Steering wobble, back wheel chatter and an engine that wants nothing to do with part throttle or rpm. This has to be the best video showing what old school, brilliant bikes were like. I've given it a like because it won't let me give it a love. Absolutely stunning bike and ride.
My farther and his buddy once nearly missed a ferry because they kept listening to this engine roaring around a race track for too long. Given how punctual my farther was, this is the greatest compliment in the universe.
After a hard day at the office, feet up....Gin in hand......this has made my day awesome.....sitting here with my lass, question from her...do you think the rider gets bored....lol....also after watching this....just agreed, Classic TT is a must for us this yr....thanks Wiz Norton..

Although this would be called excellent weather- the sun/shade/sun/shade transitions are extremely difficult...good rider who clearly knows the course...:-)
Also because in a rotary, there's never a "cool down" period in between cycles for the chamber. "There's always a fire burning" is the old saying for them
That rotary really sounds glorious, thanks for sharing. Just a question regarding the temperature readings. If you could possibly hold a temp steady, what would it be, regarding this engine's characteristics? Because I couldn't look away from that dial and thinking "they are running it way too hot". But then again, what do I know?
I believe if I was going to risk my life and race like that I would put a bike under Neath me where there was a possibility to win Richard definitely rides good enough just not the right bike sounds good though, Richard i don't know if you are brave or crazy!!!you are a smooth cat,and what you are working with, hat's off
a bull elephant would be jealous of this guy's balls, the engine and exhaust note is very similar to an RG500 with K&N filters and allspeeds, i love the high speed burble and the low speed pop pop pop
that rotary engine has zero vibrations! I can see the road clearly. I love it! I see it can rev to 11k rpm. Is it a 1300cc? and how much torque and hp this beauty has?
dear friend, the last nrv588 make 165 to 175 hp and 288 lbs weight... you can see in a ride with alan cathcart (google and youtube) this 588 rotary are easily tunned for more power... now you are happy???????????????????????????
A code of two stroke oil in the petrol saved a lot of these screening engines that could rev as far as your fist would turn😆that splitter is an umistacabe sound.💥💨
How much time you lost in each lap every time he had to roll out because of that unstable front end my God man he did a awesome job of riding that thing
Jas ward The LCD readout on the right is air temperature as it leaves the engine. There is an air cooling system using exhaust gas speed. Generally the higher the revs, the faster the gas speed, the greater the cooling, which is why it reads a relatively low temperature at high speeds (sulby straight) and the rises under braking

Is it just me, the Norton rotary doesn't sound that different to a hi revving inline 4 bike engine in this on bike vid, apart from low revs and that decel stutter, and slight whine on decell, when you hear something like a tuned up Mazda rotary engined drag race car, the sound is night and day different to an inline 4 or V8, but it seems less so with this. but all in all it would be good to have rotaries back in bike racing, to have some variety.
I won't say the rider is mad, I blame it on his powerful machine, so fast and lightening speed.. very very dangerous sometimes..he has passed the speed of 330 in these congested roads..

Absolutely stunning bike and ride.

Brrrr, Bap Bap Bap, Whaaaaaaa! Evil sounding machine.
that twisty section near the end. sounds amazing, 12:19
Do you have First World War Noises, by the Renettes?
My farther and his buddy once nearly missed a ferry because they kept listening to this engine roaring around a race track for too long. Given how punctual my farther was, this is the greatest compliment in the universe.

Thx u! thank you! TY! Finally, a video without yapping, and music.
simply white knuckle, ball shriveling racing! :)
I always tilt my head in these videos. Great ride, awesome sound.
Nic Marshall yea I know exactly what you mean, you can't help it.
How can you not tilt your head?
John Hulse thought I was the only one.. you wearing your helmet too ?? 😀😀
One of my all-time fave on-boards to watch, that sound is just beautiful! Thanx for posting.

Balls of steel mate balls of steel!!!
GOD, that thing sounds absolutely wicked. I just wish my uncle was still here to see the Norton name back on tracks and roads
That rotary sounds beautiful
I love this video ! Norton 100% Motorcycle.

*Gratuitous Victor Meldrew reference
Sounds beautiful, especially on the over-run!!
thanks for posting awesome onboard. watch it on a phone or tablet and lean into the corners by tilting the phone adds another dimension. cheers iain
Love the sound.
Best sounding bike of all time, love it. What causes splutter at mid range
That's just how it runs when on part throttle. Loves to be revved fully but you do need to roll off from time to time around the TT!
Unburned hydrocarbons.

Awesome !!! Sure does like air flow doesn't it the temp goes up 10 degrees every time you brake
well spotted, and is that the radiator cap just to the right of the temp read out, I wonder why the rad is mounted so high
Three radiators- one up front and one on each side of the engine. Not enough room for a big radiator across the front!
Prob. the one of the reason is less fuel in cylinder that cools the piston and chamber.
Also because in a rotary, there's never a "cool down" period in between cycles for the chamber. "There's always a fire burning" is the old saying for them
@@Desmodromic916 What piston? 😂
Awesome bike, awesome track knowledge and awesome skills.
Helmet off to you sir.
rotary engine, love it!
One slight miscalculation and you are instant mincemeat.
This rider is THE BOMB !!!!!!!!
Very scary but very exciting too.
Love the Norton sound..So mesmerizing.
Great video, thanks for posting. That Paddock marshal wasn't to keen on you going back out after the Pit Stop!

