I got pissed off as Battania when I single-handedly captured all 3 imperial emperors and their top retainers, and the ENTIRETY of the Assyria nobleman, and was lugging them around defending 4 fronts, and then Sturgia and Vlandia declared war and proceed, with a combined force of 8000, proceeded to annihilate my battanian forces that numbered in the low 20 thousands. I had literally 2.2x the numerical advantage in AI units, and my AI could not win a single fight against the two smallest kingdoms whose territories were relegated to 1-2 towns and half a dozen castles in total. Meanwhile I single-handedly defeated the 4 strongest simultaneously, whose territory amounted to approximately 50% of the map. I got so mad, I decided to besiege the last Vlandian town while the homie Ergeon (only useful army AI leader) besieged the last town. At the enemy gates, I had all 4 emperors in my possession executed, alongside the remaining nobles who hadn’t managed to escape. In total,I beheaded 43 nobles in one afternoon. I don’t know if you covered this or not but; if you join an imperial faction with the dragon banner and support istinia, if you join another faction (I joined a different imperial faction so not sure if it works for all of them) and Arzagos gets enough conspiracy, they will declare war on the first imperial faction you joined, meaning the second one you joined will not be at war with everyone else
But once you give the Dragon Banner away you cannot get it back from that faction, so you would fail the main quest unless you rejoined the original faction, should that original faction get wiped out... But if you don't care about the main story you can apply the curse of the dragon banter as you see fit!
THANK YOU!!!! I gave it to Battannia. Then, after a while, all Empire were attacking me and I could not make peace. It ruined my game. I wish I saw this video before. Thanks man! Much appreciated.
You need to be careful doing this as if you loose track of the days you can bug your game out and the quest fails and then you cant complete the story / campaign as the empire will get stuck on one last army that never gives up or surrenders even if you kill the leader multiple times
What if you/I as the player completely ignore the main quest from the start & never build the banner? (Of course after doing the initial “build your clan” portion that is required.) Should be fine then right? I mean I would fail the main quest but otherwise the game would be unaffected.? (I basically only play campaign mode over sandbox for the extra siblings at the start, but I don’t care about the main quest whatsoever.) Or would it still bug my game somehow?
I like how taleworlds creates a game with a complex backstory and character development. Then they decide to name one of the most important pieces of equipment in the game as simply "the dragon banner"
Better collect your data soon became TaleWorlds plans on diving deep into the voice acting, giving unique accents for each faction, unique trait influenced accents, etc etc etc
Funny thing, I accidentally gave the banner to Northern Empire as a vassal, then left them. The quest stayed locked on them and I never had to deal with them again.
I did nothing to prevent Istana’s plan, we are at day 2001 of war, I have 32 towns and 40 castles to their 10 towns and 4 castles, the Battanians and Vlandians work for me now (I bought lots of clans), despite their joint efforts and consolidation, we are at 37470 strength to their 9115… with the Aserai placing second at 6515 strength (I’m also at 37.5k influence)
The conspiracy thing is really annoying. Especially if you do it early and then you have to fight 3 kingdoms while stupid AI would rather patrol a village than deffend a city...
At least they’re defending something. Garios gets an army of the entire faction then goes back and forth glitching out, not figuring out which city he wants to fucking attack, meanwhile some retard with 2 recruits and a lollipop is taking a castle next to his 2000 sized army and he does nothing
man these videos are epic! and true i gave played the quest pretty early and gave the banner to vlandia as soon as possible.... i am pretty swarmed all the time but valandia is managing it and we are gonna win! but it is just hard to balance to stop the conspiracy and do all the waring at the sametime next palythrough i wont be so hasty
