Just taking a moment to say CONGRATULATIONS to you, Jackie!! You now have more than 10k subscribers...and I'm so happy to be one of them. Your videos add a lot to my creative life, so thanks, and Congrats!!!!❤️
I DID NOT expect to love this, that neon red is almost blinding! BUT as it progressed I began to really enjoy the calming effect of the flowered and darker papers. Honestly this is one of my favorite of your projects (there are MANY) and I could hardly wait to finish the dishes, start a new audio book and head to my art supplies! Thanks for a fun Sunday afternoon!
These turned out beautifully! I love watching you create and listening to you describe your creative process and thoughts as you go along. I don't get much from watching someone paint or make art without any commentary. Always enjoy your videos, thank you so much! 😊
Love how these turned out. I absolutely agree that whatever art piece you love will fit in your environment and do nothing but enhance it. Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial.
Love using bold colors! The neutrals really tone things down. I tend to go bright on bright lol so this is super helpful for me to get both in there 😂 I guess it doesn’t matter as long as I like it or have fun ❤
I just watched this video (I know ... I'm very late to the party) but I love love love the result. I love bold colours and black & white. And everything goes together so beautifully. The gold really makes it pop ❤
I stumbled upon you "by accident" and I love what you did. I didn't think I would but I'm so glad I watched the whole video because now I can't wait to get back to my art room and try this. Thank you. I will be watching more of you.
I love these! Your colors are wonderful and look great in a frame. It seems I am more successful in a grid. Thank you for working in such great colors.
These are wonderful! I usually like working with curved lines, but I can see the beauty of straight lines when I look at what you do. PS. A house made of candy sounds delicious. 😂
Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing your process! I keep coming back to collage during my own art journey so I am trying again…appreciate your inspiring thoughts❤
Razzle dazzle with these bold colours and voila!... magic as always. I felt so energized and inspired watching this video Jackie. The results are delightful ly stunning. Thank you for sharing.🙏🏽💖✨🎉
What?? There are prople who don't like bright colors??? Oh wait, I personally know one. Well I agree with you - these colors fit anywhere - it's art! LOL. You have inspired me to try this myself ... ftom grid style to a big piece of paper! Sometimes when I watch you apply collage I actually yell out 'no not there' or 'make it smaller' - you do wind up making great art! Congrats on 10K - you're awesome! Linda H
Hmmmm… I’ll need to see if I still have my Inktense colored pencils… if not, these blocks may have to come into my life. Cause this looks like a FAB way to start a painting!! So much fun!
I sometimes want to paint really bold like that and think exactly what you said: where the heck would I put this?! I probably wouldn't hang it up...but if it's framed a certain way, it would definitely change the vibe. Painting bold colors and abstract design is fun, thank you for sharing your process!
Hi this is my first time watching you. Love the neon. I don’t make art to decorate my home but if I did it would be fine. And it does remind me of Architectural Digest maybe in NYC or neon and bold colors remind of the nostalgia of the 1980s when I lived in San Diego and La Jolla… enjoyed your video and looking forward to more.
I think matting or framing is such an important part of the work...they bring the art alive. Like putting a perfect pasta into a beautiful dish. Curious to know what you have on your walls? Love these.
Love the colors, though they're not my usual pallet 🎨 I would use 1 or 2 bold colors to make my muted colors pop. I definitely agree that art doesn't have to match any interior design style. It would definitely fit in an eclectic interior. Which is the most interesting IMHO 😊
Oh yes...inktense blocks...I haven't used for quite a while. Your pieces look great, and it's magical what a frame can do. Thanks Jackie and congrats on 10.000 subscribers! 🎉
@@jackieschomburgartyes, you got much better performance from the Inktense blocks than I did when I tried them last year. Maybe I should give them another shot. Maybe the paper I had was too cheap
@jojojo8835 It can be hit or miss with the inktense blocks - I wasn’t convinced that they were all that great at first. Keep trying new ways to use them and you might find a way that you LOVE ❤️
This is very encouraging and I’m stuck right now. Would you tell me what tissue paper you get from Blick? There are some that have different names:) thx and have a great day 🤍
Hi Jackie, happy Sunday:-) I’m just 2 minutes in and was wondering, do you have a coat or 2 of gesso before you begin? Thank You so much for sharing your process and time.🙏🏻💖
I use to never put any art work out on display at our old home. When we were packing my husband said why are we packing all your art if you are not going to display it. So i put up white shelves in our foyer, and long hallway. It has our guest bathroom in that hallway. I have hung and displayed nothing that matches. Its a true Picasso bight color of everything. My entire family loves it. When we have parties, I jokingly put price tags on all the art in the hallway. It makes for great conversation. Life is really too short to not be yourself and be proud of any art you make. Even if its stick figures drawn in pencil. Seriously. While purple is my jam of colors, i will use any and all colors. If you have an empty wall, fill it with a framed piece of art.
Yes! Yes! YES!! I love your attitude! ❤️❤️❤️ (and please, if you have art you’d like to sell, leave those price tags up with real prices you’d be happy to accept! No more jokes! 😘)
I love how bold your art is, but for those afraid of bright colours, large bright abstracts are a predicted decor trend for 2024 so people should get used to seeing more of them - you may get some new converts!
This was soooo cool, and very inspiring!!!! If you don’t mind me asking what brand of mixed media paper are you using? Also congrats on the 10k subscribers 🤯🤍🙏🏽❤️

Hi! Not usually - I’m too impatient 🤣 This is mixed media paper so it may already be treated with something but I’m unsure.
