Yes, Im in the Philippines blasting this in my small jambox in the back of my bicycle, exactly like what matt said. P.S. Glad to be a Filipino fan of these sweet moist boys.
I appreciate how much work and passion goes into this channel. Everything has such a polished finish and entertaining quality to it. I doubt the boys will see this, but I know that I and others 100% notice all of the effort that is put into the products of SuperMega
Wtf Matt why did you call me out. I don't usually blast the podcast at the back of my bike in the Philippines but WHEN I DO you're telling the whole world about it.
Matt arnd Ryan thank you for the really sweet and genuine talk towards the middle of the cast. It made me feel like things are gonna work out and you too are just too cool people doing your best and making some really funny videos. Idk it's just cool to know you guys are two people with your own struggles and stresses but you push through and making some awesome stuff. And for fans like me It makes me feel like I can too. Keep up the great work guys
was this a more uplifting and emotional ep than usual or am I just pms'ing?? WE'LL NEVER KNOW BUT.....😭💖 thank you for making my rough days smoother! love yas!
The podcast always makes me hoot but this one was so just chill funny and goofy and idek why but I had a big smile on my face like the whole time thx boys
I really liked how Matt kept it going. It was meta and actually really felt like conversations I have with my friends so I really enjoyed that bit. Especially because I'm studying in Japan until the end of August away from friends and family.
Playing Let's Go Eevee, I was able to get a Shiny Alolan Vulpix from the woman that trades you for a regular Vulpix. Took that beauty to the end of the game.
Ryan's experience editing and losing a japan vlog is almost the exact same thing that happened to me with two of my Japan vlogs. I felt that shit. Also the way he describes editing and how much he loves it is relatable. Seeing a project like that come together the way you wanted it to is almost as rewarding as the actual trip itself. And yeah losing that progress is like a forced sounding session. Sucks balls. I lost motivation for a month or two.
I'd assume the movie Hayao walked out on was Tales of Earthsea, which is considered the worst Ghibli movie by most fans, but his son did go on to make From Up on Poppy Hill. His dad's words must not have gotten to him that much, because imo that movie is one of my absolute favorites.
Grave of the fireflies is big crying material, I had to do a report on it in college and it kinda walks the fine line between that childlike wonder and adulthood and I hope you watch it soon Ryan!
You should definitely check out Barefoot Gen (also the sequel). I think it’s better in some aspects. There’s also In This Corner of the World, Who’s Left Behind and Giovanni’s Island. I’m a huge animation fan, and Grave of the Fireflies has some competition, so it’s definitely not the best out there, imo.
The film in question is "Tales from Earthsea". Goro Miyazaki went on to direct "From Up on Poppy Hill" and the Amazon Prime series "Ronya the Robber's Daughter." I think they are good. The situation with Miyazaki Sr. and Earthsea is more complicated and nuanced- he eventually went on to say the film was good.
the sd card thing reminds me of my lost flash drive that literally had all my art and animations on it and now it's just gone, like the flash drive just disappeared
UK fan here! Garth Marengis Dark Place is super obscure even here but it wasn't actually shot in the 80's, they're like the 2000's just made to look older I think.
this literally couldn’t have been uploaded at a better time. im goin on an epic road trip and need something entertaining! thanks funny supermega bros!
lmao listening back 3 yrs later and just hearing matt have an existential crisis while ryans taking a shit. this is gonna get funnier the longer it is when you rewatch it.
Have any y'all seen the Secret World of Arrietty I really love that movie it's super simple but so imaginivity and I remember it being so genuinely heartfelt although it seems horribly overlooked 🙁

I wasnt in my room for the first 27 minutes of the podcast, then as soon as I walk into my room (in ohio) Matt gives me a nice little shout out

Literally gave me chills I’m like he KNOWS
27:10 Shoutout from the Philippines! I love you guys! I'm surprised to have you mention us!
And I'm sitting in my bedroom in Ohio! Funny because I almost exclusively listen to the podcast in my car.
I like when Ryan wears a half man-bun half down hairstyle. best of both worlds.

I lost it at the Liberty Bell woman conversation

Whisper of The Heart is one of my favorite Ghibli movie. That Country Roads cover
You guys should do a live-action at muscle beach & work out with the big boys. I think it'd be great.
Ooh, 12:38, I totally agree with Matt, it can be scary to share ideas out of fear that someone could steal them and make the idea big themselves.
I'm pretty sure the big package president was LBJ
