Should have told him to beat it. RUclips privacy requires you to hide identifiable images of people if they request it. He wasn’t in the video. Must have objected to the camera conversation. I’d have called the manager and told him to get lost.
@@JayandSarah he was very shortly afterward joined by female company - I can only speculate that it was company he couldn't risk being caught on camera!

It's always better to be polite - defuse a situation rather than enflame it. Sure he was a bit rude, but even after I moved he didn't have a smile on his face during his breakfast, so perhaps he's just one of those kind of guys.
Some people just don't like cameras. As we know its visual AND audio, that's being recorded. To be fair, he didn't know how sensitive your microphone is. The food and garden looked great.
Well I think the guy had every right.he was a table away in a quiet garden to eat his meal .He was polite but it was awkward situation.Would you like someone talking into a camera on the next table. What i don’t know is who was there first? If he sat down next to greeno then he should move.I know ill get grief for saying this but just my thoughts, love the channel m8😊
He was at his table first. However I sat as far away from him and other guests as I could, and was talking quietly. Couples at other tables were certainly louder in conversation than I was.
You are a Gent, he was a complete fool, I would have filmed his table from a distance and posted it. He had something to hide. As said, well handled, I may have not conducted myself in the impeccable manner you did, cheers
I find the gentleman who called what you were doing ‘strange’ and asking you to move was outrageous in his requests. I mean how rude, it wasn’t like you were disturbing anyone? You were causing as much fuss as two people having a casual conversation at a table! Which is what you were doing in hindsight, talking to us! Plus, he wasn’t in your shot either, your the better man my friend but in that situation I think I would have been less polite… great video my friend, this is the first time watching you and your brilliant. Ham/Bacon, yeah fair enough. Fruit and cake, step to far.. So good room, fair to middlin breakfast, But no toast? and they had a good looking toaster. So back to Blighty. Safe journey and see you in the next video Allan&Family
It was a little strange, but better to act with politeness in the face of a little rudeness. I don't mind the cold, salady stuff with the breakfast, especially when it's already warm and you know it's going to be a blazingly hot day ahead. Same for the watermelon :-) Could have had toast didn't want to run the risk of triggering someone with the sound of toast popping up at 30 paces though ha ha !
Hi Greeno The move thing aside, which you handled well and your focus was on the hotel and breakfast, also you didn't mention it again which others may have. I love the fact that you stay in little places not chains. Room looked nice, very similar to those i have stayed in -Germany, Austria and Belgium. Lovely location, we stayed some years ago in Köln in a small pension/hotel not far from the Dom and tbh you wouldn't have known you were a stones throw away from the busy area. Love a small courtyard location and a continental breakfast. Price is standard for Eastern Europe these days, since covid rates have gone up obviously but let's be fair it's good value compared to UK and London prices 😂. Nice to see travel opened again . Have a safe trip home and thanks for the great content and no Brits lol.😂😂😂 Don't you fancy Corfu lol 😂😂😂 ? Our best friends in Germany are currently on a trip to Lübeck and the Friesian islands at the moment trying to find their Viking roots 😂. Amazing amount of historical buildings etc fantastic Take care mate. Cheers Jonathan
Thanks for the kind words and interesting comment. I do like finding smaller hotels to stay in, they’re just a bit more interesting than the corporate brands, and often a bit more care and attention to detail for the guests. Saying that, when in Hungary I did stay in an Ibis, but that was just because it was less than £50 a night in a convenient location… Interesting about your friend’s vacation… I know a lot of people in Germany and heading north to the coast and visiting the islands seems to be a really popular vacation choice among them. I guess it’s the only way of staying in Germany and seeing the sea!
Thanks, I think under the circumstances it was the right move - no point arguing with someone and potentially disturbing other people's breakfasts too.

