I love cutting my own hair have been doing it for years saves me a lot of money and plus like you said I have a son now be cutting his hair also have a couple of nephews that I cut their hair too! Over the years I've gotten so much better .....now im starting to make lines and designs. Shout out to both my nephew's Malachi in Dallas and my son Jacob. Without them my skills wouldn't be half as great.

I started to invest in myself on 03 September 2015. The beginning was ROUGH! I would use a big guard as a "just in case", I would always sweat, my wife would be like "jus go back to the barber, etc etc. I then went on a hiatus, in 2017. After being reminded of the cost + not being satisfied with the cut all the time, I went back to it. Since it was a long while I had my brother refresh me on it. Since then, I only go to the barber shop if I want to be pampered. The more you do it, your confidence is up. My profile pic is my doing of a taper fade. Sir, I first watched your videos because you kept it simple. I tried watching others but they wer too complicated. I appreciate you young man! Keep up the good work. May the Lord keep you!

Been cutting my own for the past 22 years. Had to it as we were deployed to Iraq in an area without a barber shop. Many guys learned to buzz their own hair. Doing the math, i saved a grip of money and time!
Bro I’d love to cut my own hair. I just found a new barber.. I’m thinking I’ll start with a simple line-up and taper and just keep going over my barbers work. It’s hard man we got jobs and places we have to look presentable. But this the kind of gift I’m passing down to my son.

I totally agree with you on this topic. I just started cutting my own hair a few months ago. I viewed over 10+ videos before buying my set of clippers. During my process of gaining the basic knowledge to haircutting, I definitely watched a few of your videos. You helped out a lot! Great video. It's definitely about saving money. I pay 40 every 2-3 weeks. I used to do my own shape with a regular razor to shave with and I recently got the confidence to do my first tape up and it came out great and I don't even have to best equipment. It's an awesome skill to have for yourself and when or if you have kids.

I dabbled I’m self cuts before. Never stuck with it though.
But watching this vid inspired me to go all in and never look back! I spend $50/month. Not to mention the time.
That’s $300 a year! And I KNOW I can do a better job myself!
I recommend u make a vid on how to use just ONE clipper system, with whatever attachments it may come with. just for the beginners. Just so they see that it ain’t nuttin to it but to do it. Just an idea! Best of luck! God bless!

When i see my hair isn't perfect anymore, i can start right away instead of having to make an appointment for next week.
And my hair is always like i want it to be, no misunderstandings, no other opinion, ... if we practice enough of course.
However, my 20 year old Philips clipper is at its end now, doesn't cut evenly anymore, cable is damaged etc...
So I bought a Wahl ...😑
In my opinion, Wahl is for experienced (home)barbers, bit Wahl is unforgiving.
One mistake and boom a line.
Fading the same, lines lines lines.
Every time i switched back to my old Philips to do damage-control.
So now i ordered a new Philips but i lost my faith in my skills.
I recommend trying to cut your own hair but start without fading, or really 1 small fade with an adjustable clippers.
I only have my own experience with my own side part.
I’m 16 and I cut my own hair since I have to pay for my owne chothes and stuff with only my paycheck from McDonald’s cutting my own hair saves me a lot of money and I like to stay fresh every week I’m saying about 800 a year!!

Yea, you could look at it that way. You could also look at it as helping black people level up by saving them a little money. The fact that he young and learning a new skill while saving money, he might own his own barbershop one day.
And there will always be a need for barbers. I'm pretty decent at cutting my hair, but i wouldn't compare my skills to those of a experienced/licensed barber.
Fax bro I love cutting my own hair is the best experience in the world I'm so mad at myself I decided to cut my hair at 20 years old but I wish I was cutting my hair at 13 or 14 or maybe even younger it would've save me a lot more money and a lot more time I had too many bad experience at barbershops and I don'tlike the way most of them do they were cutting my hair treated me but now it's a save a lot of time money and I actually really enjoy cut my own hair feels better and looks a lot better my hairline pushed way back in my wave look incredible when I used to go to the barbershop and get my waves cut those which is cut off too much on my progress I'll have a gap in the middle of my waves messing up my connection
just caught Covid-19 from my barber i just ordered me a decent pair of clippers and some guards off amazon, been watching alot of videos if im successfull at cutting my hair i will NEVER go to a barbershop again.
They always charge me a different price everything time 25-40 dollars and yes the weekends you will be waiting 3-6 hours
Gotta stress to tue ppl...yall avtually need to save the money. Whatever you were paying for haircuts...pay that same amount to your savings account everytime you cut your own hair. PAY YOURSELF...transfer tht money, or put it aside.