tip before building/join kingdom u can claim city without join/make kingdom just wait for rebel city and attack them and take city after the rebel clan wil get destroy and they are not strong at all at this moment im on 600days left got 3mil and 5 city and clan tier 6 , 2 days play time of my save without join/build kingdom and i gave allot of money to noble to build to build relation with those clans so they can join me later when i make my own kingdom merry your sons/brothers off to high lvl lady they wil join your clans if she not queen of faction use lady to make them governor of city u took and respec them for governor perks dont merry your daughter off u wil lose your daughter use them for governor role or caraven/party before building kingdom build your party and your other companion party to max, so u can put them in army after join/building kingdom make sure u got soms other clan to 100 relation before making your kingdom so u can invite them to join your kingdom gave them city so they get money to make party and def your kingdom the more clans u invite the easy it become to def your city in your kingdom just after starting your kingdom make sure to get best policies before invite other clan to your kingdom use your time to build your companion put them into party more u have better tournament rewards like tier 6 stuff use tournament tier 6 rewards to gear your companion to make them stronger gear out your governor to make stronger so they can win tournament in there city and gave jouw reward/gear/money
Yes, I do the same, had 8 cities before needing to talk to Istiana, but they were all over the map. Be aware of speed bonuses. It can work. I purchase the best armor I can for combatants. Get workshops in your towns.
My experience seems different. I got a quest to unite the empire after assembling the banner requiring i get 13 settlements, so i completed that and then the conspiracy quest auto failed and 3 kingdoms declared war with me but you can't make peace with them!? You have to win enough of their territory to force them to ask for peace. You also can't recruit their lords whilst they refuse peace so it's super tough to grow any more.
Yup. For whatever reason the devs thought it would be a great idea to be forced to fight 3 factions who are at full strength at once. U have to take about 5-6 fiefs from each faction & hold your own to be able to force them into peace. That's at least 15 fiefs total. Pretty stupid..I'm done with that part & I reunited the entire empire but the game has gotten only harder as I have been at war with 3 to 4 factions since reuniting the empire. I have not declared war on anyone not 1 time in this game & I have never had a period of peace. This game is wildly different from warband in that regard. I can't do outside quests, recruit new lords, etc bcuz I'm always at war with the entire calradia
I'm in the exact same boat. I had to scum save to blitz Khuzait out of action. It got easier after that and now I'm doing it the old fashioned way against Aserai.
@Sgt Nitro The Khuzaits declared war on me 4 additional times since reuniting the empire. After the 3rd time I decided I'd finish them off. The Aseri & the Sturgians declared war on me shortly after. The AI was surprisingly holding their own defensively against the Sturgians but the Aseri was quickly wiping out any progress I made in their territory by taking every fief that I took from them back. For whatever reason, the AI was creating armies & going on the offensive in Sturgia, despite my strategy being defensive against them & offensive against the Khuzaits. I literally had to disband several armies & make them join my party. Once they all did I released them then they created armies & started seiging Khuzaits turf which is precisely what I wanted from the beginning. By the time I got to the last 2 fiefs, the Aseri had taken back all but 1 fief that I held from them & they were still at full strength. I finished the Khuzaits off just before the Aseri besieged a imperial town on the border. I was able to get over there & defeat them in time. Long story short, many game months have passed & the Khuzaits have been without any fiefs but they're somehow still around with 2k men. I have 0 control over who I declared war on bcuz I don't have enough influence to overrule 22 lords who for whatever crazy reason, would want to go to war with another faction despite already being at war with 2 other factions & being at war for like 2 game yrs. To make things worst, somehow, the Khuzaits declared war on me & AUTOMATICALLY took control of a castle DEEP in imperial territory. First thing I thought was, maybe someone defected to them but every lord has more than 1 fiefs so I would've lost more than 1. Now they have 4200 men, high tiered troops & armies deep in my territory seemingly out of the blue when this faction should've been gone awhile ago. Then the Aseri declared war on me again. So here I am again at war with 4 factions lmao. I stopped playing after that. This game was created without any logic whatsoever
