To be onest I have got my own MK3 Interface dongle because when you want to update sw and if this operation require reboot or switch off/on the battery you surely need a cable i.e. a physical interface like MK3.
This video tutorial is very well made and clear so extremely useful for beginners.
A special thanks to BluePower Pro.

Yeah cable is and always will be more reliable than remote. Same applies to any network, such as your router - WIFI internet vs ethernet internet. Ethernet is direct and less chance of interference.
Remote settings can be more convenient as you don't have to drive to site if you do installations for clients, but as we know, some settings require reboots, which can cause the client to unexpectedly loose power when the inverter shuts down, or worse, if their internet is connected to the inverter that is now rebooting, you loose your remote connection to it and hopefully it comes back online lol.

I have got an Inverter/Charger MultiPlus-II GX so I don't need MK3 interface from VE.Bus to USB port of my PC.
In fact, my inverter generates his one wi-fi Network so is very simple to connect any pc to this network then configure the entire system. .

It's all fine and professional, but what really bothers me is the missing D from the word "hardware" in the thumbnail...

Haha, yes indeed - it would bother me too :) Thanks for pointing that out. All fixed!
