I grew up in the mid 1970s in Mandaluyong near Wack Wack and I knew what you meant when it rains. It was a relief from the heat. Back then, before the migration and overpopulation, you knew everybody on your block, the streets were clean, traffic - jeepneys only ran on major streets, no noisy tricycles, and I cannot forget my first crush Cherie asking me for flowers from my Grandma's small garden. From that point , the whole block teased us. Our first date was getting "halo-halo" at Goldilocks on Shaw Blvd. with the 20 pesos my favorite uncle gave me. That was such an innocent time. It made me cry when we had to leave to migrate to the U.S. to be with my father.

The most memorable part of my childhood is definitely playing in the rain with other kids.

I remember in my country (Palmira, Colombia) when I was child play around the streets under the rain!! Thanks for sharing this video’s amazing
People seem more happier than any other country I’ve been to especially in the rain beautiful
I love how the kids are playing in the rain. I live in Florida so we have plenty of rain. I can’t wait till it rains again, and enough I am off that day, I would like to take a walk in the rain like they are.
even though philippines is a tropical country but when it comes to rainy season
it just a different story
I love rainy videos like this. Would you please do it more often? Thank you, and God bless. 😊
These streets and neighborhoods have their own beauty, looks like one big house and everybody knows everybody. I noticed that Filipinos are very fond of plants and trees and rain helps them to grow beautifully, love to watch rain and your tour .
Thanks for sharing
It was a pleasant walk with you.
Kids & adults playing in the rain reminding me of my childhood.
Thanks for such a nice road tour video in rain !!!
I want to visit here.this is amazing place .
Thanks for all your efforts...even braving a thunderstorm, to make this fantastic video. This is one of your best in my opinion.
+1
I will have to admit LarryPH is definitely a dedicated walker. It would be nice to see the person who is the walker. One day walk up to a shop window and take a quick video of yourself.
Oh those days were so fun! We would play volleyball on the grass under the rain, it' slippery! One time there was a super loud thunder that sounded just above us, we all ran like hell!!! hahahah!
Thank you so much for going outside to film it all 👍
I love the Philippines
I'm from saudi arabia
This was an awesome video! It was very nice to see people enjoying the rain and not running inside for cover LOL 😀.
I like this POV videos because it ALMOST gets you in the scene. The image stabilization is great and it has a cinematic vibe. Great job, I'm a fan.
Larry this video is very educational in the fact that we can see how the people live, I was in Olongapo in 1961 but I never saw any thing like this, most people will never see such a great video like this, it amazes me that you don't get lost -thanks ~ USA
So beautiful city Philippines 🇵🇭😍👌👍
Amazing, look at the happy kids in the most difficult situations ❤
Greetings from Egypt
We are in Indonesia used to do this during pouring rain. But now we just stay at home when rain is coming. I don't know why it's happened. But seeing children having fun under storm just terrible and our parents going to angry. Just not allowed playing under pouring rain with storm 😁
Amazing. People are really enjoying the rain and don't mind the inconvenience.
It's nice to see people outside without masks.
My wife and I enjoy your walking videos Larry . She enjoyed your BGC rainy day walking your that we made sure we stayed there on our vacation just these past three months. Thank you for your efforts.❤️🫡
Usually here in India, everyone takes cover when it rains. But it is nice to see people enjoying the rain and living the moment.
Really but why?
The sound and feel of rains. This is awesome. So relaxing. Ty for the upload
Larry I do follow some of your vlog noticed you often walk around that area the Payatas
you must live near by Payatas nothings wrong its just amazed me how you know your way around that area cool!
Lived in the Philippines (QC) for a couple years till "09". Your videos make me remember how fascinating the Philippines are, and how I miss them
It's great to follow your video walking through a densely populated village on a rainy day. For some reason, there seemed to be an extraordinary sensation that I felt when I saw the video in the afternoon, such as healing. Greetings from me, Indonesia 🇮🇩 🙏
I lived there in Angeles City on Clark Air Base many years ago. This video has taken me back to memory lane. I now want to eat pancit and lumpia. I will have to go to my favorite Philippine restaurant here in Phoenix Arizona USA after the New Year. I did notice no one wearing masks and social distancing which is hard to do when you live in such close proximity to each other. If the virus was so deadly, all those people would be ill or dead. Please try to go to Carmenville in the future. That is where I lived before moving to the base. I miss the Philippines even now. God bless you and Happy New 2022 to all!
Man, that sound of the rain and that thunder storm, really puts me to sleep!!! Good night!!!
I haven’t seen anything like this before kids playing in rain 🌧 and they don’t seem to care about it 😱🫣🙄😳
Really amazing 😊
Of course it’s a poor place ☹️ you can see it but that doesn’t mean I don’t like ok so please do misunderstand me ok
I really enjoyed watching this video 👍
God bless people of Philippines 🇵🇭🙏
I would never live in such a squalid place but i support Larry for bringing us these videos and giving us an insight on life
Some people don't have a choice 😊
Nice vid, bossing. Ingatz! Subscribed!
Thanks LarryPH for the wonderful and enjoyable "tour". A truly unparalleled visual experience!
The rain is one of the most beautiful things to see: its water falling down from above our heads, thunders and all those flashing lightnings running throughout the skies from east to west... That's amazing.
I am totally amazed how many people were out in that heavy rain with no umbrellas!!!!
I remember the last time I showered under the rain was years ago with my cousins and throw mud at each other like it was a snow lol I even got mud on my cousins eye 😹 but we still showered and roll around the streets and clean ourselves to go home.. my father hit us using the hanger since he didn't allow us to go out, but we still did. 😺
Awesome rain walk Larry. Greets from Taiwan 🇹🇼
i am an indian and i literally love video..the enoyment of merry children was same here in my country in my childhood..with due course of time new gagetes ruled the world and we lost this culture....rightnow we only find such things in movies and series..i wish my country back to this phase ..where rain actually become the reason to enjoy and not to sit inside their rooms..thank you so much for this beautiful video..
hello what an impressive greetings from Peru Latin America
I wish I was born in this beautiful country, amazing
Oh wow. This is cool. Amidst of rain and the threat of 'rona, kids there are still enjoying. Wish we could have that energetic neighborhood here in Commonwealth, QC.
People in the Philippines must love the rain everyone is out in the rain
watching kids enjoying the rain brings back memories. When it rains its such a fun day.
@@anthonyb.3371 I used to live in Mandaluyong too in Bonifacio st. I might know where Goldilocks is in Shaw Blvd and I probably had been there when I was little. I grew up in 80’s and left on 1990 to go to the states.
@@Rinzler03ny My Grandma used to scare me and my cousins that she will make us live in Welfareville with all the crazy people if we misbehaved which we did often. LOL. Then my mom will take us shopping to Cherry's Food-a-rama with her. Me and my cousins will watch the Kois swimming around. The Kois looked so beautiful and big as they swim around.
@@anthonyb.3371 hahaha that’s funny. My aunt used to say the same. Cherry’s grocery store? I remember that place and aunt used to be a cashier there. Do you still remember the aquarium store in the back of Cherry?

This is so beautiful. I Love rain videos but seeing everyone out and enjoying it is incredible. In Canada it seems everyone runs away from rain.
This is a true freedom from mask and faceshields. Its a normal life of simple pilipinos, rich or poor feel free.
They just had strict lockdown until the end of July. My Filipina friend told me. Is this true?
