Thanks for visiting the Freshcutky organic gardening channel. In the garden, I will answer some of the most common "gardening for beginners" type questions I get, including growing flowers from seed. Growing greens, growing flowers, and planting beautiful organic food is something I'm really passionate about. Thank you for joining me as I learn to grow flowers, cut flowers, vegetables, and much more. Freshcutky youtube channel and related media are for entertainment purposes only.
Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.

What is "@freshcutky"?
@freshcutky documents the pursuit of my goal of one day owning my own cut flower farm. Along the way, you'll see random projects, cooking, and of course - growing stuff. I'm not an expert, and would never claim to be. There's always more to learn - this is my journey. The purpose of my blog, and other social media accounts (including RUclips) is to share ideas. I do my best to offer information that is useful, but reliance on that information is strictly at your own risk and NOT a substitute for professional advice of any kind. I do not create sponsored content or use affiliate links unless they have been explicitly stated above.
This was a delightful video. You gave useful information for people who are ready to shop!
That bee was losing its tiny mind!!! I better get some 🤓
breaks my heart you don't feel safe in your own yard. praying you find a safe place. The peonies are beautiful. mine are just starting to bud here in NH
I thought the same thing!
Love these types of videos from you! Time stamped, well-reviewed, beautiful shots of your flowers!
I’m a Virginian and pronounce “peony” the way you do so you’re not alone! 💗
You’re so smart. I had a jewelry show a while back and I swear every one who I talked to corrected me on how I said peony. I would “correct” myself and would say “ pee-a-nee” for the next person and would correct me and say “pee-o-nee”. So I would change it back to “pee-o-nee” for the next person and would correct me. After that I decided it’s “pee-o-nee” for me and I don’t care what anyone says. Thank you for all the inspiration. Because of you I did low tunnels this late winter early spring and it worked out beautifully! 🥰
I forgot a couple of “ theys “ in my comment. 😂😬
Tomato tomahto
Just love your videos
I love peonies
I’m just starting to get different colors
Ty for sharing
As usual-
SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Bridal shower is gorgeous! Sorbet too! Classics are classic for a reason. ❤️😍
Great collection of peonies! Added a few from your video to my wishlist. Thank you for sharing 🌸
Wow! I love your garden Such a great inspiration to me as I am just starting garden season where I live. I can see you put a lot of work and love into growing! It’s the start of my 3 year gardening but there is still so much to learn and I appreciate your tips, tricks and visual presentation. I look forward to learning more from each other as we grow!
You are such a talented gardener!
Absolutely lovely!❤️🌸❤️
Some of these peonies I hadn’t seen before. Glad you got so many first year blooms.
They look wonderful.
Beautiful collections!!
Where do you buy your peonies??
I want to start with roots.
Thank you so much!
Peonies are gorgeous. I live close to Adelmans, and it's a vision of beauty to drive past and see the fields of flowers. Bowl of Beauty is the variety I used to have. A soft pink with butter yellow petalettes. Your white variety that bloomed the first year is gorgeous
Beautiful!! 😍
So cool! Thanks!
So beautiful. I only have one so its nice to see yours.
I love them! 😍Recently I’ve been getting more into Itoh peonies and tree peonies. I want all three types in different areas of my landscape. I’ve been breathing in and just staring at the Bartzella over the past few days, especially since all-yellow peonies are rare. Anyway, love the video, I hope you’re doing well.
Good night!BACKYADR, Enjoyed!you did unreal content- farewell.=)
Per usual, beautiful peonies. I pronounce peony the same as you 😂
I say it the same way!
Just a heads up on real estate-
I've heard other YT channels saying, "The market is softening..."
Meaning selling is slowing down.
THEN-
My good friend's adult children, she has 3 boys who ALL work for the same agency, they work in the real estate field for commercial ventures. AND
Their company is laying off large groups of people every 2 weeks bcuz biz is SO slow.
Which is a bummer for my friend's boys (and one of the 3 has already been laid off).
But-
Maybe that is a good sign for YOU - the buyer?
Granted, you're in a different state, but you know how things like that trickle down into every place.
So perhaps YOUR NEW PLACE to live will be showing itself to you in the very near future?
Let's hope!! 🤞 🤞 🤞
Right there with ya, I'm on the in Maryland, and I say peony same as you, as my mother did too. After all it's not spelled...pe"a"ny, I pronounce the o. Are you looking to stay in KY.? Maryland is a really nice state =^)
I love all of them! how do you deal with the ants when trying to put together bouquets? Do you dip them in a pot of water?
If you sprinkle unflavored, used coffee grounds around the base of the plant you’ll have a lot less ants to worry about, they will vacate the area.
These are SO beautiful. Can you tell us where you like to purchase your peonies from?
Wholesale for small growers on Facebook 🌱
Thank you - I feel like I missed their sale, did they have one recently? I bought a box back in the fall but not sure if they have pre-orders now, or had them already.
🤣🤣🤣 the intro sassy disclaimer
Do you know if peonies can be grown in Houston, Texas where it's very hot and humid in the summers?
I think most peony growers would say no, but I would disagree. I’m in Greenville SC, 8a, and it’s almost as hot and humid here, and they thrive. I would just give them more shade where you are, and keep them well watered while they are getting established. You never know until you try!
You go for not changing for strangers! I liked that comment ❤️ Does it take peonies a couple years to bloom? I didn't read anywhere that they won't bloom right away, so I didn't know. I have 4 peonies and this is their 2nd year in the ground and no blooms yet... 😓 I planted them at the right depth, do that's not it...
Why don't you feel safe in your yard?
She's talked before about living in a rough neighborhood.
@@ambethk77 thanks!
