    Looks like a nice place and your food looked fresh. The bread looked rather nice. I have never had a donner kebab though because my son would go out drinking with his friends then they would order kebabs and then save half of it in the oven. I would have the joy of cleaning the bathroom afterwards. What put me off was a take away place in my town and the kebab was in its burner during the day whilst the takeaway was closed and bluebottles were laying eggs on it. Iceland used to do a pack of Donner meat. The strips were all the same size and looked like Amazon packaging but with the fragrance of marmite. My son loved them but they had the texture of those strips you buy to give your dog a treat. Anyway see you on the next one. 👍

    This "kebab shop" gives us Germans a bad name. Here in Germany, I'm not aware of any large kebab chain. Most restaurants are small family businesses. I would recommend anyone who thinks this "restaurant" is "German" to go to a real kebab shop in Germany. We don't eat the kebab as dry as it is apparently served there. We usually have a garlic sauce or yoghurt sauce on top. Depending on the restaurant, there might also be other sauces.

    • @GreenoEats
      @GreenoEats  3 месяца назад

      I’ve not had a kebab on any of my visits to Germany, but generally have found the food to be good on my visits, and as you say, many family owned restaurants. I have spent most time in and around Frankfurt area, and always enjoyed the regional specialties such as Handkaese and Gruene Sosse, delicious!

    • @GreenoEats
      @GreenoEats  3 месяца назад

      Well actually the kebab meal only comes with 1 sauce, I only got 2 sauces as I also ordered the spring rolls. When doing the review I think it’s important to try with and without though, so you get an idea of the actual flavour of the kebab meat. Later in the video I did add the sauce, which in fairness did help to mask just how bang average the kebab was 😂

    Almost every reviewer that I’ve seen that has done the German Donna have all said how bad it is, I’ve commented more than once the Germans need to stop making them and go to what there good at, sausages, particularly bratwurst, kielbasa and other German sausage and leave the kebabs to the Greeks, I’m surprised you didn’t have the same opinion as Gary and many other reviews and just absolutely slate it for being so bad

      I think it’s fair to point out the good as well as the bad. The fries and sauces were actually really tasty. But it’s not the German Fries and Sauce - the kebab should be better.
