- The world-renowned Pacific Coast Spring Chinook Salmon is a worthwhile treat, although a difficult one to find and catch. In this video, Big Dave Manners talks with Nick Amato and trolls around a coastal bay fishing for salmon.
The primary technique is trolling 360 flashers (Super Series by Shortbus) with either the new Yakima Bait Spinfish, or using bladed spinners. Using the Spinfish ends up being the winning ticket for two bites, and one landed chrome springer.
Grinding it out and trolling hard through the tide change was necessary to finally get one in the box. Please subscribe for more videos!

Well done Dave!! Nice to see Tilly Springers do exist!! I'm gonna have to start breaking out my Spin Fish, and give 'em a swim!!
It can be tough but always worth it when you get one! The Spin Fish are easy to use and get bit - you can keep it swimming all day.
Well ones always better then none. Good fishing guys👍
True that! Thanks Ian
Nice... I use to love break away flashers... until I realized how many fish I was missing by a premature breakaways... fish on!!
Fish with Big Dave a couple weeks ago had great time lost one at the boat I think he needs a longer net LOL
I really need to go fishing!
I want to fish with big dave some day
Best fisherman in the northwest
Big Dave I caught a32lbder in the SAndbar hole on the trash back in the mid 60,s and my brother caught a 17 lbner, tight lines sir
So, was it the . . . tuna, the sardine, the herring, the sandshrimp, anchovy, prawn or all of it in the lure like goulash? Spinfish is a winner. Fun video guys.
If I remember right when filming, it was the one with Sandshrimp eggs in it + the other baitfish. - Lucas
Haha either way it worked!
you are lucky we have not had a season here on the Clearwater in Idaho in 2 years
