I just put the forged carbon intake pipe with the silicone air box pipe, an s&b hot side intercooler resonator delete and an AFE air filter on my 2024 Cadillac Escalade. Love the new idle sound, it sounds like a real diesel now and throttle response is better.
Man I hope they release these sooner than their eta date. I just bought a stillen air duct, k&n drop in filter, and ppe Intercooler pipe with silicone hoses. I won’t be installing any parts until I can get my hands on a ppe air intake pipe.
Just installed mine this weekend from an early preorder. Easy install, fits perfect, sounds great. Seems a little better on torque, I noticed 1 mpg gain immediately from the vehicle computer on easy driving. We'll see how it pans out over the next few tanks if I can keep my foot out of it.
@@The71chevyman that’s a discussion we may need to have when that time comes. I know ppe cut one up, unsure if they would share some pics with me. I should have asked. 😆
It’s not difficult, I actually have in depth video of me doing it but never assembled for upload on RUclips. Maybe tonight I will try to piece it together and give you a better look at it.
I ran into an issue where the oem rubber turbo boot was stuck to the turbo. Only 800 miles on the engine. It was a pita to remove but got through it by breaking the boot off. Worth the fuss tho lol sounds amazing
Soo wondering how this would do with the Banks Pedal Monster and I dash- and if you re-installed the S & B Cold air intake would the Banks system make the best use of that cold air intake. I basically am looking to better mileage and okay would like better performance. Thanks for your videos. I was about to buy that cold intake but stopped once I saw your video. Maybe when Banks comes out with one next year it will all work better?
Wondering if you can help me, I have a 22.5 lm2 and I recently installed the PPE carbon fiber intake and S&B cold air intake and the initial test drive went great no codes but the next day after driving for 5 minutes I got a P0421 code and just wondering if my upgrades could of caused it?
ugh, hate to hear that. Yes, I believe it is induced by the additional air. I do not like the design of the S&B and I bet if you went to the stock air box, you will have the same or more power and no light on. That being said, the ecm has had a few updates available and one of those may make the system a little less sensitive to be able to accept the additional airflow.
Update: make sure to turn your air filter life off first and not after you’re done, just had to turn mine off and unplug the battery and check engine light is gone😂
Link to the PPE elbow coupling you used for air box? Excited for air-raid video. I got a response from them when I asked why they didn’t make a intake pipe… they said it made no difference in performance that’s why they never developed a mid pipe like they have on earlier gassers… which I find bizarre
I agree, very bizarre, that's the only piece that really makes a difference, in my opinion. The elbow is part of the Charge air cooler hose kit, I am hoping they provide it with the carbon pipe though.
If you aren’t using the regular carbon tube you can send it to me and I’ll test fit it and run it for PPE! I’ve got most their stuff except for the pans and coolers.
That one is making its way onto a local truck as part of a big tow test video we are doing, sorry. Happy to see the PPE support though ! They’re a great brand for us, the 3.0 enthusiasts!
@@DemonWorks also… are there any reviews out on the AFE dual rear exit exhaust system? Or does anyone make an exhaust system that fits the dual rear cutout? I can’t do the side dump locations because it’ll look stupid with nothing where the factory dual cutouts are.
@@OnceUponATraveler I don’t know of anyone running that afe and I have no plans. Their customer service failed on me and I will only buy their product if I absolutely had to. with all the mods you are installing on the engine and trans, do you notice a gain or drop in MPG? and also how much power do you think you have gain over stock
I cannot say how much mpg I gained or lost, I have full records of every tank full but once I added the heavier wheels and tires, my mpg went down 2-3. With certain tests, I noted loss of mpg with most items. This pipe added throttle response and sound, too soon to comment on any mpg change.
