Nice one, I started many moons ago doing coopers kits here in the uk and to be fair if i need a keg filler if I'm pushed for time ill do one with some extra hops ( ipa ) cheers 👍🍻
@@jaysbeerchannel5873 it's going well and becoming a bit obsessed. With the lockdown where i live in Yorkshire, brew days give my wife a break from me 😂
I can't bring myself to use a chux wipe for anything other than cleaning, ive seen how easily the colouring comes out of them and God knows what that's made of. My coopers hazy ROTM is just finishing up in the fermenter right now and will be kegged Saturday morning. I didn't want the high ABV either so I just added more water at the start
Thanks mate. How much water did you add? Are you going to bottle the extra beer or do you have bigger kegs? The colour comes out of chux wipes due to the cleaning chemicals dissolving or bleaching the dye (handy andy (ammonia) dissolves, domestos (sodium hypochlorite( bleaches)). I've used chux wipes for years for grains and dry hopping and the colour never runs.
@@jaysbeerchannel5873 i added 1.5L extra. I worry about the chux because alcohol is a solvent and even though beer is pretty low in alcohol I still don't like the idea.
Hi Jay, as always awesome videos mate. Just wondering where you got the kit from? In your comments it says everything was included except the water but the only pack I can find says you need to add hops, grain etc..
Hi Patty, I got the pack when coopers made it their Recipe of the Month so everything is included. A quick look at the coopers site today (18 January 2021) is showing a Kveik IPA. Coopers may or may not bring the hazy pale ale recipe back?
The Chux is a good hack. Interesting video as always.
Cheers mate.

Great to hear from a fellow brewer. Gotta love those IPAs!
Great video, look forward to the tasting. I'm keen to know the result
Cheers mate. How’s your brewing going?

@@thebackyardbrewer5611 Cheers. No need to worry about the dye dissolving. I have done it for years without issue.