I'm in the same situation too, this part of the game is really hard and after I managed to defeat one of the 3 empire, the remaining settlement got annexed by one of the 2 others empire, they had like 25~ faction but dropped to 15~ rn but since they had so much faction, they could make a lot of big armies with 1k mens each and even if I would tried to destroy them, enough of other imprisoned leader would break free, and PS you could have recruited factions member of the empire but only if they had no settlement and had a neutral opinion with their emperor. Rn I think I'm on something and might be able to push the empire way back to Vlandia but I'm kinda scared of Vlandia since they are pretty much as strong as me (12000 pwr) and empire got 8000+7000 pwr too. I might have some issues to push them back because Azeri just declared war to me and they got 9k pwr and I can't just hold a 3 front war from the north the West and the south. I can't just control my kingdom and decide to just declare peace when I have to spend 2400 influence to force it and I kinda feel I'm in a loop like the other guy, when I conquer a settlement I can't rest and they already took it back, my mens don't want to defend it... Well
Wait so you just made a 26 minute video explaining "What to do BEFORE the conspiracy" and answered it with : prepare, watch another video well played, nice troll
I had crused and retaken land from 2 out of 3 Empiriel kingdom before the quest ended. The 3 had only 2 places left. - So I skipped all the quests inbetween.
Wait This CAME OUT AS I WAS DOING THIS QUEST!!! Oh my god thanks a million brother, not only did you put timestamps you are also legit funny , BATTLE BROTHERS Glad i found your channel brother
Wow! it all makes so much sense now .... my first time playing and I gave the banner to battania , became a vassal, had 3 smaller fiefs under my control... life was good ... UNTIL Vlanida, the southern empire, and the northern empire all declared war on battania at the same time and eventually widdled us down to nothing. Started a new save file and plan to hang onto my banner this time lol
At this point in the game, only one kingdom went to war against me, and that was the kingdom I was a vassal to. When I declared that my clan was it's own kingdom, nobody cared. All the other kingdoms were busy warring against each other. Even after that, only one kingdom at a time as ever declared war on me. Maybe I've just been lucky. As a vessel, they voted me 5 towns and 10 castles before I left and took it all with me. Also, I was releasing nobles after battle to gain favor.
Damn I run straight into that "quest" trap. Honestly the worst ques design I´ve ever seen myself in a game. If I had known that Vlandia just steamrolls literally *everything* I´d have given the damn banner to them. xD
I chose Vlandia and I’m running into the same issue. We have a large portion of the map, and the sturgians and northern empire have all but disappeared. But now I’m in a constant state of war and it’s impossible to progress. I wish I would have waited til I was tier 5 with a few million coin before I really jumped in. May have to restart now.
I seemingly got soft locked in trying to assemble the dragon banner and start my own kingdom. I had an Imperial town and castle but the game said I wasn't Imperial enough to start a new empire. So then I got rid of my holdings and took a town and castle from the Battanians but the game said I was too Imperial to start a non-Imperial kingdom. Sandbox mode is much better and doesn't give you the same hassle. As far as I can tell, the only advantage to campaign mode is that you get guaranteed a few family members for your clan.
Yeah, you have to be very prepared BEFORE handing the banner or using it. A big mistake I made was even though I was vassal in a kingdom, I handed over the banner to the king very early. My character was not ready in terms of resources, clan tier, army size, etc. Dealing with the conspirator armies and hideouts weren't the issue. It's the pressure of war from multiple factions all ganging up. I was doing this being vassal in one of the Imperial factions. I imagine this would be a lot harder as your own independent kingdom before you were truly prepared and powerful.
I beat the curse of the dragon banner. Gave it to Battania early on and ended up in a never ending war with the empire. Eventually got it to just the northern empire an came out on top after about 1800 days of continuous war
My favorite thing to do is take everything HIgh King Caladog owns. His land, his people, his Vassals, and his title. Then watch him squander in a prison of his own creation. 😆
WARNING!!! I had the dragon banner in my possession for a decade or more in game but didn’t turn in the quest thinking I could avoid the conspiracy altogether. At about 20 days left I talked to Istiana and then gave the banner over to Garios with 17/12 imperial settlements under our control. As expected it instantly completed the quest but it also unexpectedly and instantly failed the conspiracy quest putting our kingdom in a perpetual state of war with no end in sight thereby ruining my end game
@@Cowboys777 I would recommend completing the quest with 1 less settlement under your control than necessary. I’m not certain but that would be my best guess

