I laughed out loud when I first saw the title of this video because it's like you read my mind. It's so tough staying motivated and you're right, it's the little things that add up to success. Thank you for posting this video. Its greatly appreciated ☺️
This was so helpful! I have to say that when I came across your videos several months back it helped me stay motivated and helped me stay on track. I’m now down 65 and started a new job a week and a half ago after being at home the last 3 years. I feel so good after losing the weight but the last two weeks of changing my schedule has my life turned upside down and out of routine and made staying on track harder. Plus the lovely super hot weather, lack of time to fit in my workouts. I love all these ideas to help me focus and get right back on track but mostly I love that you said one day is not going to throw all this progress out the window. SO TRUE! And neither is my bad week. I’ve come so far and feel so much healthier! No way I’m throwing it away now. Time to hunker down and get back at it!! Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. You are changing lives!
Thank you, Nikki, for this very encouraging message. Weight loss and maintaining a weight loss, takes work, and a lifestyle change to be successful. You are a role model of how to work for balance with eating and exercising.
I usually am meticulous about meal prepping in individual containers but my mom is stuck in bed so I've been SWAMPED trying to take care of her and the house/pets, so I cooked some chicken breasts in the crockpot, made a big pot of rice that I just put in a big bowl in the fridge that I just left a measuring cup in, and am allowing myself as much steamed greenbeans or broccoli as I want with the portioned out chicken and rice. A little bit boring but at least I'm getting quick nutritious food in!
Thank you so much for this. I quit smoking in January then lost my dad in March (today is his birthday) and I gained weight because I couldn't smoke my grief away. I sort of expected weight to melt off since I have so much to lose but it's not, so hearing little to no loss is okay makes me feel so much better.
I think one problem many many people are facing these days, especially the younger generations is that people with ADHD (which is SO common now) lack the reward feedback normal people get when they accomplish things. Their brain chemistry just isnt the same and so they don't get nearly the same satisfaction from doing anything, since they dont get the dopamine boost. They then just think Whats wrong with me that I cant just do this and get easily discouraged and it is just so much harder for them to star motivated. Love the video tho as always, just wanted to add this comment for people who are struggling with this, because not everybody knows about all the effects. Thanks so much for all you do, you are my favorite youtuber by far. :)
I've been losing and gaining the same 80 pounds for 35 years. I need balance too! If the young me had just stuck to the WW lifestyle of getting back on track whenever I messed up, I would not be in the process of losing weight because I have to, to improve my terrible health. Thanks for your positive message!
Loved this video. You said something on here that will stay with me forever...."to be thankful to your body for allowing yourself to do a particular activity". I never thought about it that way. So many people wish they could do certain things and can't. If you're able to, count your blessings. Thank you for another positive, motivating video.
Once again, you post one of these motivational videos right when I need it most. Thank you! One thing that helps me with weighing in is doing it every day or every couple of days and tracking. Then the movement becomes less shocking. And it's easier to see that, yes, today it went up, but the overall trend is down. :)
Thank you for this! You originally were the one that influenced me to stick with a weight loss journey. I’m down 42 lbs! However I’ve been struggling a lot this month to stick to my plan. But this was definitely helpful. Thank you so much for everything!
Garage sales can also be good clothing sources. When I had weight loss surgery I did garage sales. You never know how long you will be at a certain size! 😊
Thank you! I have been at a plateau for about the last four weeks which is really to be expected since I am at a point where I need to add in exercise. I took your approach of focusing on my food first but now it's time to add in an exercise program. Thank you for being consistent in putting out videos. Thank you for being consistent and supporting us through our journey!
Thanks for the motivation! I’m also maintaining and some days it’s really difficult. Your tips do come in handy! I just keep reminding my self this is a lifestyle and nothing is off limits if I count it!
Thank you so much Nikki, your videos help me so much!! The ideas of making non-food rewards & enjoyable exercise activities are game changers for me. Thank you, I love your channel!! 💯❤🙏
It's about having a good doctor too a lot of years they said this is high that's high and they said it's okay and then not until I got this new doctor did I notice that there are people out there that listen to what you say trying to make you better I didn't know until this week it's not always about a pound sometimes it's about you get your blood work and it can show improvements there so it's not always about the scale and I'm like oh I never knew that.
Thank you, so so much, Nikki for making this video. If i could have pressed the like button multiple times I would have! Thank you for all your videos, you are so encouraging and wonderful xx
Another good place is garage sales. When I had weight loss surgery I bought things at a garage sale. You never know how long you will be at a certain size. 😊
Thank you for this video, it’s motivating me! I’m that type all or nothing! I’m back on track now. I will buy your cookbook. I like simple cooking lol. Hubby and I do go Iceskating, it’s something we both enjoy!
Hi Nikki, I love your videos. I really appreciate you describing everything you do as I am totally blind. I do have a question though sometimes when you were talking about things that you’re making you’ll say something has so many points, but you’re only using only a certain amount of that ingredient how are you measuring that? Are you using a food scale or are you using a measuring cup? Hope you don’t mind my asking and I hope to hear from you. Thank you.
