My favorite parts of this podcast are where Andy goes into his own experiences as a player. I don’t care if it’s a 20 minute long tangent, I’m always here for story time.
This podcast has managed to be entertaining even in a time of year where there is barely any tennis going on; top players are largely resting, the tournaments that are on are fairly small. Can’t wait to see what this pod does during this upcoming stretch of tennis from Indian Wells up to RG!

Having been a long time tennis fan, this is now by far, my favorite pod, sports related or not. Andy is great to listen to and Jon is a great partner for this type of content. Love when they pull the curtain back for a behind the scenes of scheduling, coaching changes or whatever.
Andy is so entertaining and so knowledgeable in his perspectives, the time flies by. Happy for him that others are enjoying him as well. Great work to all involved.

Brazil ftw haha keep on going, amazing work! Here in Brazil we have some tennis podcasts, but none of them are hosted by a former number 1 who is engaged at the tennis scenario as Andy Roddick. You bring a lot to the table. Also, Andy's accid humor is just the kind of humor that we enjoy haha.

Happy for the good news, but relieved that doesn't mean that we lose the YT access to it, esp those of us outside of the US. Also hope tennis channel isn't expecting crazy production cause some of the appeal of this is exactly that, it makes it informal and seems like you're just chatting with your friends, just that these friends are insanely successful in a pro sport in one of it's golden eras.
Saw Andy asking about changing racquets, hope a bit is mentioned next episode, and a bit of a backstory on the gear he's used so far and, if possible, why Andy is looking for a change.

I just finished listening to the first 3 episodes - excellent content. You're filling the void created by the demise of the Tennis Week and Inside Tennis magazines. Only 1 criticism - during the Saudi discussion in the 1st episode you kept referring to the WTA's controversy with China affecting the staging of the year end tournament, without actually explaining the basics of the controversy and the consequences (i.e., you assumed the audience knew all the details). I would be interested to hear a further explanation about what exactly occurred/is occurring, because last year's tournament was disastrous. Otherwise, keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to future episodes, as well as the T2 debut.

It may not seem important for what is really an audio format, but if you're going to have video, a better camera / quality would be worthwhile. At the moment it's a little incongruous with what is otherwise a great podcast with lots of potential.

3 episodes in, I'm very much enjoying the candor, Andy. Please keep that up. I'd much rather you say "no comment" or "I'm not at liberty to discuss" than hear you give an intentionally politically correct take on something. Also, you're in a unique position among the tennis podcasters / youtubers in that you played the game at the highest level with great success AND are contemporaries with the last TWO great generations of men's tennis -- the tail end of the Sampras / Agassi / Courier era, and the Roger / Rafa / Novak era. So you can actually describe in detail what these guys are like inside the ropes and inside the locker room. Hopefully you'll share a lot of that in the coming podcasts. Here are some suggestions for future podcasts:
Desired Guests (but only if he/she is willing to speak their mind and share some insights; no fluff interviews please):
    1. Pete Sampras
    2. Serena Williams (I've heard you say she's one of your best friends)
    3. Andre Agassi
    4. Jim Courier
    5. Ivan Lendl
    6. Brad Gilbert (he's got the midas touch; would love to hear the behind the scenes details of your player/coach relationship)
    7. Monica Seles (one of the best and grittiest, and not talked about enough these days for what a great player she was)
    8. Rick Macci (your childhood coach)
    9. Ben Shelton (perhaps the next great face of American tennis on the men's side)
    Desired Topics:
    1. Andy Roddick's path in junior tennis (please don't be general; give us tremendous specificity -- training schedule, tournament schedule as a junior, did you entertain the idea of playing in college and if not, why not?, at what age did you truly believe you'd become good enough to be a high level professional tennis player, and what was your level of success in junior tennis when you first had this belief)
    2. Can the minimum required skillset of a top 100 ATP tour player be quantified? I know there are a lot of ways to get it done on the tennis court, but for example, if you don't have a first serve of at least say 110+ mph, you probably wouldn't make the top 100 these days. So you could say that for starters, you MUST have a first serve of at least 110mph. So it's not hard to imagine that there are other minimum requirements. So what's the minimum forehand pace? Minimum backhand pace? Minimum RPMs on the groundstrokes? Etc.
    3. In your playing days, off the court, was it obvious to you which players had the "right stuff" (mentally and emotionally) to win slams, and which players didn't? And if it was obvious, what exactly were the signs of the "right stuff"?
    4. Why are you still the last American man to win a grand slam? Still?
    5. Take use through a player's schedule during a tournament week. How much and how often are you practicing, on match days and on off days? Are you practicing on-site or intentionally off-site? Does your sleep schedule vary (obviously night matches can affect it, but maybe you try to go to bed late and wake up late)? Room service or restaurants? Do you have any fun outside of the tournament and outside of obligations? And are you managing your own schedule or is someone telling you what to do, and when?
    6. Should the ATP tour prioritize a larger number of players being able to make a reasonably comfortable living? And if so, how would they do this? It seems like a good idea to me if the top say 400-500 players in the world could make a good living, but from what I hear, that is NOT the current reality. It's maybe only the top 100-150, if that. I could be wrong. Certainly in all the top team sports, there are hundreds of guys (in each sport) making millions EVERY SEASON, and that's a season that is shorter than the ATP season, which is about 11 months long.
    7. Has the slowing down of the Wimbledon grass and the speeding up of the French clay made it easier for the best baseliners in the game today to win a lot more majors than was possible, say, pre-2000? And thus you have 3 guys all winning 20+ majors, something that was unthinkable 20 years ago. Sampras had an insane game, probably the best of all time thru the end of his era, yet he had very few good chances at the French. Lendl had a few close calls at Wimbledon, but never got it done there. I'm inclined to think if the French clay was faster in Sampras' era, he could have and would have won it at least once. And had the Wimbledon grass been a bit slower and smoother, I've got to believe Lendl would've prevailed there at least once.
    8. How far can hard work take you in tennis, or do you need to be born with elite level talent (fast arm for cranking the Roddick serve, for instance).

Um, er, kinda cringing at the blowback to your twitter presence. So may I be an a-hole here? Love your comments on professional tennis. Given an estimated 8 billion people on our planet, I'll say what probably a gazillion people think - sports is the celebration of human life, and tennis is the best of sports. I'm not going to say "stay in your lane" but consider just focusing your podcast on tennis. Don't want to have to skip through your comments on other sports you may follow. Maybe your sponsors pay you to comment on other sports, but how much money do you need? And this is where your producer ignores or blocks me. Hopefully not.