Maybe he just had a bad nights sleep (or maybe he just couldn't risk the female company that joined him a couple of minutes later being caught on camera haha!)
As I wanted to continue filming (and to enjoy the breakfast) I thought it better just to take it on the chin rather than stand my ground - yeah he was a little obnoxious but that's his problem ha ha !
Some people are just so weird 😂 why did he not just since somewhere else, rather than bothering to ask you to move..if brains were dynamite and all that lol
If he genuinely felt I was loud and disturbing him then fine - he didn't seem to have any issue with the couples talking across the breakfast table. Anyway, better to respond with politeness :-)
You handled the situation very well but part of me does understand how a customer looking for a quiet breakfast might not want to be sat next to someone talking into a camera. It's the equivalent of being sat next to someone talking into their phone. No big deal for some people, a massive distraction for others. You dealt with it very well, though.
I get what you’re saying, although when filming I try to be as respectful as possible, I’m never loud, and try to position myself and the camera so I am the only person in shot. But these things happen 🙂
@@GreenoEats Yeah, from reading your replies to other comments (after writing mine), it's obvious that you weren't actually invading his personal space during your review. It's just that it was hard to tell simply from watching the video. Either way, love your channel!

The food looked pretty good, typical continental style. I can understand you being asked to move. I'm surprised it doesn't happen with food reviewers more often. Although what would have happened if you had been talking to a wife or friend ?
I understand it’s not something you see every day, and people wouldn’t want to be caught on camera (although anyone could see the camera just pointed at me with nobody in the background)… I’m not one of these content creators making a big song and dance about it, undoubtedly there were louder conversations being held at other tables in the courtyard than me talking the the camera. I still found has manner rude though, interrupting me and asking me to move. He was joined by female company shortly afterwards though, so perhaps he couldn’t risk being caught in shot!
Ha ha - that's kind of my thinking, but you know what, I still enjoyed my breakfast, whereas the other guest had a glum look throughout his, so who's the real winner :-)
His accent seemed Dutch / Belgian to me, but I am no expert! I thought his behaviour was a little rude, but better just to be polite than cause a scene. I wonder if he’ll ever see the video 😂
Of course, people are entitled to their privacy, and I always try to respect that when filming, angling the camera away from folk, and trying to maintain a calm demeanour throughout, so as not to disturb others.
I am very surprised not to see any previous comment from me here. Maybe I was too "honest" about you having to move and Google did not like it so removed it. I do always check, as I do not want to spam the channel. Anyway, I think previous commentors are not far wrong. Maybe the gentleman needed guaranteed privacy for a private liaison; although if that were the case, why not have breakfast in bed!?! The breakfast itself was standard European fare. Nothing to celebrate but equally nothing to complain about. - Greeno: "Sitting in the garden is nice and peaceful with not much noise around" - GaryG1974: "Apart from some gobshite telling you to move" 🤣Sorry Greeno, but you should not have been asked/told to move!
@@GreenoEats ok, just going by your Thumbnail. Still bad however, another guess has no right to ask someone to move, they can complain to management, then it's up to them if they agree & ask the person they move.
I wouldn't have moved. The other guy could have! How rude. I'm at least pleased the rudeness was not from a staff member. It looked like a decent breakfast and nice place.
I didn’t think there was any need for it, but better to be polite and keep filming 🙂 I would highly recommend the hotel nonetheless should you ever find yourself in Bratislava!
I love my photography and have been challenged many times but they've always lost their futile quest.....I'm old and disabled but I'd still have told that idiot to move his table if he felt uncomfortable....his problem not mine. Great garden to enjoy that lovely food in , just a shame you had to suffer the wrath of entitled man....that's our next generations nemesis 🤣
In situations like this I find a polite response often the best policy. No point to cause a scene to ruin other people’s breakfast. And who knows if he would have found other ways to disrupt my video.
@@GreenoEats ...you are a very nice person and obviously avoid confrontation but the more we pamper to these entitled people the more they believe it's their right to act in such a bad manner without repercussion , it's time they learnt a lesson. Stay safe my friend
