only a concern to anyone around 6"3 and up. Extremely fun ride, the only downside at all is that the firm seat combined with the lack of suspension can make long rides a little rough on the ol' posterior. Still overall an excellent and really fun bike!
I’m about 5”10 was thinking about getting a zg just worried my legs would cramp up against the handlebars
@@ShinyBaldBanana Nah, you'll be fine! I ride to work and back everyday and after work I normally go for a ride for at least an hour to listen to some music and just because it's a fun bike to ride! I'm 6ft and I've been riding my zg for about 4/5 months and its absolutely fine.

@@ShinyBaldBanana I think when I bought mine there was a month to return it if you wanted to! But I have no regrets personally, I use it everyday and I'm still loving it! You're welcome bud I was looking for advice from Super73 owners when I was contemplating buying one!

I am from California and I love some of the feature enrichments this bike has in the UK. I have two American versions (Z1), love the added lights, power modes and the pedal assist. It caps at 20mph here, but downhill over 25mph. I also removed the mechanical brakes and added hydraulic brakes. Huge difference. I have the RX bike too and the 4 piston hydraulic brakes are amazing. This should be standard across any bike. I also just ordered the ZX Moon Rock edition. Looking forward to this bike too. First upgrade will be the hydraulic brakes no doubt. Really cool seeing the UK counterpart.

You can adjust suspension by regulating the pressure in the tyres. Makes a massive difference

Is that sound coming from where the fork meets the steerer?
I had a similar thing on my bike, if that's the case it's possible that the connection between your fork and steerer is not the correct tightness and or sufficiently lubricated. I've got a steel bike and had that noise I had to adjust the tension of the lock nut and the crown a bit (though be careful with the crown in particular) to rid myself of incessant creaking.
If you hear it when you turn the handle bars it's likely the steerer however there's also a chance it's elsewhere. I'd take the time to hunt down the creak though, as that's often a sign of not quite up to snuff assembly, something might be loose and get damaged overtime.
A good bike mechanic can probably solve that issue for you as well, I'd take it into a shop for a once over frankly. I kinda fuck around with my own bike a lot but I'm by no means a professional. It's been fine and I've done some pretty gnarly things on it, but you don't want it falling apart on you going 25k

Great bike but unfortunately mine didn't come with lights so don't expect it to have them included! However its not the end of the world I bought a set on amazon for about £15 that are rechargeable with a USB so its not a big problem.
That really sucks that it’s so restricted in the UK, I own an S2 in the US and I can throttle up to 25-30mph. Still a good ride none the less. Great video.

I wonder if these are any good on dirt roads, gravel and sand? does the battery have a BMS? any way to charge with a solar panel directly? Reading max charge rate is 48v @ 5amp.

Thank you. I don't have any plans yet for 60fps (most channels only shoot at 24/30). Plus it would double the file size for recordings and uploading (it takes me 3 hours to upload a video on my non-fibre connection 😢

Yes you’ll definitely struggle mate. Their bikes have rider measurements on their site.

Nice electric bike! Looks like great fun. I’ve been looking at getting a Van Moof which has the Apple ‘Find Me’ feature baked in. Very different style but both super cool.
Those look nice mate. And to be honest the Van Moof is more my ‘style’ in terms of clean and minimal. But I also like my skate/surf vibe too so it was a difficult choice haha.

How long does the battery last?

I did look into getting the bike rack, but I believe it's limited to 50KG (I now have the ZG and Z1, so could only take one bike due to the weight).

It could be the frame creaking, but it could also be under tensioned spokes. It looks pretty good

Where did you get those lights
Anyone watching this review - don't get the zg or zx, on paper they're a lot cheaper than the S2 or RX but everyone who buys a zg and zx seems to end up spending just as much as an S2 would cost on upgrading the bike to the S2's level because the zg and zx just aren't good enough overall, I started with the intention of buying a zg then after watching a few more reviews I thought the zx would be suitable but after loads of research I settled on buying the S2 and I know for a fact if I'd bought the zg or zx I would of regretted it, of course the RX is nice but it doesn't offer anything more than the S2 other than mid suspension - the rest of the bike is the same. Had my S2 now for 3 months and done 400 miles and I cant get on it enough, absolutely in love with it.
What is the real top speed? The dutch website says: 25 km/h. Thanks in advance!
