Love love this link Carrie, I first saw it a couple of years ago. I made an 8 inch bracelet with 18 g, too manly so I made a 24 in necklace with 20 and a 20 in with 22g. The smaller gauge ones are so sweet and light I stack them with other pieces. ♥️

These are a fun beads/links. Those needle nose pliers are a game changer, I use mine so much. Just a little tip on your round nose pliers. Instead of using a marker which yes is a pain, use a metal file, say triangle, or a blade, something you are comfortable using to make you're marks, it is permeant. Using your 6 step you can figure what areas you want to mark on your round nose and you will have pretty much the same size with both. Thank you for sharing with us.

@@AnnHopy see now, this is why doing these videos is so awesome because I get wonderful helpful comments like this one! I have thought about permanently marking the round pliers, but I’m so determined never to use them that I haven’t yet 🤣🤣 plus, I think they’re a little janky so when I turn the pliers while gripping the wire they don’t stay lined up. They’re just junk. Another commenter told me about Tronex pliers. They’re expensive, but I might have to invest! Thank you so much for your helpful comment!

I know 🙄 took me a day or two to get over it because, honestly, I had never experience such direct negativity, and I was kind of shocked. But then after a while I realized and actually believed there was no basis for their ridiculous comment and I moved on. So it was a good lesson. I think in the future, I’ll blow it off easier. Hi! You could take something as simple as a nail file or sand paper and smooth down any sharp points. Starting with rough and ending with the finest file or paper. Ever seen a glass nail file? They are very fine.
If you have a dremel tool, the options are almost endless as to what you can use to smooth edges. Would you like more info in that area? 😁

    So CUTE! T/Y!
ALLLLL of my Tronex pliers are AMAAAAAAZING!! [They are a "bit" more expensive but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!! ~~ I have 3 pairs & will be getting my 4th for X-Mas! Albeit 2 of them are the heavy duty razor flush cutters - one for 18G/1.0 mm wire+ & one for below 18G/1.0 mm [non-ferrous] wire. I bought them back to back because I L💜VED the 1st set SO MUCH!! I think they-re even rated for up to 14-13G/1.6-1.8mm wire! They DEF cut 14G like butter, but don't quote me on anything thicker!! & they're DEF, FOR SURE RAZOR (or "super") flush cutters!! The BEST I've EVER, EVER had & I've had some that were even more expensive than Tronex (which actually were supposed to be rated for up to 1.6mm wire I KNOW b/c it's written on the handles!) But the tips broke on those more expensive ones just cutting 18G wire!! -Which is why I tried the 1st pair of Tronex! Happy accident, I guess?!?]
    Sorry! I know I talk/type TOOOOOOO MUCH!
But yeah, try Tronex!! I bought all 3 pairs from Etsy shop: "FDJTOOLS" & they're amazing if you have questions/concerns too!! But def shop around for the best prices b/c some places/websites seem like they are TOTALLY price gouging!!
    Tronex!😊😊+ FDJTOOLS!
    Aloha & Mahalo Nui Loa!!

@@taramcgee2929 hi! Thanks for asking! I’m going to attach a link to what I use, but first I’ll describe a little. It basically is its name - it has a canister that you place the metal shot, some soap or polishing compound, water, and your pieces. It does all the work to polish and clean up. I’m going to send a link to a short I made that shows the process, too.

Beautiful piece, I'm curious to know do you add media to the tumbler, and how long do you tumble them? Do you wait till you have a barrel full of pieces? Fun fact, I too have been making earrings for decades, and started wire wrapping about a tear and a half ago. Happy Crafting😊

    • @carriefoscatodesign

Hi!!! Thanks for asking.. I’m going to attach a link to a short I made actually showing the steps. But, yes, I use shot to polish with some dish soap and water. I have heard of the polishing powdered compounds you can add but I haven’t explored that yet because I’ve been so happy with the outcome so far. I’ve out multiple pieces in at the same time. Sometimes they get tangled but I’ve never seen any damage. For chain, I’ve tumbled it up to an hour! Maybe just 10-15 min for more delicate pieces. Hope that helps!!😁🧡✨💚