I mean, we're all here to praise Greeno I get that. Lots of keyboard warriors having a go at the guy who asked him to move (for whatever reason) and yeah you can say it was rude, but I was recently on holiday just having a nice quiet breakfast and a blogger started doing a food review a table over and it kind of annoying. However quiet they think theyre being you can hear it and it just spoils the atmosphere ... well it did for me. Have a go and say I'm being unfair ... fair enough ... but I was there for a break / holiday and the blogger as his job to earn money - whichever way you cut it i think theres an expectation of some level of peace ... if I was earning youtube money to eat my breakfast thhen I'd be much more accepting, but I spent my hard earned to pick a lovely quiet spot to chill.
That's fair enough, although I will always do my best to ensure the camera is facing away from people, and I use a low voice if it's a quiet environment. There were couples sat in the breakfast room having much louder conversations.
He interrupted and then asked me to move to another table - was a bit on the rude side I thought. But better to respond with politeness than make any kind of scene. I should have told him his conversation with his partner was disturbing my filming ha ha !
I really don't understand what kind of problem did the othery guy have.. really very strange! But based on the accent it was another guess from the UK (not that it matters really..) . Greetings from Bratislava!
I think the guy was Dutch - strange reaction, but all handled just fine... I just got to have another perspective of the breakfast garden :-) You're lucky to live in such a beautiful city - I'll be back one day for sure!
My reply wouldn't of been so polite to the other guest... you both have a right to eat your breakfast how you want, irrespective that you were talking to a camera. Breakfast looked decent though. Lee
The breakfast was good, not as good as the one I had in Vienna a few days previously though. As for the other guest, who knows why he reacted as he did, maybe he just had a bad night sleep (or as others have suggested maybe he was with somebody he shouldn’t have been and couldn’t risk being caught on camera! 😂)
Well handled. If you had moved to a table right close to where he/she/it was already seated, perhaps you should have asked him/her/it whether they could be offended with speaking to a camera. Politeness works both ways. Agreed the person sounded aggressive but so would I if I had already sat nearby with my secret Girlfriend, before some camera guy eavesdrops. Cheers. I eat tons of Water Melons and Cantaloupe Melons every morning on a cruise.
I understand your point about politeness, but I was very careful to set myself up so no other guests were in shot, I was a respectful distance away from any other table and I kept my voice low. People wouldn’t ask before making a phone call or having a conversation. And yes, you’re not the only person to wonder if he was with company that he shouldn’t have been, hence his reaction 😂
Probably the best response to this kind of encounter. Unfortunately some Europeans can be quite brash and forthright, but it is something that is generational and learnt. Food looked nice despite the drama.
I did find his manner a little rude - but as you say better to respond with politeness so as not to further disturb him or other diners. Of course, English not being his first language could explain that - or maybe he just had a hangover ha ha ! Either way I still enjoyed the breakfast, and would happily stay at this hotel again.
I don’t think he was rude, he asked him to move and do his piece to elsewhere, it would annoy me to hear someone give a running commentary of their breakfast

Well if he didn't want his 15 mins of game he certainly ended up getting it ha ha!
@@GreenoEats lol, you could be very right!
Mate, that guy thought he was either better or above you. If he has a problem, then he moves not you. You were just talking normally like if you had someone with you.
I could tell he was doing other things before and after he spoke to you.
I hate passive aggressive bullies.
You are a great man for having that kind of composure.
Thanks for the kind words. Whatever the guys problem was, it just made sense to me to respond with politeness. No point to cause a scene in front of other people trying to enjoy their breakfast 🙂
Hats off to you sir , handled that request to move like a gent, I reckon he was feeling left out a decided to video bomb your stream. Nice video keep up the good work 👏
Thanks - he got his 5 minutes of fame whether he wanted it or not !
Sounds like the guy was from Holland. Thank you Greeno for being the perfect English Gentleman! Great example of British manners. Also the cheese looked so tasty! I bloody love cheese!
Yeah I thought Dutch too. But I always think it's best to meet any rudeness with politeness (normally that's more frustrating for the rude person than a more fiery reaction!)
The hotel room and garden looks really nice, a nice breakfast choice is always good. Bet the cold cuts ( meats) were good. I am sorry the guy asked you to move, does it makes sense?? I needed to smile a bit, saw the crisps on your table and thought, yes, could be mine room, too - 2 cans of beer and crisps 😅😅😅 aww the nut strudel would have been my favourite ❤
The breakfast was good, the guy was a little unreasonable I thought 😂 As for the room snacks, it’s a must isn’t it!!
@@GreenoEats it is 😀