Man I remember the first time I made captured a castle and done this quest, just to have the whole world declare war on my naive ass in 10 mins. Needless to say, a new game quickly followed xD
I believe nothing happens if you just don’t build the banner at all. You fail the quest & don’t have the deal with the stupid conspiracy & can go conquer in peace

Regarding Workshops, I bought my first one, a brewery in Phycaon(?), which is surrounded by grain villages and had plenty of grain in the city, but it's making zero cash. Is this bugged? What's up with workshops as at the moment I've just sunk 20k into something that just costs me money.
If there are breweries in the area selling cheaper beer, yours won’t sell. Two options, micro manage yours, buy grain cheap, sell it to the town your brewer is in and buy some beer, initially at a loss but you can sell it for profit. Or buy the competition, change it to a tannery or something useful or just change it and sell it, eventually you’ll make a profit. Best bet buy one free from competition in the first place, good luck fellow brewer.
Yeah workshops suck right now, even when you pick the best spot for one and you have a monopoly on what's being produced, they don't seem to make much money. On top of that, they can be destroyed if the settlement is captured by a hostile faction. I just use Caravans first. They make tonnes of money consistently

First time I did this quest I joined the aserai; then got fed up by the conspiracy quests; And later the AI's kingdom management/diplomacy. I rebelled & took a town and just then the conspiracy quest failure kicked in... All the empire factions started a war against the aserai. The aserai had to stop abusing me with the empire on their both fronts. All of the annoyances averted; suddenly had a rebel kingdom with noone at war with. This happened in beta, dunno if it still works.
I have no idea if anyone is gunna see this but I’m at war with all three of the empires I’ve already defeated the western and northern. max riding and scout . both have a perk there with 50% less chance the lord can escape total of 100% . just keep on defending and collect all of their lords once you collect alot of lord conquering their kingdom is walk in the park , you can also ransom those lord at your own town and then take them again from the dungeon and them ransom them again .. keep repeating that over and over again

well i'm fucked, i'm independent and got 1 town 1 castle. have not yet declared myself as a kingdom. only reason i haven't is be cause when i do i lose my 10 ish prisoners who all are west empire lords (only kingdom i'm at war with atm), and then immediately and automatically declare war on them without my prisoners to bargain with for peace. i recently checked the price to bargain for peace, 1 coin. earlier it was 1,4m. but they are also at war with aserai and are losing a lot of castles to the aserai.
Ik this is an old video but I have a problem, I started a kingdom and became the most powerful and took the map over, I wanted to then leave that kingdom and start a new one to rebel against the old one (wanted to use my kingdom as a late game boss) but everytime I leave kingdom even when I start a new kingdom it still says I’m the leader of my old kingdom ? Is this just the devs not accounting for this so it just doesn’t work how I want it to ?

Good question broyher, I have the same exact question....
THANK YOU!!!! I gave it to Battannia. Then, after a while, all Empire were attacking me and I could not make peace. It ruined my game. I wish I saw this video before. Thanks man! Much appreciated.

@@rizzo9972 true haha
@@rizzo9972 Exactly what I did lol don't have to worry about them anymore
You need to be careful doing this as if you loose track of the days you can bug your game out and the quest fails and then you cant complete the story / campaign as the empire will get stuck on one last army that never gives up or surrenders even if you kill the leader multiple times
what if i dont complete the quest you think its gonna be bug soon im not strong enough to build empire
What if you/I as the player completely ignore the main quest from the start & never build the banner? (Of course after doing the initial “build your clan” portion that is required.)
Should be fine then right? I mean I would fail the main quest but otherwise the game would be unaffected.? (I basically only play campaign mode over sandbox for the extra siblings at the start, but I don’t care about the main quest whatsoever.)
Or would it still bug my game somehow?
I like how taleworlds creates a game with a complex backstory and character development. Then they decide to name one of the most important pieces of equipment in the game as simply "the dragon banner"
What ya mean? They simply took the idea from various other roman fantasy empires being associated with dragons. Lol. It's a trope.
And then make that banner a giant piece of shit its trash
What is the problem with the name? The bonus is trash sure, but the name is dope.
@@maelofohio6682 reminds me of WoT lol. Lews Therin screaming fades away...
Yep, "The Dragon Banner". Not much thought or meticulous efforts delved into making it a unique name.
That npc voice acting portfolio is going to be epic.
He should become an voice actor for an upcoming game
Better collect your data soon became TaleWorlds plans on diving deep into the voice acting, giving unique accents for each faction, unique trait influenced accents, etc etc etc

