My GOD how I wish I was alive to see this. Steve is my hero, and has shaped how I play guitar. He’s amazing. But not just him, even, this is the greatest rock band of the 80s in their prime, slaying every riff, every solo, every beat, and every vocal. From the Gods of War and Die Hard the Hunter amazing fretwork of this concert to the immaculate earcandy of Photograph and both Phil and Steve’s awesome solos, Sav showing his proficiency not just with bass but also with a keyboard, Joe able to sing the entire concert in a shredding falsetto AND STILL be able to keep going without losing his voice, Rick Allen playing killer beats with ONLY ONE ARM. These guys are amazing. While it was and is still good, their music never was the same after Steve died. I love Viv, but some things you just can’t replicate. Steve was one of them. So anyway, thank Jesus these concerts were recorded so that I’m able to be in awe and watch them perform some of the greatest hard rock songs of all time.
YES, STEVE WAS A FANTASTIC GUITAR PLAYER AND HE WAS AN UPPER CRUST BRIT. SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE DIDN'T TREAT HIM WELL BUT DEF LEPPARD DID.