Couples eating at other tables were certainly having louder conversations than I was with my camera!
Ignorance has no borders. You were very polite to this character who decided he was more important than you. Good review as always.
It's always better to be polite - defuse a situation rather than enflame it. Sure he was a bit rude, but even after I moved he didn't have a smile on his face during his breakfast, so perhaps he's just one of those kind of guys.
I would have told him to do one tbh. FairPlay for handing the situation nicely

Some people just don't like cameras.
As we know its visual AND audio, that's being recorded.
To be fair, he didn't know how sensitive your microphone is.
The food and garden looked great.
Yep, that's fair enough, and so as not to disturb him I politely agreed to move - I think he was a little rude in his manner still...
@6:59 your a gentleman ! .. . i would of told him to move ... hehe

Nice hotel . Nice breakfast too by the looks . .
Enjoy your travels . Take care .
Bye from NZ👍🍻🇳🇿twa
Yeah, hotel and breakfast were very acceptable indeed :-)
You are a Gent, he was a complete fool, I would have filmed his table from a distance and posted it. He had something to hide. As said, well handled, I may have not conducted myself in the impeccable manner you did, cheers
Thanks, it was a bit of an awkward situation, but better to defuse it and carry on filming!
Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words Billy! I thought he was quite rude in his manner, but better just to be polite and move elsewhere to keep filming
Does Gary get this behaviour from anyone I've never seen it
you are very kind, if he doesn't want to be in the video or doesn't want to hear what you saying, he can move!!!
Well yes, that's a valid point. But rather than argue I thought it best to simply be polite, move elsewhere and continue filming unimpeded 🙂

The jobsworth who requested you sit somewhere else could see that the camera wasn't pointing in his direction, the only reason we knew he was there is becuase he walked into your filming area. You handled it well.
Exactly - it's only because he came to complain that he got into my shot ! Still, not to worry, the breakfast was good, and I liked the hotel too !
Well another top video and the the food looked good! As for the chap that asked you to move on…. It doesn’t matter if you were talking to your camera or a person your tone of voice would have been the same I’m sure. Good job I wasn’t on this one with you Greeno 😂😂 take care ….Smithy

Hello Greeno, on the plus side your new bestie at least spoke English 🏴thought I'd give him a wave 🌊👋. Damn cheek of the fellow. Could have been worse 🤔 could have been English with attitude " the what you lookin at? You want some? " Ah the British abroad 🤠🥴😵😵💫. A very nice selection of meat and cheese, still can't accept cucumber at breakfast 🥒Hot-Stuff( not you 🙄) the food, again not sure about the cooked peppers 🫣maybe mixed with the eggs?
Hi Greeno
The move thing aside, which you handled well and your focus was on the hotel and breakfast, also you didn't mention it again which others may have.
Have a safe trip home and thanks for the great content and no Brits lol.😂😂😂
Don't you fancy Corfu lol 😂😂😂 ?
Our best friends in Germany are currently on a trip to Lübeck and the Friesian islands at the moment trying to find their Viking roots 😂.
Amazing amount of historical buildings etc fantastic
Take care mate.