What the hell
Same but 6 months later
Funny thing, I accidentally gave the banner to Northern Empire as a vassal, then left them. The quest stayed locked on them and I never had to deal with them again.
Mate of I could press the like button more than once or harder than normal, I would. I love how you get right into it
I've been playing the game for like 2 weeks and everytime I need to find a location I did not know you could track it thank you for teaching me that
I did nothing to prevent Istana’s plan, we are at day 2001 of war, I have 32 towns and 40 castles to their 10 towns and 4 castles, the Battanians and Vlandians work for me now (I bought lots of clans), despite their joint efforts and consolidation, we are at 37470 strength to their 9115… with the Aserai placing second at 6515 strength (I’m also at 37.5k influence)
How tf did you manage this? Did it take forever? Or did you do a lot of prepping before handing over the banner/making a kingdom?
The conspiracy thing is really annoying. Especially if you do it early and then you have to fight 3 kingdoms while stupid AI would rather patrol a village than deffend a city...
At least they’re defending something. Garios gets an army of the entire faction then goes back and forth glitching out, not figuring out which city he wants to fucking attack, meanwhile some retard with 2 recruits and a lollipop is taking a castle next to his 2000 sized army and he does nothing
Yes. One of these everyday would make my weeks a lot better
So glad you dropped this, just finished the last video. Playing the game too, thanks Danny.

man these videos are epic! and true i gave played the quest pretty early and gave the banner to vlandia as soon as possible.... i am pretty swarmed all the time but valandia is managing it and we are gonna win! but it is just hard to balance to stop the conspiracy and do all the waring at the sametime next palythrough i wont be so hasty
just randomly got here but im absolutely loving the way you're explaining stuff got quite a good laugh watching this video
tip before building/join kingdom
u can claim city without join/make kingdom
just wait for rebel city and attack them and take city
after the rebel clan wil get destroy and they are not strong at all
at this moment im on 600days left got 3mil and 5 city and clan tier 6 , 2 days play time of my save without join/build kingdom
and i gave allot of money to noble to build to build relation with those clans
so they can join me later when i make my own kingdom
merry your sons/brothers off to high lvl lady they wil join your clans if she not queen of faction
use lady to make them governor of city u took and respec them for governor perks
dont merry your daughter off u wil lose your daughter use them for governor role or caraven/party
before building kingdom build your party and your other companion party to max, so u can put them in army after join/building kingdom
make sure u got soms other clan to 100 relation before making your kingdom
so u can invite them to join your kingdom gave them city so they get money to make party and def your kingdom
the more clans u invite the easy it become to def your city in your kingdom
just after starting your kingdom make sure to get best policies before invite other clan to your kingdom
use your time to build your companion put them into party more u have better tournament rewards like tier 6 stuff
use tournament tier 6 rewards to gear your companion to make them stronger
gear out your governor to make stronger so they can win tournament in there city and gave jouw reward/gear/money
My man you're a fucking genius
Yes, I do the same, had 8 cities before needing to talk to Istiana, but they were all over the map. Be aware of speed bonuses. It can work. I purchase the best armor I can for combatants. Get workshops in your towns.
Love your videos battle brother! Keep them coming!
You also can't recruit their lords whilst they refuse peace so it's super tough to grow any more.
this is the game loop im stuck in now, just going around in circles without a powerful enough army to compete.
Well
Wait so you just made a 26 minute video explaining "What to do BEFORE the conspiracy" and answered it with : prepare, watch another video

I had no Idea this game was on ESO'd radar, I been playing it for years I didn't realize it had gotten so popular
I had crused and retaken land from 2 out of 3 Empiriel kingdom before the quest ended. The 3 had only 2 places left.
- So I skipped all the quests inbetween.
That final grunt.
Wait This CAME OUT AS I WAS DOING THIS QUEST!!!
Oh my god thanks a million brother, not only did you put timestamps you are also legit funny , BATTLE BROTHERS
Glad i found your channel brother
Wow! it all makes so much sense now .... my first time playing and I gave the banner to battania , became a vassal, had 3 smaller fiefs under my control... life was good ... UNTIL Vlanida, the southern empire, and the northern empire all declared war on battania at the same time and eventually widdled us down to nothing. Started a new save file and plan to hang onto my banner this time lol
Or just don’t even build it
At this point in the game, only one kingdom went to war against me, and that was the kingdom I was a vassal to.
Danny’s dancing during the dragon banner scene was peak content
Damn I run straight into that "quest" trap. Honestly the worst ques design I´ve ever seen myself in a game.
If I had known that Vlandia just steamrolls literally *everything* I´d have given the damn banner to them. xD
I chose Vlandia and I’m running into the same issue. We have a large portion of the map, and the sturgians and northern empire have all but disappeared. But now I’m in a constant state of war and it’s impossible to progress. I wish I would have waited til I was tier 5 with a few million coin before I really jumped in. May have to restart now.
Considering that they eventually become the Swadians and Rhodoks, it's Not surprising that they would be designed to take a lot of land very quickly
I wish I knew that earlier, I bought this game a week ago and I'm struggling with it.
Not gonna lie it was the "Battle Sisters!" That got it for me
I seemingly got soft locked in trying to assemble the dragon banner and start my own kingdom.
Vengeance is sweet.
Eventually got it to just the northern empire an came out on top after about 1800 days of continuous war
bro i expired the quest (create imperial faction ) is that okay ?>

