The best thing is to just buy (or somehow acquire) an FLP (or other project file) from your favorite RUclips beatmaker, and use that as a template for your own beats. Most people want to hear the same thing anyways. So, you will learn faster through and example and imitation.
Beat making has become formulaic. If you want to make a certain genre, then find a template that accurately represents that genre, and then use it as your template. Over time, you will start adding your own sauce, and develop your own template. This is the EASIEST way to learn these things.

Good advise. I would also encourage trial-and-error learning by your self without references. You learn slower but gain so much more experience understanding what doesn’t work. And that in turn helps you produce bangeroonies. Those FLPs are great though for learning more technical things quick time
Yh man I don’t agree with your philosophy of beat making. You claim it’s generic and want to use templates and make the beats that are already out. You mention nothing about passion and creativity. This video teaches you the bare bones of what’s deeper about bass sliding. He didn’t even mention reversing 808s to get that real deal. You just don’t have the knowledge for it. I’m sorry but, you’re an insult to the music making community.

You will learn much faster by reverse engineering a template of the beats you want to make.
I have been using Fruity Loops since one of the very first releases (2000-2001), and I haven't learned much, because I chose to not reverse engineer templates. Wasted time! LOL

If you have passion and creativity, then you will make the effort and pay money to find templates that you like, and reverse engineer them. How many great musicians do you know who didn't copy many other great musicians?
Imitating people you want to be like is a creative process, and it does take passion.

You need to MASTER the bare bones before you can add your own special sauce.
If you listen to rap music from the earliest records, then you can clearly hear how we ended up with distorted 808s and the current trap/drill sound.
Finally, all the GREATS initially sounded like their influencers until they had enough mastery to branch into their own style.

It’s worst cos you started in 2001 and you haven’t learn nothing just shows your not that serious about making music. If spending money on templates is how you think you will learn after all these years only to make some generic lame beats then I don’t know what to tell you.

no plugins bro this is a function in the piano roll , all you need is a good 808 which i left the link to download for free, if anything mixing your 808 thats a different story

your welcome bro n of course you can make anything out of anything with sound design your probably just going to have to use a compressor to sustain the tail of the 808kick meaning a longer release and then boost the 808 in the sampler but im not sure how it would sound but i recommend not getting caught in sound design if thats not what you truly want to focus on , just download one shots or buy a quality drum kit imo

Can we make slides with stock 808 kicks?
I don't know why but my 808 sounds the same on every note I play, in other words it doesn't go up if I press the highest key or if I go down...i can't even go for slides or glides what do I do??
easy fix go to the sampler and reset the pitch or the time stretch and it should work

same, idk why but my slides just dont hit when theyre supposed to. I tried extending the hold in master and also tried out different 808s but nothing seems to work damn :(

sounds good i just dont get drill how ther genre is based on a drum pattern that has to be done a certain way to make the genre, i think that drill should forget about that and maybe make the rule tghat its bouncy and the rap style remains on some choppy murder rap. i just feel that it limits what yall are doing. just my opinion.
