Beautiful video Larry. I love seeing & hearing all this heavy rain. As long as it doesn't do too much damage to peoples property.
I have just been sitting under my parasol, outside in my garden here in London. It was around 11.30 pm & we were having a thunderstorm & really heavy rain. But it was nothing like the amazing rain in the Philippines. Thank you so much for going outside to film it all 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇵🇭

You are right about this being the best moments of their lives I grew up in this kind of neighborhood in this country and playing in the rain as a child was indeed a core memory that I took with me for life. Idk what it is about these environment that just makes it so blissful, perhaps it's the lack of stress from modern urban living, no cars honking, actually I don't remember that many vehicles around when I was young and playing in the rain because of the infrastructure compared to a first world country where it is buzzing rain or shine, the way the houses are built are also very therapeutic, aside from the roofs of houses there aren't any sheltered walkways to obstruct the work of nature you feel as if you're one with the world instead of trying to run away from it.

Indonesia is better economically than Philippines. Your poverty rate is only 9% and ours is 16%.. You also have less slums than us. Slums in Indonesia are maybe only 5% of all kampung, whereas slums/iskwater here are normal. Every barangay is made up of about 30% slums, even though the people aren't that poor inside them. It's because our culture always uses "pwede na" (it means "it's good enough") as an excuse not to beautify their home or surroundings, even if they have a little money to do it. Indonesians are more disciplined and I think there are stricter laws in Indonesia too compared with us.. Anyway, God Willing we can both have better economies soon, Salam dari Filipina.

It leads to people having an unfulfilled heart, not knowing where we come from and where we are going and the meaning of life is that love grows cold and morality is lost, people only look at themselves and are open to unnatural, GODLESS, immoral, harmful, satanic ideologies and seductions.

Better live there for a few months before you put down roots. It's not what you think. Most expats are miserable after a year. Watch more videos about the many downsides of living as an expat in the third world. Many are stranded because they sunk what little they had in land or house they are not allowed to actually own and are miserable in their marriage because the Filipina changes after marriage and property is bought in her name. You might get a ruler instead of a wife and you'll sweat your ass off day and night.

I lived there in Angeles City on Clark Air Base many years ago. This video has taken me back to memory lane. I now want to eat pancit and lumpia. I will have to go to my favorite Philippine restaurant here in Phoenix Arizona USA after the New Year. I did notice no one wearing masks and social distancing which is hard to do when you live in such close proximity to each other. If the virus was so deadly, all those people would be ill or dead. Please try to go to Carmenville in the future. That is where I lived before moving to the base. I miss the Philippines even now. God bless you and Happy New 2022 to all!

I grew up in the mid 1970s in Mandaluyong near Wack Wack and I knew what you meant when it rains. It was a relief from the heat. Back then, before the migration and overpopulation, you knew everybody on your block, the streets were clean, traffic - jeepneys only ran on major streets, no noisy tricycles, and I cannot forget my first crush Cherie asking me for flowers from my Grandma's small garden. From that point , the whole block teased us. Our first date was getting "halo-halo" at Goldilocks on Shaw Blvd. with the 20 pesos my favorite uncle gave me. That was such an innocent time. It made me cry when we had to leave to migrate to the U.S. to be with my father.