Thanks for the kind words and interesting comment. I do like finding smaller hotels to stay in, they’re just a bit more interesting than the corporate brands, and often a bit more care and attention to detail for the guests. Saying that, when in Hungary I did stay in an Ibis, but that was just because it was less than £50 a night in a convenient location…
Interesting about your friend’s vacation… I know a lot of people in Germany and heading north to the coast and visiting the islands seems to be a really popular vacation choice among them. I guess it’s the only way of staying in Germany and seeing the sea!
Great video mate, fair play to you for moving too very respectful
Thanks, I think under the circumstances it was the right move - no point arguing with someone and potentially disturbing other people's breakfasts too.
Well done for avoiding confrontation. I would have told him where to go but not in such polite terms. What a pillock!
I thought it best not to cause a scene - he may have been somewhat brusque, but no point to ruin anyone else’s breakfast!
That was a walnut beigli, traditional here in Hungary too. Next time order a huge cup of cold milk with it instead of watermelon ;)
Thanks for the info... I don't drink milk though, so that might be a problem :-)
What is so strange about a man filming, eating breakfast and talking to himself? 😏😂, your so polite Greeno, regards from Éire ✌️

You handled the situation well. I get that people are fed up being filmed but he seemed like a total bell piece
Who wasn't being filmed until he came over to interrupt 🤣
You handled the situation very well but part of me does understand how a customer looking for a quiet breakfast might not want to be sat next to someone talking into a camera. It's the equivalent of being sat next to someone talking into their phone. No big deal for some people, a massive distraction for others. You dealt with it very well, though.
I get what you’re saying, although when filming I try to be as respectful as possible, I’m never loud, and try to position myself and the camera so I am the only person in shot. But these things happen 🙂

I can understand you being asked to move. I'm surprised it doesn't happen with food reviewers
more often.
Probably he was playing away and didn't want his wife having the evidence
A few people have speculated that - could be couldn't it!!
Greeno talking to a camera on his table is no different to talking to a person on his table, I would have told that bloke to FRO! 😡

Any idea of the nationality of the 'toss-pot' who asked you to move ? Unless he was staff it was not as if you had him in your line of vision.

@@jessicanippes1730 yeah, I thought probably Dutch too - but rudeness can be an international language !
Greeno i have wondered if you need to ask to film ? People are entitled to their privacy and may be unaware of you filming. Have a nice day 🎉 🐸
Of course, people are entitled to their privacy, and I always try to respect that when filming, angling the camera away from folk, and trying to maintain a calm demeanour throughout, so as not to disturb others.
- Greeno: "Sitting in the garden is nice and peaceful with not much noise around"
- GaryG1974: "Apart from some gobshite telling you to move"
🤣Sorry Greeno, but you should not have been asked/told to move!

Lots of people would have apparently according to my comments section haha
Only €95? Just a few years ago you'd have paid much less than half that in Bratislava!
Yeah, perhaps so. Just seems cheap by UK standards
That's the worst thing a restaurant can go to someone, ask them to move while their eating! Unbelievable...........
It was another guest, not the hotel itself
@@GreenoEats ok, just going by your Thumbnail. Still bad however, another guess has no right to ask someone to move, they can complain to management, then it's up to them if they agree & ask the person they move.

@@GreenoEats ...you are a very nice person and obviously avoid confrontation but the more we pamper to these entitled people the more they believe it's their right to act in such a bad manner without repercussion , it's time they learnt a lesson.

Yeah perhaps so, although I was hardly being loud, no more so than any of the other occupied tables where people were chatting!
Your absolute gentleman thinks I would have told him were to go 😂
Better not to cause a scene!
It looks pretty austere
I actually quite liked the hotel - nothing too fancy, but great location, nice staff etc.
Great video greeno didn't see any gentleman ask you to more.just some busy body with nothing else to moan about..😁
He interrupted and then asked me to move to another table - was a bit on the rude side I thought.
Too hot for a full English I suppose mate but that looked like it filled the gap.👍🏻😁

9 of 10 overall and looks enjoyable.
It was indeed a good breakfast, probably more 8 out of 10, wasn’t as good as my breakfast in Vienna
@@GreenoEats Yes I agree and just looked better than I thought.