My favorite thing to do is take everything HIgh King Caladog owns. His land, his people, his Vassals, and his title. Then watch him squander in a prison of his own creation. 😆
"Why are you covered in blood"
He asks, an ex-spymaster and likely assassin. Why? Well, 'groceries' obviously.
Okay I'm actually putting it off because it doesn't interest me... but when you said it's a curse, now I'm intrigued.
Sorry you've had to endure, this unfortunate nonsense.
How to avoid this?
@@Cowboys777 I would recommend completing the quest with 1 less settlement under your control than necessary. I’m not certain but that would be my best guess
Why not just reload the save and not give away the banner? Or did you want the cutscene?

Regarding Workshops, I bought my first one, a brewery in Phycaon(?), which is surrounded by grain villages and had plenty of grain in the city, but it's making zero cash. Is this bugged? What's up with workshops as at the moment I've just sunk 20k into something that just costs me money.
Check if there are breweries nearby
@@TheBeaconsAreLit98 I have workshops but I just don't care anymore if they make money they do if not ok they nerfed them way too much now they useless and then caravans they good but also so random sometimes they make so much but most of the time they make as much as workshops imagine that everything but smithing got nerfed smithing can still make u millions whit just sitting in a settlement that's just boring they should just up the profits of caravans and workshops by 50%
@@walterlaten7662 Yeah I agree with you dude, I honestly find the best way to make money right now is to get your smithing up and just forge high quality 2 Handed Swords. They can sell for like 50k a piece.
This is why I stopped doing the campaign and switched to Sandbox. I have more fun playing now.
And I’m stuck for an Insane amount of hours attacking the same castles over and over again as the second I siege one they siege it again. over and over it’s been over 500 in game days and I’ve made little to no progress. Idk what to do
max riding and scout . both have a perk there with 50% less chance the lord can escape total of 100% . just keep on defending and collect all of their lords once you collect alot of lord conquering their kingdom is walk in the park , you can also ransom those lord at your own town and then take them again from the dungeon and them ransom them again .. keep repeating that over and over again
the yugi yo refence is crazy
Broooo this banner is such a waste
5% dmg to mounted troops for the legendarny banner?
Bro really
It could be so awesome and with plot if settlements owned/governed get no -3 loyalty debuff for wrong culter
Or just have all stats of other banner on tier 1 or 3

Yes, should be done automaticaly when you speak with Istiana or Arzagos

bruh I had no idea AI can execute as we
I got to clan tier 4. Started a kingdom, expanded, gained like 10 cities and 20 castles. Then went to do the dragon quest and realised i had to give up and leave my kingdom i was king of to continue the quest since you have to be a indeoendent clan
I'm at that point now. To leave my kingdom is the only way?

Anyone else get skull f*cked by the conspiracy
dude you are a legend
well i'm fucked, i'm independent and got 1 town 1 castle. have not yet declared myself as a kingdom. only reason i haven't is be cause when i do i lose my 10 ish prisoners who all are west empire lords (only kingdom i'm at war with atm), and then immediately and automatically declare war on them without my prisoners to bargain with for peace. i recently checked the price to bargain for peace, 1 coin. earlier it was 1,4m. but they are also at war with aserai and are losing a lot of castles to the aserai.
Soooo I happened to have the hideouts revealed but haven't gotten the pieces yet. I joined Vlandain due to location and recently Derthert died somehow (missed it) and I was voted the leader......what the hell do i do now? Give it to myself? Lol
