The fact that there wasn't an entire Powerline album released is honestly tragic. But I get it, if there had been one it would've been too powerful, too amazing. Nothing else would have ever topped it and Disney just wasn't ready for that. 😔✋
Yeah but I mean Phil Collins got to do the Tarzan soundtrack, so I feel a Powerline album should be allowed

It's hard to blame Max for being frustrated with Goofy, especially when you consider that their whole problem could've been avoided if Goofy had simply talked with Max about what happened at school instead just dragging him on a vacation Max didn't want to go on with no prior warning. While Max did make mistakes, Goofy wasn't acting much better.
I guess that's what this movie is about, the fact that Max and Goofy are growing apart and Goofy selfishly wants to have fun with his son but not seeing that in doing so made more problems.
I guess you can say this movie is what happens when parents think they know what they are doing (harmlessly) but it turns in another direction than what they wanted
@@bluewolf6323 I think there should've been a scene where Goofy actually apologizes to Max, acknowledging his own faults, and how he should've just listened to his son from the start. I also think there should've been a scene towards the end where Goofy tells Pete off, telling him that while he was right about Max changing the map, he is NOT a bad kid, and that Pete hasn't made PJ RESPECT him at all, he's just made him afraid of him.

@@sgauden02But PJ's mother Peg loves her son more than respect. Heck, she love her husband Pete, but she doesn't like Pete's greedy. That is why he's afraid of his wife.
I did not know the “Yo Stacy” kid was Dante Basco, & my mind is blown having been a fan of A Goofy Movie, Hook, & Avatar the Last Airbender pretty much all my 33yrs of life. No one has ever told me Disney trivia I did not know till this moment

Can we talk about how flawless the animation is when Powerline watches the Goofs so he can copy the dance correctly. What a lad.
I love A Very Goofy it’s a movie that really gets me emotionally and it has a very strong message also the songs are a bop too Stand Out is my favourite.

I've seen the Goofy movie anniversary celebration that they did live with the cast and Tevin Campbell made a surprise appearance to perform Eye to eye, at the end of the song the crowd gave him a standing ovation that seemed to go on for about 5 minutes. He truly deserved it because he's so incredible! He also played Seaweed in Hairspray on Broadway and rightly so, he was perfect for that role just like Elijah Kelly in the 2007 film adaptation
Tevin Campbell did NOT come to play on this soundtrack. Iconic.
I would honestly love the sequel just as much as the first one, if Roxanne was in it.
So I love the whole trilogy of this franchise
Goof Troop, Goofy Movie (amazing Runaway Brain short w/ it), and Extremely Goofy Movie. And then House of Mouse to cap off Max’s final stage as an adult.

Okay I have so much to say on this movie. Goofy Movie is one of the most underrated Disney classic animated movies ever, it’s such an enjoyable movie and the characters are so lovable. Also Tevin Campbell as Powerline was the most perfect casting, it made the soundtrack even more perfect!
Fun fact: did you know that A Goofy Movie was inspired by the 1992 television series Goof Troop?

This is my era - the era of Extreme. When even Disney took risks in a just barely G rated animated movie. Timeless, teenage fun. And Tevin Campbell needs to do a Powerline tour. It’s mandatory and long overdue at this point. Get in that yellow jumpsuit, Tevin, and do that moonwalk! And Pauly Shore as an obvious super stoner superhero with Roxanne as the hottest animated high school girl (my view as a 13 year old guy) just puts icing on the cake. You can’t beat a hand drawn animated movie. CGI just doesn’t do it. Edit: yes, Powerline is black - and so is Rosie Gaines, who helped with the vocals. I used to watch the TV series that inspired this movie in the early 90s, and as a white Canadian kid, I always thought Goofy, Max and Roxanne were intentionally black. It’s what made them cool.

Yes, I love this movie. For it to be a goofy movie (no pun intended) it’s so emotional and serious about it’s message. Despite staring a more silly, fun, and joyful character, this movie shows that there’s more to him then just being Goofy. He can get upset, angry, and be just as serious as anyone else. Also it shows me how much I need to cherish my parents as well even though I’m getting older. That’s why this movie will alway have sweet spot in my heart. 😋❤️

Side note: the line “ though he seems intoxicated he’s just highly animated” is legit one of my fave lines from the soundtrack😂😂

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, it was one of the only other movies I would rewatch besides Monsters Inc. The musical numbers and the emotional beats to me hit so much personally, and I loved Max and Roxanne. Also the animation is so good too haha

Well here's the thing about Max's mom and some the concept art for the early version of the goofy show of the goofy show some of the early concept art Max did have a mother while the show is in development but when the show finally came full development Max's mom wasn't in the show so when the show is in development there was Max did have a mom originally ideas he fell off Mount Everest
To each their own I personally think a possums are quite cute animals possibly because I watched over the hedge and the opossums in that movie are absolutely adorable.

Looking back at this movie as adult you see alot of stuff you miss and the hidden clues so cute. I feel like if Goofy want to spend some time with Max he should have had a set down and ask him what he like be good no wonder it went wrong

In this adult joke it's insinuating that goofys wife (who ever she was) was sneaking around with the milkman
So that might explain why we never meet maxs mother

Only thing is that neither Roxanne nor Bobby Zimuruski was in there. However, Pete's wife Peg Pete and daughter Pistol appeared as main characters. They weren't added into the movie likely because they didn't factor into the intended story or theme.

Technically Goofy is not a dog even though he has that dog appearance. Because every time they say play as a dog character on Disney emoji blitz he won’t count. I recently learned that goofy was Disney’s attempt to make them a version of human in their world with Mickey and friends.
