I want to cry this is SO GOOD, SO WELL explained. I'm subscribed to your classes and I think this video would be a great addition into the HSK3 - Lesson 11 module!
Thank you!! Its kind of weird because I have been thinking a couple of days that I need to look in to this 'ba' structure. Because in my reading practices I see it a lot. And then there are many 'ba' so I made it a point to start looking and understanding them. Today I open my youtube, and what pops up as one of the first videos I see? this video! So thank you for reading my mind. And I am getting heart palpitations thinking about all the other usages in the other levels.....
Oh 天了。How can I subscribe this 7times.... Perfect compression....And mastery of language and illustration.. Please don't die soon.. Keep safe... I love languages...Such talent is rare... Keep safe bro
use BA to move the object in front of the verb, in order to make the room after the verb for something else to put there. Post Verb is a information highlighted spot.
I think the best way to learn this for anglos might simply be repetition drills using the correct form till they acquire the structure implicitly. there's a parallel structure to this in German as there is also for the seperable verbs, though I'm still working it out in my own brain. Stell mal dieses buch auf dem Tisch herauf. We probably don't need more than HSK 3 for Ba structure tbh we will never write Chinese properly anyway but must understand it.
"把我的爱情还给我" gib mir meine liebe zurueck I think the best song for the ba structure is Teresa Teng ni shuo guo the love song where the faithless liar shows up a year later.
That's the best explanation I have seen of how to use 吧in a sentence...and I've watched and read a few. I feel like I understand it better now and have the confidence to give it a try. Language learners shouldn't get too hung up on making mistakes of course, but I'm more inclined to try out 吧sentences now, knowing that I have a better than even chance of getting it right.
i was just about to write the same comment, then I saw you already mentioned it. The writing should match the way his voice actually says it "我把孩子的衣服洗了"
Hi Chinese Zero to Hero. Is there a mistake in your example? Your verbal description does not match the text in the video. Should the text be: "我把孩子的衣服洗了?" Thank you, I enjoy watching your grammar videos - you explain the grammar points so clearly!!
谢谢!I think this will help me study better. I found knowing when and how to add 把 to a sentence tricky. I will watch this again as I continue to study sentences that could contain 把. It will also help me to understand more of the dramas I watch. I hear 把 a lot.
So 把书放在桌子上 means "put THE book on the table" because the 把-object needs to be definite. What if I want to say: "put A book on the table" (where the object is indefinite) ?? Then 把一本书放在桌子上 would be wrong ?? Actually seems okay to me. How else could we say it ?? I think that 放一本书在桌子上 would definitely be wrong, because a Chinese verb cannot be followed by both an object (一本书) and its "disposition" (在桌子上). Perhaps 在桌子上放一本书 might be okay. But it seems unnatural to me, because 放在 usually occurs together as a unit.
Thanks a lot. Please try to upload at least 2 or 3 videos every week. To be honest, all the lecture's are very interesting and motivational for learning. So efficient.
你好老师 i have doubt regarding to one of your ba sentence example. i washed my child's cloths. 我把孩子洗衣服了。 however, 孩子的衣服 is the object of the sentence right? pls help me. coz i convert above sentence into ba sentence like this 我把孩子的衣服洗了 . thats why yours and mine are not the same. being a leaner, it really confuses me. pls reply to me.
i've spent so much time trying to understand this........and i still can't i feel pathetic...........but like who even came up with such weird grammar and WHY

even im also struggling with those separable words in German
nice point. There are also other ways to learn any grammatical points, such as watching films or by reading interesting texts.

非常好的视频!在1:27有一个小的错误,“我把孩子的洗衣服了。”
i was just about to write the same comment, then I saw you already mentioned it. The writing should match the way his voice actually says it "我把孩子的衣服洗了"
Me too
@@elizabethhodges7398 It should be 我把孩子的衣服洗了 as the clothes are the baby's - not the washing
@@Avpixlamer is your answer not identical to mine? in which way do we differ ?
As always you have made it so simple and easy for all us!! Many thanks for such helpful video!!!

1:23 There’s a mistake here. The second sentence should be written as ”我把孩子的衣服洗了。” I love your videos, btw. They’re so helpful!!😊
thank you so much after what feel like years I finally get how to use this structure and when
Thank you soooooo much to this!!!!
谢谢!I think this will help me study better. I found knowing when and how to add 把 to a sentence tricky. I will watch this again as I continue to study sentences that could contain 把. It will also help me to understand more of the dramas I watch. I hear 把 a lot.
2:58 means place the book here and not place the book on the table
Very helpful, 谢谢
best video about ba, ngl.
OMG yes!!!! Thank you (as always!!!)

you say, “我把孩子的衣服洗了”
but it's written 我把孩子的洗衣服了。
2:43
it says, on the table, so can we say
把书放在桌子上 ?
Oh no! 🤦♂️
@@ChineseZeroToHero no worries, maybe you could add an annotation box with correction.

what grammar book do you use in this video?
Thank you, really helpful

Great thx!

Sir i think there is something wrong with the location of the book
Yeah the English said "table" but the chinese said "here." Grammatically it's the same either way.
@@ChineseZeroToHero yeah but how do you say "put the book on the table"? do you add "shang"??
Not exactly……给我那本书 is commonly used every day.
this said it only imply to hsk level 3 Grammar
Your videos are Excellent but more than one chinese tell me "我把孩子的洗衣服了“ (1:29) is wrong. It should be 我把孩子的衣服洗了 instead. Was it some dislexic typo?
yep it's typo
So, at 1:28, what you pronounce is correct but what is written has 洗 in the wrong place? This doesn't alter the quality of your explanation
把 is a nightmare, but I'm starting to understand.
谢谢您!
我把这视频看得懂!
给我那本书,没有任何问题。
this video is helpful but also you should proofread your presentation
我觉得 Chinese zero yo zero 肯定要考试做一集博客。
我把孩子的衣服洗完了 也可以吗?
可以呀~
I agree with ak shigri - very good content but for my ageing brain, delivered a little too quickly for me to grasp everything in one hit.
Yeah I'll slow down in the next video. RUclips doesn't allow us to reupload.
Thank you - that would be much appreciated.
A very good point. Just so you know as well, you can slow down RUclips videos by clicking the options and choosing a different playback speed.

I love this channel however the more I learn chinese the less I distinguish each tone pronounced. Isn’t that important or what?
Tones are still important. Listen to more authentic audio and get the sense of how the tones are actually pronounced in natural speech.
