Good fish. And great net job! I also like how clean your boat is from that angle.

Just being in the right place at the right time. Lots of luck involved.

That was a good looking fish. Always look forward to your videos. You put out a lot of good information and fun to watch. I pretty much live for salmon fishing.
I need to try the 3.5 spinners a little more. I have never really given them a fair chance. Here on the Sacramento I mostly use cut plugs or sometimes Silvertron Spinners. I have had a pretty good season so far down here for what was supposed to be slow. They cut us down to a 1 fish limit. I took a couple weeks off and went salmon fishing 10 days. I have managed to get fish the last 9 in a row something I don't remember ever doing. Have tomorrow off so will probably head out again.

Steve, it sound like you're in a good rhythm. Keep up the good work and don't change what you're doing. At some point when they let you keep two fish you should break out a pro troll/3.5 spinner and give it a try. They are highly effective. Tight lines.

David, you keep picking better looking partners.... ;-) She knew to pick up the slack basket, but she wasn't about to LONG ARM the handle... LOL... I thought you might have to hoist the " HAWG " into the boat by yourself. Hahahahahaha... Tight Lines My Friend.

That's funny. I coached her through netting but she took me very literal when I said, "I'm going to bring the fish into the net". A little reach with the net would have helped but for a rookie, she got it done. I always tell people on my boat it's the guy fighting the fish that's responsible for bringing it to the net. Hope you are well.

I'm under the weather, from a cold. However I always have time to laugh at the " LITERALLY " instructions.... LOL...

Nice fish. Went out this weekend and hit 4 different bays and nothing anywhere. Consensus is it’s a terrible year, so good job! Like I said before, you don’t pick upon fish, you’re too consistent for that my friend.

Thank you, Nic. I'm just putting my time in like everybody else and if I'm lucky enough to pass over a biter, it makes my day. Tight lines my friend.

I haven't used that breakaway set up on the pro troll. Is it really necessary? Nice fish!

Mark, I think it's worth using the break away systems. You can feel the reduction in drag when you fight a fish and it reduces the pressure on the hooks too. Otherwise, you've got rotation and extra pressure on the hooks.