Thats one hell of a machine
Classic bike.. but still insane😮😮😮 big respect to this guyz...❤❤❤🎉🎉
Fuck me the speed and the sound of the thing, I had no idea these rotary's were so incredible, this blew my mind!
If someone offered me one million squids to be on the back, I'd happily decline.

My favorite dream bike and what a symphony 👍👍👍💪💪💪🏍🏍🏍🏍
love the conversation in the pit brilliant.
It's kind of the perfect mix of 2stroke, 4stroke and triple!
Omg! 😲
That's Really Faster bike ever! 👏👏👏
a bull elephant would be jealous of this guy's balls, the engine and exhaust note is very similar to an RG500 with K&N filters and allspeeds, i love the high speed burble and the low speed pop pop pop
Glorious soundtrack 👍👌
That's peripheral port for sure
Eine echte Lehr stunde für alle Formel 1 Weicheier und Warmduscher!!! WOW!!!
that rotary engine has zero vibrations! I can see the road clearly. I love it! I see it can rev to 11k rpm. Is it a 1300cc? and how much torque and hp this beauty has?
588cc 2 cilinders about 170 hp
Cylinders? Are you sure?I thought it had 2 eliptical combustion chambers and an excentric motion 3 lobe geared rotor.
Where did you get 170 hp from? 110 hp according to this dyno run ruclips.net/video/j-1nKtxZ2Wk/видео.html
yes sorry,no cilinders, a mental lapsus !!! and 130 hp , no 170 hp...

Fuck me i never thought Victor Meldrew would be that quick on a bike!!
i don't belive it
Norton cool from a growler to a
screemer sounds beautiful
Awesome very brave rider!
sounds the dogs nads mate what bike is it
love the sound of the tickover
Norton F1 (rotary bike).
Wow very two stroke like. Excellent.
Just beautifull respect !!
Magical forever an ever.
Does that thing ride as frightening as it sounds??? :o
10,300+ rpm. Sheesh! Check out the "wiznorton dyno runs". Really cool.
the sound is a symphony ..
Sounds like a 2stroke beast 😍😍
Its rotary.
A code of two stroke oil in the petrol saved a lot of these screening engines that could rev as far as your fist would turn😆that splitter is an umistacabe sound.💥💨
What is the display that says around the 90 all the time?!
1 hour drive like that 😯😯😯😯😯😯, what is happened bro why u are not aplodding a new videos 😢😢😢😢
money no object....this Norton and the Britten v twin.
Insane machine :) . But what is that vibrating sound we hear sometimes?
Rev limiter
Smooth riding with a hint of a chainsaw and a creaking house on a cold windy night.
What the Brutal Brap!!
The lack of powerful engine braking would make this a way way different engine to ride on.
absofuckinlutely splendid!
How much time you lost in each lap every time he had to roll out because of that unstable front end my God man he did a awesome job of riding that thing
anyone know what the lcd readout is for on the right?

Thanks, i just couldn't work it out, never been on one of those but I would love to have a blast on one.
What's on the sticker on the triple clamp ? :D
Just a gentle reminder to breathe out to try prevent armpump!
What cc engine is it? Sounds a lot like an old 2 stroke motor.
Awesome 🔥
Beautiful
Sounds like a 2 stroke on steroids!
Can anyone say me what was the speed of the motorcycle
Yes.
Just amazing
Oh wow it's like a Norton sim I will just sub your great channel and get me helmet !
what was the lap time
Jos gandos, top tenan best of the best.
but also the performance of the driver must not be ignored the drive from good and bad is more brutal than the devil!
dududududududdudu :) insane
whats the digital readout?
water temperature
Mian Cowell air temperature through the centre of the engine
Wife sent a pic of lingerie says, "get home in 10 mins and you can have a 'treat'..." this is the result
Best old school
do i hear a traction control?
I like to watch this video while listening to Orinoco Flow ( SAIL AWAY ) - Enya. It just makes sense to me, and Hopefully to You also.

he is a good rider
Incredible bike , fragile but oh so unique.
200 + mph machine.
Sounds like a mixture of a 2 stroke and four stroke with something extra...
For me it's between two stroke and a jet engine 🤪
I won't say the rider is mad, I blame it on his powerful machine, so fast and lightening speed.. very very dangerous sometimes..he has passed the speed of 330 in these congested roads..
Is that traction control interrupting the revs ?
no traction control, is a irregular carburation of this rotary 2 strokes engines ...
No, traction control is not allowed in this race, the mid-range noise is normal for this engine on part / transition throttle
what cc is that?
Лютая катка:)
