Thank you Fares. We still don't have access to a pool because of lockdown in Spain and these dryland exercises are really helpful. I feel stronger and see that I can do more repetitions and do planks for longer periods
My physical therapist had me place a rolled up towel between my elbow and body when performing the internal/external rotations to stabilize the movement. This is just what i was told to do your doctor may recommend something different. But a great video. Thank you
Thank you very good information. What's your thoughts regarding number of reps and how much resistance should be used. Should we max the resistance and do just of few explosive reps or focus more on longer reps. I'm looking to improve my sprints.
The video could be more effective with a focus on the proper setup of resistance bands, which is essential for ensuring a productive and efficient workout. This was the key element missing. While it's helpful to learn about various exercises, it's just as important to understand how to implement them correctly. For example, at 0:16, you mention that "resistance bands are a fantastic training tool that you can use at home or around the pool deck," but you proceed to demonstrate exercises at home without explaining the setup of the bands. Proper implementation requires clear guidance on how to set up the equipment, which would allow viewers to replicate the workout successfully. As it stands, the video primarily showcases your routine without providing the necessary instructions for viewers to effectively execute it on their own. Thank you, however, for the valuable insight you've shared.
Great video but have to disagree with what you said about barbells. It’s not the case that you cannot get full ROM with barbells, it’s that usually people have poor ROM so they cannot achieve full ROM. You’re stigmatizing barbells where you should be encouraging them.
It depends (also ik this is a year old comment but I'll reply anyway) for me personally, I don't eat anything before I swim in the pool or else I'll get sick, but I try to eat a lot of protein after (so a protein shake could be good for that). When I'm doing dryland work I do bring a protein shake to the gym.
Here was a video that I found similar to the one you posted however, in addition to explaining the dry land workouts and routine, Laura also explained how the resistance bands should be setup for an effective replicate of the workout. ruclips.net/video/nYk9nr38mGI/видео.html
I love using resistance bands to take my performance to the next level and build swimming specific strength out of the water! 💪

I got my resistance bands at trainhome shop and they are great. I need chest workout because i don't know what to do.
Thanks for this suggestion!
Since training plans are "page not found", how many sets and repetitions do you suggest for endurance training?

Fares, Can resistance band help in increasing my height??
Most likely not, but strength training in general can help improve your posture, which can help you stand up taller!
Good for all ages? My son is 9.

do swimmers use protein shake?

It varies swimmer to swimmer, and after I swim for a few hours a shake usually is less satisfying than an actual meal.
How can I reduce my tummy in 7 days?
