If you buy the PPE 3.0 Duramax intercooler kit don’t get this part as a mini resonator delete is part of the intercooler kit. My intercooler has been in a few days and seems to be an improvement heavy towing.
I swapped mine out, along with adding an S&B intake. It sounds so good! both paired, i didnt see any real gains at first, but i think the computer had to make adjustments over time because i feel some difference now.
Spend your money how you want, but these are a real waste of money, these and the silicon turbo hose kits. They aren't any bigger diameter, they don't flow more, its a pressurized side of the turbo so a "stiffer hose" isn't really benefitting you any. It's just a shiny noise maker. There's a video on here of a guy doing this and the silicon hose swap and a K&N filter change and posted his results, 300 bucks worth of bolt ons for a half a tenth a second of gain (and that gain could have been due to the ambient weather that day). Also beware of some of the computer kits like AG Diesel, they state 40 hp gain, but that's because the "stock" setting actually derates the original engine HP by about 10 (and makes your truck run like crap) so it's actually about a 30 hp gain. Still waiting patiently on Banks derringer.
Exactly. I’m hoping Banks comes out with a product line for the LZ0 because they’ll only release things that make engineering sense. They’ll be pricey, but will do what they claim.
That’s the next big mod for me… just need to do more research on it to see if it will benefit my driving pattern - I don’t tow much so not sure if I’ll do it
Only for $120. 😁A fool and his money had been parted. It is not an upgrade, but a downgrade. The vendor knows better than GM powertrain engineers? I have a 3.0 Duramax BTW.
I’ll grant you that it’s expensive for a straight metal pipe. That said, GM engineers engineered that part for quietness and price before performance. The possible performance gain is little, so the other 2 factors won out. Undistrubed air flow is always better for performance.
Oem's make a lot of choices and almost never is it anything more than costs, last just long enough to pass the tests, make the epa happy to pass emissions and suit the masses. That plastic part he replaced probably cost a penny and most people probably want the vehicle as quiet as possible. Making that part out of metal is easily a vastly more expensive part that wont fail like a plastic one will they can sell you at $150 after about 6 years.

Couldn’t tell a noice level difference on my end here.

Nice! Loving my S&B Intake - glad to hear the combo works well together.
No diferente waste of money
@@noly927 was it a waste?
@@joannyaldrete7485 it was worth the $100 to me - I’m seeing difference
Do the ppe intake tubes also.
Great video! Also liked the one with the S&B intake. That was a PITA! But your vid helped!
Intake was a PITA - to say the least! Ha
Intake install 10/10 do not recommend

Sounds kinda like LAR rolling down the road
Update video please.
Any fuel mileage increase? If so, what’s the improvement?
No improvement, i get 34 mpg on highway stock no bullshit after market parts. Stop wasting your money on crap that only looks good.
Any sound turbo improvement?
Did you notice any fuel economy improvements?
How much mpg are you getting? Truck does 34 highway, 24 city what better mpg are you looking for? Buy a prius. 55 mpg
Another want to be gain. @ 00.00% but 1000% feel it moment.
I got one but don’t know if I wanna put it on now. Would this void the warranty?
no its just removing a resonator. But dealer might try to scam you over it.
Putting air in your tires voids the warranty 😂
Next up new PPE intercooler. ….
That’s the next big mod for me… just need to do more research on it to see if it will benefit my driving pattern - I don’t tow much so not sure if I’ll do it
Next time just send me the $120 and get the same or better results.

False. Just watched a video where this was done along with ppe intake tubes. Stock intake. Ran several tenths quicker in 1/4 mile. Fool.

How is this a downgrade ?
