No quick shifters no auto blippers no traction control no anti wheelie no launch control, just skill, brilliant racing.

Fantastic era of superbikes , loved going to these meetings. The Nortons came to Castle Combe for a round & they were a joy to watch 👌

Nation on the Norton at the NW was something that has always stayed with me, the noise and the smell of the Norton flat out was wild😮

There's a whole bunch of the Norton rotarys on display at the National Motorcycle Museum. Its quite something to see them all lined up together. Funny that now they're historic relics, but at the time they represented the rebirth of the new Norton enterprise.

Only 130. It's basically 600 with worse power delivery. Thank God modern BSB is so much better

My first sports bike was a ZXR400 with Ray Stringer Sabre Airways paint job. A beauty before I hit a lamp post. Thanks for the video 👍

Norton spent their budget on girls, clothes and paint jobs. The bikes were cobbled together.

It's amazing how this circuit looks so wide and big compared to with the modern bikes that are so fast the circuit just becomes a blur

Owning a kitted RC30 with the self started removed, as was the RC 30 of Steve Chambers, from personal experience I know how difficult that V4 is to bump start when hot!

@@Norton1531 swept volume not just the combustion cycle, if a 4 cylinder 1000cc motorcycle capacity was measured in the same way that Norton measured their engine the engine capacity would only be 250cc for the combustion cycle as the 1000cc four cylinder engine will only be firing on one cylinder at a time, the Norton swept volume was 588 x3 approx.
